legba1:Watch again the position of the defender in yellow at the top of the screen when the volley pass was released, not the defender beside him. Don't you know the rules of the game again?? |
I am very wary about downloading anything on the web from unknown sources but just had to do this and i must say it was a clear goal. No offside here at all. The stadium has artificial turf and the contrasting sections draws a clear line showing the defender about a yard behind the forward when the ball was released. The LMC should review the video and take appropriate action against the referees for that terrible decision to disallow the goal and for Kano Pillars.... honestly they are just symptomatic of all that is wrong in Nigeria and black Africa in general.... disgusting. |
Aidejay:Don't start this propaganda please. The state of public services is a reflection of the quality of governance. If properly elected leadership that is accountable to the citizens is in place, state police will have no option than to follow the rules of law and the rules of engagement. The police in Nigeria, the road traffic agency in Lagos, etc are a refection of the quality of political leadership which is in turn a reflection of the quality of the process that empowers them. |
That is why I finally quit two decades ago. But Abuja is fast catching up the unsavoury rankings as the city deteriorates by the year. |
Aren't you guys tired of all these sob stories. Just do what is right at the polls. Be cerebral not emotional if your situation will not become worse, far worse in another twelve months. |
But there is something at El-Dorado aka Aso Rock that nullifies all this, some electromagnetic force that made Lipton Tea drinkers in the early days of 2015 become the global yardstick for 'squandermainia' (apologies to the late Sani Abacha) and heavenly 'gbesenomics'..... ah, ah, why is my system deleting these words.... abeg leve me jor.... ![]() |
Good one. Great development, investing into alternative means of delivering basic healthcare. Other states should wake up or bet left completely behind. Invest is basic amenities and halt the population drift and with it economic seeds of future growth for people will always gravitate towards areas of better governance. |
Burnt many houses down and killed scores.... Torched half my room in my college finals. |
LadyD22:Then stop applying the damn thing and the confusion will cease. Warris all dis. Do you people act movies everyday, haba. Play reality tv sometimes nau. |

Oyecool:This one is still in 2013 or 14 doing history lessons. Anyway Nigerians are still blaming Lord Luggard whom I'm certain blamed Mungo Park before him. Meanwhile they are preparing to elect another fossil into office. Na una Sabi. |
'We will' people. Government of "we willers'. Now in it's twilight with a few months to go shouldn't it be writing it's Will. |
It depends how on when those pictures were taken. Some of those places have deteriorated badly. The city is suffering from congestion right down to the centre and public works are creaking. |
That is the lot of the engineering profession. You probably started young, too young to know the implications on family, friends and relationships the totally unpredictable times and seasons the profession throws up so that you made it a point of duty to create a family around that with full disclosures to your better half before tying the knot. A core engineer will only have time for family when he grows old and retires to the office or from the job completely. You're lucky. I know some folks that spend only three weeks a year with their loved ones. |
bluefilm:Paid.... when he should be in a chain gang.... what do you mean? |
obembet:Public works is better. Environmental sanitation like clearing drains, horticulture, and other stuff that government cannot handle. |
GOTv subscription is far too low honestly.... ![]() |
ufotunang:The engine of state is grinding to a halt. The government itself has acknowledged it is in full blown bankruptcy, borrowing to pay salaries and perhaps to flush the toilets in state house. The economy is about to 'knock'. Get ready to trek to safety. |
All these serious issues must be solved by the Ministry of Justice. Anything that will move our Darling nation forward is all we want at . Nigeria will be great again in our lifetime.
Kai.... no longer in this 'heavenly' administration..... ![]() See wahala for all those who fell for the hype.... 7 long years after the huff and puff, the fights and bric-bats..... it is now a lifetime quest abi.... Who do us this thing... |
kingamaa:That is how they get attention. If this did not happen will you hear they have not been paid for six months. The alternative will be to shut down the airports, but then government lackeys will accuse them of economic sabotage and being security threats and leaders will be emboldened by this to send the DSS after them..... not so. So the tactics will be to 'bite and administer laxatives', like some hardy blood sucking predators I know. We have cultivated a country where the leaders do not respect or dread the led so we stumble through day by day. You dare not owe staff of Heathrow or JFK without serious consequences, that will see government intervention in a matter of hours.... not months.. |
And I hope they are profiled enough to ensure they do not get jobs in other establishments. |
Like I said earlier, having a PVC in Nigeria is like betting on Manchester City to win the league with your house at the end of last season only to discover that they have begun to exchange their players and coaching crew wholesale for Southampton's..... ![]() When you have a Football Association so poorly structured, a game so unprincipled, and teams so wishy-washy, no one will ever win a bet... or should I say in this case, win any dividend of democracy. That is why elections increasingly have so few takers, no confidence at all in the whole thing. Just last weekend a governor of a whole state of 3 million was elected by less than 200,000 people.... what kind of poor mandate is that, but of course that is why he will not serve them. Restructure Nigeria, change the game and its rules to bring citizens out and the cycle of good governance and a virile democracy will be established. |
Nukilia:GEJ never put any credible structure in place for subsidy removal..... but at least he went the furthermost on this knotty matter, being the most courageous leader so far in taking the boldest step of our time. the APC criminals rode on the protest to deceive the masses. .... when or if Mr. Tinubu becomes President, the choice of running mate may not turn out to be the biggest albatross he faces but the subsidy question. I just wonder what on earth he will say to Nigerians in convincing them it has to go....after his very public and well publicized actions during the GEJ regime. It will be a case of damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I just cannot see his regime being a peaceful and thus progressive one, but one of running battles with unions and activists here and there with the ghosts of social media pursuing him from pillar to post, reminding him of his past 'sins'. Peter Obi is also coming to impoverish more people because a sectional president can not lead this country successfully...... On the contrary, I think Peter Obi is the best person and in the best position to solve this subsidy quagmire. For one, his position concerning the matter has been consistent over the years, that it is a total waste. Secondly, he has never weaponized the sticky wicket for political gain in the past, he has not been in any decision making process for or against subsidy so he will be given the benefit by the public. Thirdly, his brand of politics is the closest to an ideologically driven one, one of economic conservatism, which will not fit the palette of elitist Nigeria but will win over the poorest of the poor, the biggest resistance to subsidy. And finally, he has demonstrated in the past that he can generate the revenues to either maintain subsidy if a gun is placed to his head, or build alternate investments to nullify subsidy or build palliative cushions by being a big ticket financial conservator. This is entirely different from the borrow to spend ideology of the present regime or the tax to spend ideology of any potential Tinubu regime as evident in the economy of Lagos state. So I cannot see where Peter Obi being a sectional leader in the face of such grave national issues comes from, except if obviously you cannot rise above pervading ethnic sentiments.... like most Nigerians. If we are to look to any one of the leading candidates as a solution to this serious subsidy issue, Mr Obi (based on antecedents) has the best chance of sorting it out least painfully. |
Elections do have serious consequences. Where are those selling their votes for N5,000. That will soon be five litres for four years of democracy come 2023. Let me see if you can turn five litres to 'feed' three thousand kilometres of innercity transportation. Honestly, INEC giving out PVC's like candy without a brief sanity or IQ test is a crime against democracy. |
Not surprised. Japan is a very conservative nation. |
davodyguy:And the premiums he will pay subsequently will rise astronomically and possibly affect all his other automobiles. Any accident is costly one way or another, insurance is not free money. |
Yet another reason why a PVC is useless and cannot deliver a better life for the average Nigerian. In a clime where there are no rules, no standards, no honour what is there to invest in. If you ask me to bet that Real Madrid will beat Millwall I will be excited to wager my house but if the players emerge in the second half and Benzema and Luka Modric are now playing for Millwall and the defence of Millwall has switched to Real Madrid then my wager is just a waste of time and resources.... so is the average PVC as far as this report is concerned. Restructure Nigeria first to set the rules of the game, develop values and ideologies, then democracy will become meaningful and elections will become tools of national development. For after 23 years of so called democracy and after 6 general elections if the country is worse than it was in 1999 in all indices of life and decent living and the nation is tottering on the verge of collapse then we must be doing something seriously wrong and persisting in error. I will be the last to support futile attempt at patchwork nationhood or bask in self delusion that we are making progress. The elections just days ago is further proof that no lessons have been learnt over 23 years. None whatsoever. |
...And what is Harry Maguire up to..... possibly at Orlando catching up with his pals at Disney World..... ![]() |
EmptyGarden:This is the modern day oracle you are speaking about. Five minutes with him and you join the club of billionaires.... that is if you have faith. |
Miyachi:And who makes the laws, is it not the people through their Representatives. That is where the people know their position, at the top of the democratic food chain. But when they accept to be used as mops to clean the floor, it is the so called leaders that make the laws and certainly to favour themselves. |
donaldking10:When citizens will continue to demean themselves by collecting stipends at the polls in exchange for their franchise what do you expect. They forget that democracy by simple definition puts all the cards in their hands and gives them unmitigated power over those that govern, but just like the tale of the infamous Esau in the Holy Book, 'when he sought his inheritance he was rejected though he wept.' Folks, politicians in other climes FEAR the citizens that elect them into office. That is the origins of a working justice system. It is not by wishful thinking. |
