Give a dog a bad name, and then hang it Buhari has been itching to deal with Igbos. He's never hidden it. The emergence of "Unknown Gun Men" is a creation of the FG to that effect. Now he has made a reason for the military to invade the SE. |

Osagyefo98: I had to agree.
Nnamdi has turned SE particularly Imo state to another Borno state.
Maybe he thinks he is doing buhari but he is grounding economic strength of the zone and sending investors away.
The idiot himself have no single investment even in his father's compound in Abia state.
By the time he is done, business will be on low scale in the zone.
He is a disaster calling himself messiah. Until you unravel the mystery behind the so called "unknown gunmen", you shouldn't ascribe the blame to anyone yet. IPOB had existed for some years. ESN arose to defend from Fulani killers. Everyone knows this, and you yourself cannot fault this. UGM suddenly emerged and began killing policemen, as well as destroying police stations and other FG structures in the SE. Check the identity of the policemen killed so far: mostly Igbos So, if you are sure that Igbo men masquerading as UGM killed mostly Policemen of same ethnicity, then you can make your claim. It is beginning to emerge that FG is behind UGM. FG needed to create unrest in SE to be able to advance it's cause. Keep your eyes on the end game. The misnomer UGM was coined by pro government agencies in the news and popular media. Same way FG has tried to defuse the identity of Boko Haram by coming up with names such as "bandits" and "hoodlums" Why is govt comfortable with mere fishing out nomenclatures and expect all of us to live with it? Is that what FG's job has reduced to? You think the pro Fulani, pro North FG is happy whenever the SE is touted as the safest region in the country? |

budaatum: Really? I got a guy here telling us Palestinians are not oppressed and black Americans are not oppressed and I bet if we asked him he'd say Igbos are not oppressed neither and you have to move on.
Care to help him with his floundering argument because he seems to be needing it. What oppression? The few cases I'm aware of (including my village in Imo State) the Osu among us don't get disrespected in anyway. They own their lands, they own businesses, they build houses, they partake of every social events in my community that they care to. Only place the line is drawn is having them married to those who are deemed as non osu. Moreover, in the event a marriage is contracted without the community becoming aware at the onset and tried to stop it, the marriage stays. Except the couples themselves decided to part ways due to pressure, the community doesn't take steps to nullify the marriage. They only try to prevent it. When you say oppressed, you give the impression that they aren't allowed to farm, to use the community stream, to buy and sell at the markets, or to even have friends among the community. Many of them like to live outside their communities or states, where they become very successful. Some of the best looking houses in my community are owned by them, and another thing I noticed is that, they themselves are very selective of the people they marry (in terms of physical appearance) which ensures they produce beautiful children. Two years ago, my community hosted a beauty pageant and the winner was this devastatingly beautiful damsel wẹ later found out her parents were osu. Honestly, we don't regard it with much seriousness in my community. We've learnt from so called freeborns who married osu and their lives have been bliss. |

If you hate him that much, and you are Yoruba's first son, as your moniker claims, then why rename someone you detest to sound like he's from your ethnicity?I know this question may be beyond your intellect, but surprise me for once. Show that you've got something upstairs. Here's another nugget for you: Igbos won't disrespect Sunday Igboho the way you guys bellyache over Nnamdi Kanu. Tinkerberry: In my opinion allow it pass this once, but there should be an announcement next time forbidding students from such since they'll resume school almost immediately after such celebrations. But the patterns fine o An announcement isn't enough. Schools have their rules, which are printed, and copies issued to students upon registration. If the school forbids such things, then it must be published in their rule book. This would then serve as a basis for enforcement, and not an arbitrary thing. When a legally inclined parent or guardian gets involved, then the school will begin to cry of persecution. If it isn't in the rule book and my kid gets punished for it, I'm gonna go ballistic. If school nor get sense, then it shouldn't try to teach my kid sense. |

What punishment would you suggest for this, or should it pass? Punishment? Don't dare. Jakumo: Brotherman you need to buy a rickety Landrover for your trips to the building site, while also dressing like a laborer during those journeys.
Leave the flashy car in the city, where it will come in useful as a homing device for beautiful university women.
Your expensive iPhone or similar clone must also be kept at home, ESPECIALLY if it contains banking information. Take a cheap 4-thousand naira Nokia dumb-phone to the bush, and make damn sure that it contains NOTHING that can be interpreted as banking information.
Lastly, if you can afford a nice car, you can definitely afford to acquire a 12-round pump-action shotgun to carry along on those trips to remote areas.
Even if you don't intend to fragment any craniums with that gun, a few rapid-fire warning shots can go a long way to ensuring disgruntled elements keep their distance if the need ever arises.
Finally, if you really want to go high tech in monitoring your surroundings, buy a Phantom3 Standard drone for $300 USD online, and learn to program it to fly pre-defined missions, before returning to your building site for landing. Autoflight missions can be programmed using the LITCHI Mission Hub, a FREE download, along with the Litch app that does need a smart device. This drone will fly six miles roundtrip, and can monitor the surroundings with superb video footage you can study on your laptop before hitting the road. Useful tips for perilous times |

Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu’s Latest Speech Is The Last Straw - I Quit by whirlwind7(m): 12:24pm On May 17, 2021 |
SEasternVictory: Many of us have been flirting with Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB for a while now. There is so much injustice and poverty in Igbo land that all solutions are considered in trying to resolve the plight of the people. Massob and other groups that came before IPOB with peace and protest were killed en masse by blood thirsty illiterate and poorly trained soldiers . So when IPOB came with a more belligerent approach to resolving matters, many of us embraced their strategy and began to support some of their policies.
However, Nnamdi Kanu’s broadcasts are filled with unbridled rage, myth, hate and viciousness which becloud the message that he is trying to deliver. While he is indeed admired for this courage in addressing the pertinent issues that affect the South East, and standing up to power without remorse or favour, his constant abuse of Africans , Nigerians and blacks generally is seriously detrimental to any international support or sympathy he may have gained or could gain if he had taken a more constructive approach. Furthermore , calling blacks dumb, monkeys , fools etc is surely not the method a rational, sane and educated person should use to disseminate information to the people he claims to love.
The last straw for me was his speech this evening which appeared to be a call for suicide bombers and suicide missions. This is anathema to Igbo culture and Igbo religion, we don’t encourage suicide. His speech was nothing short of a call for death en masse and by intent, on the basis of myth and delusions. Asking Igbos to accept that there will be huge loss of life without a credible solution and well equipped armoury is irresponsible and shameful.
Nnamdi Kanu has also exposed increasing levels of illiteracy amongst the youth due to rapidly falling academic standards, a decrepit education system and social media addiction; this makes them vulnerable to any wind of doctrine that flows from the mouth of Nnamdi Kanu. Exploiting the youth to achieve your aims with no respect for the value of their life is cruelty.
In addition, the random murder of security forces and call for 2000 heads to bury Ikonso is not what an educated rational leader would ever say , it’s barbaric , diabolical, and creates the impression that all Igbos are savages baying for bloodshed.
I cannot in good conscience allow Nnamdi Kanu lead Igbo youth on a suicide mission; I can no longer in good conscience cheer at the death of security forces and the destruction of property and innocent life.
We want Biafra , we can get it , but it will take time, resources, planning , subtlety , strategy, negotiation and partnerships. Right now we need to protect what we have and move in a more logical and informed direction.
Thank You. Wow! I haven't listened to his speech. He actually said those words?? I have never truly supported Nnamdi Kanu. While I acknowledge the part he has played to raise more awareness among the general Igbo population, most of his bizzarre ideas and postulation are asinine. So he's calling for suicide missions now? SMH Well, he's permitted to strap on a suicide vest and lead the first strike. |

The misconception is that all Yorubas voted against Jonathan but in reality, a very good number voted for Jonathan though he received over 80% of Yoruba votes in 2011......so long for the cries of Yorubas Hatred towards Jonathan. But I noticed many anti-Buhari Yorubas are now ready to work with the new administration. Same goes for the Ijaws, Jonathan's clan who were expected to raise hell and hatred after his loss but SURPRISINGLY, are ready for the sake of the country's betterment. Even their militants are preaching about working towards a peaceful and progressive Nigeria. The other day in Bayelsa (Jonathan's home state)a large number defected to the APC. But the Igbos are the last bastion of stubborn resistance, crying more than the mourners. The have as usual been audible with comments that will derail ANY progress of this administration. Do they find it difficult to bury the hatchet and hatred can they be forgiving for the betterment of all ? though they have been the only group to severally visit Buhari with demands? Will these tough stance leave them behind other tribes that have moved on ?it remains to be seen. It has been almost 7 years since you created this topic. With the benefit of time, and with what Nigeria has passed through so far, can you come back here, oh wise one, and tell us how the journey has been?
