sinola:America is the most patriotic leaning country in the world and knows what honour is a about. They have no national carrier yet they have the largest aerospace industry in the world and have sent men to the moon, so they know how to spend and waste money yet not one penny (cent) of government money is in airlines. Even at the height of the financial crises when banks and autos were getting bailouts, airlines were not given money. Think man. All prime European countries have since sold thier national carriers and fled save the French who have this never say die attitude even though Air France is bleeding the government dry. And these are countires with excellent aerospace industries, good economies, vast experience and competent management skills, high patronage due to high standards of living and minimal corruption. Yet. |
Ioannes:No. What is fraudulent is every family having four, five, six, seven children. That is a quadruple surge in population in a very short time. It will take massive sacrifices of intellect, time and treasure to guarantee quality education to them all. That is the scam called Nigeria, our run away population. Who will agree to forgo education for his ward if he had a choice? Will you? |
It is entirely normal. Einstein did not have a billion dollar budget and state of the art laboratories to do exploits. The ascension to excellence is not only tasking on the mind but on the soul. Challenges is a proof of desire and a fuel for conquest. My concern is that having scaled all these hurdles and imprinted your name in the sands of time, donot leave a shadow simikar to ehat you met. After all someone walked these same paths and left an awful mess on the way out. Yes, someone like you is responsible for all you see and experience. Make a clear difference. |
Folks will not ask where is Nigeria Airways, Kabo Air, Okada Air, Chachangi, Bellview, Sosoliso, ADC, etc and etc. because we are black men, who hate knowledge, donot do post mortems, mount road blocks instead of libraries of criminal science, abhor the study of history so will be eternally condemned to repeat failings. No one wants to know why the average lifespan of air concerns have been about a decade despite the fact that their owners and promoters have been some of the most endowed, profesaional and savvy business men of their time. Something obviously doesn't add up yet no one wanted to find out before throwing billions into the fire yet again by ignoring he warnings of those burnt to ashes. Can anyome explain to me why we are this dumb. |
Giving air to what I have said. A money pit. QED. |
Rumicarter:Agreed. But my problem is.... exactly when did you realise this... oh when the Jagaban said so I guess.... Next question.... What is the guarantee that the Olu guy will be better.... no Idea.... the Jagaban said so... |
...and the womenfolk will still blame man for what is obviously a personal choice. You just don't sleep walk into Ghana to sell your body. |
That is what tou get when you permit a godfather select your political office holders. Tragedy is defined astuhe sorry situation happening all over again. I have no pity. Folks are made or destroyed by what they care to know. |
stevodot22:Who bets on United these days. They have long ceased to be champions stuff. |
Pool looks the real deal this season. Hope they have the stamina to win trophies though. |
SillyeRabbit:The APC will still take the day and no one will be flogged. I am baffled that you can even fathom any sort of change of ideology for the better amongst Nigerians |
I can't believe for the life of me, that in this time and age, a simple recall protocol cannot be initiated say within a minute, 5 minutes, up to say thirty minutes after a transaction protocol has been initiated. This is a big let down, honestly. And not only because of crime and human error, but because of network and system errors that play havoc once in a while to which the individual is entirely not at fault. How many times have I have I sent money, First Bank, GTBank, Diamond, Access, Ecobank that you get a system fault/error prompt only to discover later that the transactiin indeed was processed....yes, twice, thrice and as many times as you were fooled by the dodgy system when obviously you were anxious to get the transaction done. |
I don't do people and sure know that these competitions are not absolute and merely a snap shot of opportunity but c'mon her face is not exactly conform to Da Vinci's Laws of Proportion that describes heavenly beauty. This look is very, very average. |
Same thing as a police car driving against traffic and running stop signs. They make the laws and break them.....then tell us the people why we have to obey the laws. But its all good. The greatest victims of this anti corruption war should be the professors themselves. Next time they will think twice about trying to set standards they themselves cannot meet and have no intention of doing. Change the game, not he players. |
Adakintroy:You are absolutely wrong on the second part and Mr. TB Joshua is not helping matters in that one thing that matters.... Knowledge. It is the key to everything. If that man in question knew, he will simply not be there. He will have known he had a problem and he will have known how to extricate himself from it. But I guess you like mist Africans find the quest for knowledge tasking so the ability to handle issues becomes a collective concern well exploited by some pastors, spiritist churches and other religious groupings who deliberately keep their congregations in the dark and feed them with bread when they can be giving them a bakery instead.... for obvious reasons.... continued patronage. And please, it is not Paul you should use when trying to diss Word based churches. Paul was the epitome of knowledge. It is no concidence Gid went after him and converted him to become a super apostle who laid the ground work for the modern church age by writing the bulk of the new testament. What the bible referred to qasnthe abundance of philosophers, Hebrew, Roman and Greek who exiated during that period and whose ideas and were often a threat to the Truth, the scriptures. Please read your Bible intensely and get to know God personally. TB Joshua is but a man that will go some day. Where will that leave you. |
mmb:Mister man. That is democracy. There is freedom of aspiration and association. One man's defence is another man's offence and the friction between contenders ia what yields the benefits to the common man. So to accuse one of selfishness is to look at oneself in the mirror because same can be said of Mr. President. One thing I will not support is totalitarianism or autocracy which you guys fly all the time. You want Mr. President to become an emperor or a governor for life so that fter his days are done our democracy will still remain in infancy. No. We need reformed systems and strong institutions, not strong men. We need to be able to put people there who we can EASILY remove when the err or underperform because every man has his faults and bad days. Every man. Don't deny the liberty to others you have so graciously received to have your preferred candidate elected. For there were others before him who could have easily become maxim leaders as well. I know it is difficult for Africans to think comprehensively and introspectively but it is absolutely important that the game be considered as paramount and not necessarily the players. |
Telling someone he doesn't have the ability is an insult again....what is wrong with this government and their perpetual inability to advance democracy. Seeking totalitarianism at every opportunity. We hear this of practically every sitting head of state or government and they don't blow a gasket every time they are criticised. I have never seen a government with such a soft underbelly as this. Just focus on good governace damn it. |
Trustme2:Oga your run away unproductive population cannot afford you the opportunities that existed then. That is the reality. Our collective loins have far out-performed our grey matter as a society. |
This war, this carnage cannot be won by force of arms alone. Said it countless times, said enough. Insurgencies will bleed the life out of standing armies drop by drop until the will to win in extinguished. I forsee conscription if 'winning the hearts and minds' is not prioritised. |
Dov3:Nigerians are not enlightened enough to know how democracy can be made to work for them. We are stuck in a viscious cycle of ignorance hence we have rarely seen a better next year. Every index of living is declining progressively. |
By 2019 everyone will be demystified.... that is all I have to say... |
Good decision. Government has no business in business thoughtless of one that is not a business as far as I and Nigeria is concerned. The bottom line is that we remain too poor to make the airline industry a viable one. It will have always been a money pit for government and a sophisticated docking system for corruption. Government should focus on the rail sector and bring all its assets to bear on the linking of cities, towns and communities. That will have a rwal multiplier effectnon the economy by cutting into the cost and ease of doing business at the same time increasing productivity and creating jobs in millions. Investing in a venture as cut throat competitive and as technological and managerially tedious as the airline business is, is sheer madness. |
But what did Kemi bring to the south west... nothing. Heck, she is not even a citizen of this country and has probably returned to her roots. Ethnicity is the greatest undoing of this country. |
...haven't had a good laugh in a while...hahahaha.... Guv Roach. Not only acidic rain but meteorites from Saturn....hahahaha... |
bankylan:Exactly what I tell them. Comparing apples and oranges. Lagos is what it is because of the Federal government. In time to come the indigenous peoples of the FCT, Abuja will enter a similar boast of how developed their towns and villages are. Why compare state resources, why not compare living standards as other well informed peoples of other progressive nations do. How wealthy is the average Lagosian compared to citizens of other federal states. That is a fairer comparison and a better barometer of the quality of political service. |
Sick stuff. Culture is a curse, God's answer to rebellion. |
Not surprised. Everyone single person who served either as MILAD or Minister in the Buhari and Idiagbon cabinet between 1983 to 1985 is a multi billionaire today or died as one. |
....oops, there goes six months workers salary....just like that. |
illitrate:....and who makes the missiles, instals them and operates Syrian air defence batteries....yes, Russia. This was the event the founders of modern English expressions anticipated when they said, 'shooting oneself in the foot....' |
This forum abeg. Reflective of our sinking society. Positives are moving further apart. |
A man without education is worthless. |
traihit:Sorry sir, but English is the language of my birth and I'm a Nigerian. I know no other language. So it cannot possibly be a second language to me. |
