I was at a State hospital (the biggest hospital in that state) recently and was shocked when the most senior doctor there told me there were only 3 doctors left in the entire hospital.

There used to be more than 20. Most have left the country.

This hospital treats several hundred people a day, and that excludes all those on admission.

The 3 doctors work about 16 hours a day, and are usually rushing back from home when there is an emergency. No rest for them.

We have to respect doctors.

Most of the policy proposals of the presidential candidates are too generic. We need practical steps and I guess that's what Rinu is demanding.

For example any candidate proposing state police should give details of the
- Model to be adopted that will overcome all issues raised by NASS in the past
- Mode of operation,
- Relationship with Nigerian Police,
- etc
If the candidate doesn't have this outline of practical steps written somewhere with timelines where possible, then it will be business as usual if elected.

I am a qualified Legal practitioner of 10 years post call experience in one of the western state from a Federal University. I also have an ACCA Certificate in International Financial Reporting. I was doing fairly well in my craft/ private legal practice. until sometime around 2020 that I had a medical condition that almost claimed or altered my life but for providence. I was grounded in the Teaching Hospital for 3 months, during that time I went through so many things , even an elaborate surgical procedure that lasted for about 5 hours.

Long after the successful completion of my hospital stay and I'm still here trying to pick and string up the broken and disjointed pieces of my life together. It is taking long because I couldn't even get an office and furnish it with little but necessary details. Considering where I am coming from ,without any proper support system, I am back trying to better my lot in a state that's not so financially viable.

I am very sure there are successful lawyers on this forum in bigger cities and I hope someone somewhere will connect with my plight and bring me on board, give me a leverage or support me with the wherewithal I am lacking in rebuilding my career interests. I could also veer into other spheres of Law, particularly finance and other niche.

I would also be willing to undergo a mentoring process with anyone who will patiently see to my growth and career well-being. I'm overwhelmed, slowly sliding into depression and my present condition is far less than desirable. I am going to provide proof on request. My condition and position is 100% genuine.
