They get trained here and flee Nigeria because of bad governance.
I am privileged to work in a health sector of the state, and I know how Doctors complain bitterly about the ill treatment Nigeria system is giving them, most of them usually tell me how they intend leaving the country should any slight opportunity surface.
Even nurses are not left behind, they recount number of friends that have left to UK, and are enjoying the profession there Leaving Nigeria was the best decision I have ever taken. Nigeria doesn't know the value of doctors.. |

yahaya2014: Nairalanders,
Here is my story.
I met this girl while teaching in a secondary school. She came to write Waec in the school. That was how we met and started seeing each other. She was so in love with me, that she had to chase away the lady I was dating then because of her frequent presence in my house. She virtually spent nights in my place.
Two months after the relationship, she got pregnant as at that time I got a job with a bank for six month. We resolved to keep the pregnancy.
After three months, the bank terminated the job. I came back home. Remember during this period, my family never liked her.
But due to the pregnancy, my Dad had to accept her and went to meet the father. Only for the father to say the daughter isn't someone to marry. But if we insist. No problem.
During the period of her pregnancy, there are challenges and suffering. There was a night she almost died in my house because she was feeling bad that I am leaving her to my place of work (the bank job). We rushed her to the hospital and resuscitated her.
To cut the long story short. I got a federal job as a lecturer. Brought her and child over to my place against the decision of my family, because my conscience couldn't let me abandon her.
One year of her staying, she started acting and committing all sort of things like stealing and nagging. She went home two times on trivial issues.
The last one was surprising to me as we were fine. She was working in one private school because I promise to get her what to do. The day I gave her my phone, our problem started. She started acting and saying that she wants to leave. That she is not happy. I now told her to keep my son for me and she didn't object because I had no intention of taking him along.
She will answering calls from guys. She will ran out if her fone is ringing.
I now concluded to give her money to go after series of begging her to stay because of the child. I called her parents and brothers. But she was adamant. She left and never went home but went straight to another place.
She is there sleeping with men and all. But I have cut her off from myself and the child.
Hope my decision is not wrong? You people like to bring unnecessary drama into your lives and complicate it. Bad enough to be involved in premarital sex.. Foolish enough not to use condoms. 2 months into relationship, she gets pregnant. Let's hope you are indeed the father of the child |

I was 26 and not married. My mum repeatedly embarrassed me with:
-You are a source of shame to me. -All my mates have sons-in-law and grandchildren. -Menopause is approaching. Its a pity -Hope you are not a lesbian. -Are you into prostitution that you have refused to marry? -Your mates post pictures of themselves with their husbands and children on Facebook & WhatsApp.Where is your own? You are still posting single pictures.
And so many hurtful statements.
I was struggling in my final year in medical school. But she was more interested in me getting married.
I got married 2 years after during my housemanship.
Our relationship has been kinda strained..especially after I relocated to UK.
I only just send her money...We don't talk much.
I have 2 kids now..Her grandchildren. I love my mum.I miss her though but I haven't forgotten. |

safarigirl: I will never understand how people get married and have kids in certain conditions
OP, why are you waiting for your husband to give you money for everything? Didn't you have a means of making money before marriage?
I'm so sorry if I sound harsh, but do you people think marriage can run on vibes and Inshallah? At the end, the only victim here is an innocent baby.
Why will you birth kids you can't sufficiently care for?
At first, I was wondering why you wouldn't be with your husband, but even he, is living at the mercy of his sister, why won't your stepmother do anyhow, when she knows neither you nor your husband are capable of bringing hail and brimstone upon her?
This is the worst time to be stuck in the same house with an evil witch.
I pray your daughter heals, and I pray God protects her, from whatever harm that witch will want to further inflict on her, but you cannot protect your child, when you live at the mercy of the tormentor They do it so that they can be classified as wife materials..They hope to testify tomorrow with "When we got married, things were so rough that my wife went back to her father's house while I was squatting with my sister..But today,we have 5 mansions and 10 cars". Rubbish! On this platform, you will see people advising that a man who earns 20K can marry and have kids. I'm very sure her husband was earning very low..so that he couldn't even save. |
Family › Re: My Stepmother Poured Hot Water On My Baby! I'm So Angry by spiceadole(f): 9:26pm On Apr 13, 2020 |
Tiarababy: I'm married with one kid. My husband lost his job when I was seven months pregnant. We are no longer living together. I'm back to my dad's house with my step mom and 4 siblings.
Things are not easy for us here because my step mom hated us from day one. She only cooks for herself, my dad and her children. She don’t give me and my baby and my brother from the same mom food. I have been managing with the little money I get from my husband. I do cook for us to eat that’s a story from another day.
Last week I went to meet with my husband to get money he promised to give me to stock up foods for us during this lock down. I left my baby with my brother only for me to come and meet my brother carrying my baby. She was screaming in pain and when I looked she had burn in her body from her right chest to her right hand. I almost collapsed because I left my baby very fine in good healt.
My brother said my step mom was preparing tea for her kids so she had left the hot water in the pot and my baby fell on the hot water. I got angry at my brother how could he be careless not to watch my baby when he knew our step mom don’t like us. I almost hit him and my step mom didn’t care. She acted like nothing, not even a sorry to me. My dad says I should be quiet accidents do happen and it’s nothing to be angry about. His words really shocked me but what can I do.
What pained me is my little sister of 5 years opened up to me that it was my step mom who poured water on the baby because she caught my baby eating her bread she left and she told her to keep quiet if she tells she will beat her and she pleaded with me not to tell her mum.
I knew she did it because she is very wicked but because I had no proof, I had to be quiet but now her daughter has confirmed she did, I want to deal with her because am so angry seeing my baby in so much pain.
Why pour hot water on a baby just because of bread? I hate her and I want to pour hot water on her too while she sleeps so she can feel the same pain she put my innocent baby.
Should I pour hot water on her too or what is the best way to deal with this witch? When they advise you young ladies to have good source of income before venturing into this marriage thing, you feel its bad advise. Your husband loses his job and next thing, your financial condition becomes so bad that you have to go back to your father's house in penury ...to the stage that your hungry child has to go eat from the crumbs that remain of your wicked step mother's bread, this making her unleash her dragon on the innocent baby. I'm sure if you and your husband were locked down in the same house, baby number 2 would be on the way.. You just have to eat all the insults and learn your lesson. Let's hope she doesn't poison your baby next. Women and marriage. No reasonable source of income...You don run enter man house, begin born. |

Some men even go as far as organising solo or gang rape on ladies who turned down their advances.

Having a no sex before marriage relationship has nothing to do with being a Christian.
Many Christians do not feel anything wrong with it ..some even justify it.
Its a matter of respect and value for one's body. Especially ladies. Once a man fvcks you,he begins to see you like a slvt. If a relationship without sex ends...Ladies can walk away with shoulders high..They lost nothing. But men? They become the losers.
Men know that everything about a woman's pride lies in between her legs. that's why they will do anything to smash in there.
Women who have pride and value themselves do not engage in premarital sex. If he so loves you,let him marry you. |

mharyamikeola92: Pls help me move this to front page.
I am a working class lady and I hardly demand things from whosoever I love.
There is this guy that I ave been dating for years now. I don’t know what to call his behavior, whether it is stinginess or the other way round.
I noticed that whenever he comes visiting, he doesn’t bring anything and I get to cook and takecare of him. I was forced to talk 1 day.
The last time he came visiting, he brought bread and other stuffs along which he ended up eating all by himself. I decided not to cook or do anything but I couldn't take it so we went out to buy stuffs. I needed to use POS and I forgot my phone at home. So I begged him to transfer 5k to the lady and that I was going to transfer back to him when we get home. We ended up using the money to get chicken, pepper and other stuffs.
On getting home I demanded for his account details in order to transfer the money back and to my surprise, he gave me and I transferred the money.
My major concern is that this guy has never given me common N10 and he is working. I don’t know if he's worth settling down with cos I fear for my future. Will he be able to give if he has more? This is the guy that is already telling me to come meet his mum cos she wants to see me.
Pls no insults, just advice. As long as sex is not involved. The relationship is okay. But if you are sleeping with him..then,its a pity. |
