sleekch1c: There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. The two biggest are lemons’ strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use as a weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contain many substances–notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin, and limonene–that promote immunity and fight infection.
HOW TO DO IT: You should be using purified water and it should be lukewarm not scalding hot. You want to avoid ice cold water, since that can be a lot for your body to process and it takes more energy to process ice cold water than the warm. Always use fresh lemons, organic if possible, never bottled lemon juice. I squeeze 1/2 a lemon with each glass and I drink it down first thing before I eat a single thing, or workout, etc.
10 Benefits to Drinking Warm Lemon Water Every Morning
1) Aids Digestion. Lemon juice flushes out unwanted materials and toxins from the body. It’s atomic composition is similar to saliva and the hydrochloric acid of digestive juices. It encourages the liver to produce bile which is an acid that is required for digestion. Lemons are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract. The digestive qualities of lemon juice help to relieve symptoms of indigestion, such as heartburn, belching and bloating. The American Cancer Society actually recommends offering warm lemon water to cancer sufferers to help stimulate bowel movements.
2) Cleanses Your System / is a Diuretic. Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials in part because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body. Therefore toxins are released at a faster rate which helps keep your urinary tract healthy. The citric acid in lemons helps maximize enzyme function, which stimulates the liver and aids in detoxification.
3) Boosts Your Immune System. Lemons are high in vitamin C, which is great for fighting colds. They’re high in potassium, which stimulates brain and nerve function. Potassium also helps control blood pressure. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) found in lemons demonstrates anti-inflammatory effects, and is used as complementary support for asthma and other respiratory symptoms plus it enhances iron absorption in the body; iron plays an important role in immune function. Lemons also contain saponins, which show antimicrobial properties that may help keep cold and flu at bay. Lemons also reduce the amount of phlegm produced by the body.
4) Balances pH Levels. Lemons are one of the most alkalizing foods for the body. Sure, they are acidic on their own, but inside our bodies they’re alkaline (the citric acid does not create acidity in the body once metabolized). Lemons contain both citric and ascorbic acid, weak acids easily metabolized from the body allowing the mineral content of lemons to help alkalize the blood. Disease states only occur when the body pH is acidic. Drinking lemon water regularly can help to remove overall acidity in the body, including uric acid in the joints, which is one of the primary causes of pain and inflammation.
5) Clears Skin. The vitamin C component as well as other antioxidants helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes and it helps to combat free radical damage. Vitamin C is vital for healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause acne. It can actually be applied directly to scars or age spots to help reduce their appearance. Since lemon water purges toxins from your blood, it would also be helping to keep your skin clear of blemishes from the inside out. The vitamin C contained in the lemon rejuvenates the skin from within your body.
6) Energizes You and Enhances Your Mood. The energy a human receives from food comes from the atoms and molecules in your food. A reaction occurs when the positive charged ions from food enter the digestive tract and interact with the negative charged enzymes. Lemon is one of the few foods that contain more negative charged ions, providing your body with more energy when it enters the digestive tract. The scent of lemon also has mood enhancing and energizing properties. The smell of lemon juice can brighten your mood and help clear your mind. Lemon can also help reduce anxiety and depression.
7) Promotes Healing. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), found in abundance in lemons, promotes wound healing, and is an essential nutrient in the maintenance of healthy bones, connective tissue, and cartilage. As noted previously, vitamin C also displays anti-inflammatory properties. Combined, vitamin C is an essential nutrient in the maintenance of good health and recovery from stress and injury.
Freshens Breath. Besides fresher breath, lemons have been known to help relieve tooth pain and gingivitis. Be aware that citric acid can erode tooth enamel, so you should be mindful of this. No not brush your teeth just after drinking your lemon water. It is best to brush your teeth first, then drink your lemon water, or wait a significant amount of time after to brush your teeth. Additionally, you can rinse your mouth with purified water after you finish your lemon water.
9) Hydrates Your Lymph System. Warm water and lemon juice supports the immune system by hydrating and replacing fluids lost by your body. When your body is deprived of water, you can definitely feel the side effects, which include: feeling tired, sluggish, decreased immune function, constipation, lack of energy, low/high blood pressure, lack of sleep, lack of mental clarity and feeling stressed, just to name a few.
10) Aids in Weight Loss. Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. Studies have shown people who maintain a more alkaline diet, do in fact lose weight faster. I personally find myself making better choices throughout the day, if I start my day off right, by making a health conscious choice to drink warm lemon water first thing every morning.

Dentalgist: Dentists refer to a knocked-out tooth as an “avulsed” tooth. This is one of the most serious dental emergencies for permanent teeth. However, the damage can be fixed. If you act quickly, there’s a good chance the tooth can be saved.
What You Can Do
When a tooth has been knocked out, the nerves, blood vessels and supporting tissues are damaged, too. The nerves and blood vessels can’t be repaired. That is why all avulsed teeth will need a root canal. However, the bone can reattach to the root of the tooth once it’s put back into place.
The odds of saving a tooth are highest in young children, but adult teeth can be saved as well. Only permanent teeth should be re-implanted.
It is important to get to the dentist as quickly as possible after a tooth has been knocked out. It is also important to avoid damaging the tooth even more.
Do the following things to save a knocked-out tooth/teeth:
1. Handle the tooth carefully. Try not to touch the root (the part of the tooth that was under the gum). It can be damaged easily.
2. If the tooth is dirty, hold it by the upper part (the crown) and rinse it with milk. If you don’t have any milk, rinse it with water. Don’t wipe it off with a washcloth, shirt or other fabric. This could damage the tooth.
3. Keep the tooth moist. Drop it into a glass of milk. If you can’t do this, place the tooth in your mouth, between the cheek and gum. A young child may not be able to safely “store” the tooth in his or her mouth without swallowing it. Instead, have the child spit into a cup. Place the tooth in the cup with the saliva. If nothing else is available, place the tooth in a cup of water. The most important thing is to keep the tooth moist.
4. Try slipping the tooth back into its socket. In many cases, it will slip right in. Make sure it’s facing the right way. Don’t try to force it into the socket. If it doesn’t go back into place easily and without pressure, then just keep it moist (in milk, saliva or water) and get to the dentist as soon as you can.
If the tooth is intact (not broken in pieces), it is always a good idea to try to save it.
What Your Dentist Will Do
Putting the tooth back in place sometimes can be simple. Other times it can be complicated, such as when the tooth or bone is broken. Your dentist will use water to flush debris from the socket. Then he or she will slip the tooth back into place. It is most important to re-implant the tooth as soon as possible. Ideally, this should occur within the hour of the accident.
The dentist may perform a root canal right away, or may wait. The best course to take will depend upon how long the tooth was out of the mouth and other factors. In any case, the dentist will splint the avulsed tooth to the teeth on either side with a soft wire and/or composite material. This will be used to hold the tooth in place for several days. Your dentist will decide how long the splint should remain.
If the bone around the tooth was not fractured, the root usually will reattach firmly to the bone in about three to four weeks. More damage to the area may require six to eight weeks of repair time.
Your dentist should examine the tooth again in three to six months.

Yeah a no B.S. post from a dude back in 2007 when I was still using my first NL moniker.
GirlsDoItBetter: Excuse me? You don't know me. You are not living up to your username. You have a sour vibe. I wouldn't leave my partner if he was down in his luck. I know people can go through hard times sometimes.
Sorry what is eye service?
@GirlsDoItBetter How has your day been? Sipping "Pina colada" on a lovely weekend?
...You don't know what the parlance "eye service" means?
Let me school you!
Okay it refers to when you get your eyes checked at the "eye mechanic's service garage."
When you tell anybody of Nigerian descent what I just told you above, you'll surely get a "standing ovation" that would be heard by millions of people from Lagos to London!
Ciao!
P.S. Just pulling your legs dear. "Eye service" is a Nigerian urban lingo that means "to patronise someone." A sort of "boot-licking."
The dude that said that to you should be "ignored" henceforth until he learns to be less rude, and not overdo things with words by trolling.
StacyO: I like the way you handle words. Quite simple and understandable.
However, I'm not in possession of any other moniker.
Which did you come across, that made you conclude my having another?
You do? Okay I know. It takes an intelligent gurl like you to decode and understand words.
Shhh! It's gonna remain a top secret for now until a little later. I don't want to post the other moniker on here. As for that other moniker, it also starts with "StacyO..." Then she later pulled her photogenic profile pic down.
By the way, are you multilingual? What languages do you speak?
+1... simply means that a person is in agreement with you.
So, I'm in agreement with the choice you've made since you are not feeling him on the gut level. If you go ahead to marry him, you would on a primal level cheat on him with another man who you are attracted to (or lust after).
You are still in your very early 20s, fair-skinned, and you seem intelligent and jovial from your posts. So there's a little more time to DISCOVER your true needs, and desires on a romantic and non-romantic basis.
Last but not least... Do you have another moniker on this forum? That moniker, and this one you're using right now gives me a "deja vu."
LeoThaGreat: I was wandering through the internet for business reasons when I came across an article about the Arogbo Izon People, an Ijaw (Izon) sub-ethnic group [and their businesses with Ìjèbú & Ilaje Yòrùbás]. The part that caught my attention, which also is the reason for this topic is where it was stated that: "During the time of the expansion of the Benin kingdom (1550), the Benin invaded Ukoruama (Lagos). The Arogbo Izon sent soldiers to defend the Ijo living in that region. Their army camp became known as Idumu-Arogbo later shortened to Idumagbo (Lagosians should be familiar with Idumagbo Avenue."
Kindly note that in the earlier Portuguese maps of Yorubaland, the part now known as Lagos Island (or Èkó by Lagosians) is termed Kuramo. , from which Kuramo Beach (if it's still named as such) derived it's name.
I'm trying to formulate factual history in my head, not distorted ones. Ijaw people in the house, what does "Ukoruama" mean?
I've noticed over the last 21years that a lot of those ethnic websites and Wikipedia entries are riddled with fake ethnic history that never existed.
I'm in my 40s and since the advent of the Internet for public use in 1995, I've seen a lot of word-of-mouth lies, or false history on Ijaw, Edo and Ibo blogs/websites.
This is how one mentally deranged fool wrote an embarassingly false article online which was posted on NL as well about 10 years ago claiming that Egbas or Ibos first settled in Abeokuta and that it was founded by them.
The Egba people who originally founded Abeokuta are a well-known branch of the Oyo people who originally lived in Ibadan area before migrating to establish Abeokuta in the early 1800s under Chief Sodeke because of the eruption of war.
Another Ibo historian and a cultural group from Aguleri (Aguleri has Igala mixed bloodlines. Igala language is Yoruboid just like Itsekiri), falsely claimed that Ijebu Igbo, Igbo Ora, Oke Igbo, Iponri in Lagos were founded by Ibos from the East.
This degenerate information in Vanguard online is highly incorrect! Ijebu Igbo was founded by Ijebu-Yoruba migrants from Ijebu Ode.
Igbo or Ugbo in Yoruba means forest or bush. It also means Indian hemp!
Idumagbo is not an Ijaw word, but a fusion of Bini and Yoruba words. Idumota is another word of Yoruba and Bini fusion.
The royalty of Lagos island is of Awori-Yoruba and Bini cultural heritage. Asipa was an Awori of noble heritage from Iseri but his wife was a Bini woman who he came back to Eko with. This is the reason why the heads of past Elekos were buried in Eko (the paternal side in Yorubaland) and the bodies were buried in the maternal side or Benin). Ado was the name of the child born to Asipa and his Bini wife. Ado later became the king of Lagos island but the original land owners are an Awori-Yoruba noble man named Olofin and his descendants who settled on Iddo island and Eko island. This is the reason why the "white cap chiefs" exist on Lagos island.
Past Obas of Benin (after every 3 Obas) had their heads also buried at "Orun Oba Ado" grove in Ile-Ife which is the paternal lineage of the Oranmiyan/Eweka dynasty in Benin, while the bodies without the heads were buried in the maternal lineage in Benin.
LeoThaGreat: I was browsing through a Ghanaian website when I saw this article that interests me. It was about a confused lady asking for what to do because her boyfriend gave her a prenuptial agreement (terms & conditions for marriage) to sign before he can proceed to legalise their relationship. This reminded me of Kim Kardashian & Kanye West and other Western couples that sign prenups before getting wed. The prenup covers what to do during the marriage and what happens in case of a divorce. This lady's story was long so I decided to cut out the agreement part to paste them here.
My questions are: 1. If you were a guy, will you propose such a prenuptial agreement to serve as a guideline (and safe house) before getting wed?
2. If you were a lady, will you agree to (or negotiate some clauses in) such a prenuptial agreement, or you'll throw it all away?
Word!
As a man with a deep knowledge of financial education and several investment variables, I'm in full support of a prenuptial agreement for any business-savvy man (or woman). Pre nups are part of financial planning.
"It is an agreement made by a couple before they get married in which they say how their money and property is to be divided if they get divorced."
This will protect a lot of us men who are financialy wealthy from those females that behave like the small but deadly South American "Piranha fish."
It is just like hedging your assets againt loses with insurance policies.
Any woman who doesn't agree to these terms after gentle persuation should be ditched by any man.
Yomi4reel: A Nigerian man living abroad is currently homeless and has to sleep in the streets in freezing weather after he was thrown out by his white lover for not cooking.
The homeless Nigerian man was found sleeping on a bench in a dirty area of the city by another Nigerian man who recorded the incident.
The homeless man explained that he’s been with the white woman for 5 months and satisfies her in every way.
However, on that fateful day, he was too tired to cook.
When she returned from work and asked why he had not cooked, he explained that he was tired and would do it later.
But she threw him and his belongings out of her house, causing him to sleep in the streets in freezing weather.
He said he has no where to go and has been suffering since he’s been with the woman, but said he had to endure because of papers.
TheSeeker: That's from your experience, but does that mean it won't work for others? You haven't witness people meeting and getting married off dating and social networking sites? That's something with us, Africans. We fail and have limited our horizon to a particular decomposing spot. This is 21st century. Everything around is changing, evolving into something better, more acceptable, adventurous and fun but Africans, as usual, have taken exception to it --- especially anything that works in the western world.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it works for everybody. I do believe however, that if you meet a liar it doesn't really have to be on the internet before he starts to show off who he really is. Even right under your nose, he can and will lie to you. Ok, how about this? You have a boyfriend whom you just have been with for a week or so -- he travels abroad a week -- are you saying you'd think he won't be worthy to be in a relationship with you? What difference does that make from someone you meet off the internet?
I've seen lots of couples who met off the internet, some got married; others are in the process. But tell an African man about internet dating, it's "not for me" "it's weird" "I can't date who I can't see, feel or touch" kinda statements will be thrown. All I'm just trying to say is, there's nothing wrong with it, it's almost-if not the same - as dating someone in person; only difference being that you can't feel or touch.
But I respect your opinion that you wouldn't do it --- it's a matter of choice, really. ~Shakes head~

As for being "Jovial" in real life, that is debatable. I know full well from reading some of your posts that you can be "too brutally honest" and bullish with "swear words." Is this how you "vibe" with your hubby or are you still as "single-as-a-whistle?"
By the way, your English diction seems fantastic to me from just reading some of your posts since 2020 with my older NL username. Did you study English or Linguistics in the uni or some place?
I like your use of proper grammer, idiolects, punctuations, etc, in your posts. It shows you pay attention to details in that aspect.
GirlsDoItBetter: Correct, they still own a lot of the land too. Do people not get taught this in school?
@GirlsDoItBetter
On the contrary, they do NOT have a lot of land. As a history enthusiast, I grew up (from when I was four) voraciously reading a lot of encyclopedias in my family home library many decades back (before the advent of the Internet), and have a vast knowledge of Native American history before and after white immigration.
As of 1794, almost the entire USA (with the exception of smaller pockets of lands on the East Coast) was in Native American hands.
Then with the support of the Federal and state entities... White immigrants began to expand into local Native American lands in the present-day USA and Canada. They were forcibly removed from their vast fertile lands forever and made to embark on long treks to their new, largely dry and less fertile abodes... men, women, children dying from exhaustion, disease, and hunger on the way to the smaller, hot and dry "Reservations!"
Today the Native American lands are very small with a lot of people struggling economically. Although there are success stories among the natives.
America was built on a lot of injustice towards the Native subgroups - the Navajo Nation, Apaches, Sioux, Cherokees, etc. I salute the memories of some of my favourite Native American warrior chiefs from the 1800s, such as Sitting Bull, Standing Bull, Geronimo, etc, who fought bravely to defend their lands in the so-called "Indian Wars" against white domination and eventual push into the dry lands and Reservations of North/South Dakota, Iowa... and nearby States in Central and North-Western USA.
joelbooks: The United States has a lot to be proud of: it is the most powerful country on Earth and a global leader in culture and innovation as well as international affairs, and has a well-earned reputation for freedom and democracy. But, like any country, it has its flaws, as well. And those flaws are important to remember and examine — even if many Americans would probably rather not think about them.
This map begins by showing Native Americans' land in 1794, demarcated by tribe and marked in green. In 1795, the US and Spain signed the Treaty of San Lorenzo, carving up much of the continent between them. What followed was a century of catastrophes for Native Americans as their land was taken piece by piece. By the time the US passed the Dawes Act in 1887, effectively abolishing tribal self-governance and forcing assimilation, there was very little left.
European settlers who arrived in North America found it filled with diverse, long-established societies. They may well have become sovereign nation-states had the settlers, and later the United States, not sought to purge them from their lands, deny them self-rule, and, once they had been reduced to a tiny minority, forcibly assimilate them and their land. These acts are the foundation upon which the United States as we know it today was built.
The USA was ironically built on injustice. The white settlers with Federal and state support proceeded to stripe Native Americans of their fertile lands and forcibly moved them into Reservations.
Never trust nobody... We live in a warring planet!
Jakumo: When a woman has borne a child, her breasts droop and flatten, while her belly gets loose and flabby, which all adds up to be one major turn-off for many males. That is why married men are most likely to stray from their wives the instant pregnancy enters into the equation.
In short, wives are for breeding and child rearing, while nubile young women are for hot sex and fun times. Rich men, as a rule, hastily upgrade to tender young single women with pert jiggly breasts and toned midriffs, the instant their wives grow fat from bearing babies. Blame nature if you will, but the male human being is hard-wired to seek out fit young women that have NEVER been pregnant. Once that woman's belly grows large with a baby inside, the sex drive of her husband DIES.
Expect our man Ned Nwankwo, of the Young Puszy fame, to hurriedly dump his child-bride of last year, since she has borne a bouncing baby for him, thereby becoming a housewife with zero appeal to the billionaire. Time to move on.
lexdino: Rule 1 You won't catch any feelings for him if you invest nothing besides sex in the relationship.
This means you must always remain jobless and broke as a bad girl. All expenses must be paid by whoever the simp that was fortunate enough to be chosen as your boyfriend. Remember, "the one who invests the least holds the most power". Don't fret about it bad girl, it is very easy to get a simp to fall in love and empty his bank account on you: simply give him sex sparingly while bombarding his ears with sweet names such as baby, love of my life, one and only, my ride or die, boo boo, I can't live without you, and so on. Neverminding the fact that you gonna dump him in not more than 6 months like you did with all your previous 13 exes. Within a few days the simp won't be able to sleep if you do even a little thing such as refusing to pick his call.
Rule 2 The more you get him to spend on you, the more in love with you he becomes. This means he becomes loyal and you find it getting easier to control him the more you're able to bill him successfully.
This means you must keep making demands upon demands from him until you're sure you've dried up his bank account. Are you asking me how to pull this off on your simp of a boyfriend? Bad girl, I can't believe you're still this dumb after reading Rule 1 above. Sex is your bargaining chip as a bad girl! Use it to reward him sparingly when he complies, withold it from him whenever he refuses any of your endless demands, while also shaming him and reminding him of how you can replace him with ease if he doesn't comply. This also means that you must never allow him sex you for free! I repeat, never!!! Even if you're ho*ny and you must have sex on that very day, just reach out to any of your multiple f*ck buddies that pays you real big cash whenever you offer them sex. Your multiple sexual escapades won't hurt your boyfriend if he never gets to know. You are getting the drift, right? Now you're a real bad girl. Cheers. Remember that besides sex, you have nothing else to contribute to the life of your significant other therefore, why wait till he comes to his senses and realize this fact? when you can simply go on the offense and strike him why the iron is still hot, before moving on to your next victim.
Rule 3 Always move on whenever a bigger spender arrives.
This means you must always be on the lookout for your next victims, regardless of how much time and resources your current boyfriend is investing in you. Of course I understand you're getting close to 30 now and all your friends are getting married while you're not even sure if your womb is still intact after the severe bleeding you experienced in your 57th abortion, which you did two years ago. Your menstrual pains have increased since that occurrence and you also noticed that you haven't missed your period ever since despite the fact that you've done it raw with not less than 20 new guys since that time. Who cares if you can't get pregnant anyway? Soon the latest iPhone will be released and you must maintain your reputation as being among the first to buy it. Or do you want to lose your reputation of being called "miss expensive"? Forget that depression and feeling of worthlessness that you feel deep down, knowing fully well that your life has been all about riding on the back of men and causing emotional pains to anyone who's ever gotten too close to you. Who cares? You have to keep doing whatever makes you happy, girl. That's how to be a bad girl. At anytime you become too jealous of your married friends, either you steal their husband's or you pretend to be an active feminist on Nairaland, Twitter and the other social media platforms. It is a win-win for you bad girl. Of course if you've been following rule 1 and rule 2 consistently, the simp of a man that is currently in your hook must have bought you the latest iPhone which you're using to snap and uploading celebrity-grade photos to your social media pages, your wardrobe is filled with all the latest designer wears now and you're using the most expensive perfumes thanks to being a bad girl. Hundreds of other rich simpleton are chasing and begging for you to come spend their money and ruin their lives in the name of love; an art that you've mastered how to pull off with ease.
You have all the time, girl. Why must you allow loyalty make you stick to one man?
... Sarcasm at it's finest. The perfect guide for wussy men!
I mean it's nice for the lady, but too big for me.
Okay then @GirlsDoItBetter...
It's not a weblink that I'm trying to find for you in my archives, but an actual publication which I still saw as of last year, and it would blow your mind. You'll not need any reduction surgery, but naturally get it done!
I'll have to send the large-size info images to you via email attachments. So send me your email address by first following my profile then click on the "send email" link on my profile.
Max on Monday next week, I would have found the publication and mailed you back.
NOTE: I read sometime back that "reduction surgery" can make breastfeeding no longer possible. So it is best to always get a second or third opinion before embarking on a plan to do a surgery or use alternatives to surgery!
In addition...
Get a good "sports bra(s)" for your breast size (larger-breasted women) in the interim to reduce the breast strain/pain since you live in the UK... The "Moving Comfort" is a global brand of sports bras that makes an eclectic mix of all sizes.
Second, what's your average body weight/height?
At what age did you first notice the back pains?
Weight indeed has an effect on breast size.
Third, resistance exercises such as push-ups, dumb-bells, etc, can gradually reduce breast size/pain.
Last but not least, is this your first time on this discussion forum or website?
Bola146: We parted ways because of genotype. I really missed his good communication and companionship despite the long distance. God bless you wherever you are. I wish to meet someone better than you soonest.
Martinez39: Not into you ko, not deep inside you ni. Don't kid yourself jare. I know you are like the woman in the op who feels like the best thing to happen since slice bread. Once a man has standards and you, as a woman, isn't worth the effort, you are immediately discarded and moving on, for him, won't be hard at all. A real man has standards and he knows that no woman is the best thing to happen since slice bread. He knows that as far as relationship is concerned, no woman is special, irreplaceable, or indispensable. He knows every girl is just another human being and can be replaced hence no need for putting any on a pedestal.
Wiregist: Sometimes, saying ‘I love you’ can be a daunting task. Those three little words that could have him freaked out and running for the hills. Or, you’ve been in a relationship for so long, you sometimes forget all of the other ways to remind your partner that you love them.
So, what do you do?
Here are five subtle ways to get your point across without actually saying a word.
1. Attentiveness
Let your partner know he is a priority, that he is important to you and when he is talking, give him your undivided attention. No checking your cell phone or texting. Don’t scroll through Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Be present, be in the moment, and be focused. Being attentive lets your partner know they are of value to you and important in your life.
2. Affection
Showing affection can deepen your level of intimacy, create a bond, and reassure your partner you care. Something as simple as running your hand along the length of your partners’ back as you walk by or playful touching them while you are out in public goes a long way. Thoughtful caresses when he is deep in conversation with you or a gentle touch on his thigh while you are having dinner. Physical touch is powerful, when you end your evening together the kiss goodnight is expected but don’t forget the importance of a lengthy hug.

3. Thoughtfulness
Thoughtfulness is simply showing consideration for someone other than yourself.
Little things matter. Be attentive to your partners’ needs, anticipate them. Nothing says, “love you” more than showing kindness and consideration before it is asked. Predicting the needs of your partner shows them that you care and you matter to me.
4. Be spontaneous
Cards and written notes are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Take time to jot down a heartfelt sentiment and leave it somewhere for your partner to find. A handwritten note, which simply says, “I’m thinking of you and have a great day,” can go a long way in making that certain someone feel special.
5. Put them in your future
Let them know your relationship is strong, it has the potential to last and when you speak of the plans in your life, they are a part of them. Get rid of the term, I and begin using us, or we. This gives your significant other the assurance when you look towards the future they are a part of it.
Toks2008: In our early 20s we usually have all the time in the world to date and engage in romance with the opposite sex,we care less about their persona, background and intentions...often times we take for granted the very ones who sincerely desire us because at that point, commitment is the least of our worries.
Its also amazing to know that in most cases,we tend to fall in love deeply at that point in our lives when we never planned for it.
But as we grow older and we get into our 30s without any commited affair, we suddenly realize its no longer as easy as it was when we were far younger and we try to be very careful not to make mistakes and by so doing we make things even more difficult and complicated for ourselves....
Unfortunately at this stage, many subliminally develop gamophobia(fear of getting married) because there is no more time for long courtship and you don't want to marry who you don't really know, every person that looks attractive to us is a potential spouse...men see ladies at this stage as desperados. Most guys at this stage get confused and ladies at this stage become impatient and any affair running into a year or more makes them uncomfortable.
The pressure starts building from parents, friends, family members and even the social media dares not know you are single. Then we try to console ourselves with phrases such as.."Marriage is not a do or die thing, marriage is not for everyone" "it's better to remain single than rush into wrong marriage"....
The simple truth is that in most cases from a certain age, the more we advance in years, the more difficult it becomes to get married and the more careful we try to be,the more complicated it gets but only the singles at 30 upwards can understand this.
My advise to anyone in this situation is that once you see someone you feel any form of attraction to,drop your fears,do a quick due diligence on that person and if you are comfortable with your findings just take the risk and dare the consequence because no matter how long you wait and no matter how careful you may be,you can never be too sure of that person until you start living under the same roof as a couple and there is no good or bad choice of spouse but what we have is your choice and what you make out of it.
SoapQueen: Loooool. One guy here bashed and dragged me nonstop, it was spooky. Everyone kept saying "Girl, chill, he likes you". I kind of miss his wahala now, he deactivated.
