b3llo:Whenever World Bank, IMF and foreign investors (oil is what they mostly invest in and can take out huge profits quickly) applaud FG policy, Nigerian citizens should always prepare for hardship similar to IBB's SAP era. Their gain is always our pain and penury, |
NoahHadNoArk:The brainwash nor be here. Very sad. And many of their MoGs are top in different secret societies. But average darkie dey form more Christian than the pope. Oyinbo really mentally imprison most dudu people seriously. Pathetic, ![]() When black man will free himself like Japanese, Chinese, Indians, and others, I don't know. |
RedboneSmith:In Benin proper, you can still use Oko mwen! exclamtion to mean my guy! Even just a few decades back. Or when you want to express being puzzled to a guy, but can be colloquially used generally too. A few decades back, grandparents would still refer to God as Oghenosa, Osa, Okodudu, Osanobua, etc. Today, poorly informed people would argue that only Osa and Osanobua are Benin words. Some would even claim that Oghene is exclusively Urhobo or Isoko. People need to start realising how very limited their knowledge is. That is how to truly begin learning. |
The guy wants to kpai himself before his time. ![]() To manage one woman sef these days nor easy, Good luck to him. |
Reinaldo:My brother, the way high cholesterol, heart attack and diabetes go finish people nor go be here. Tomato in stew is one of the most consistent veg eaten by lots of people in 9ja. Remove it and see health wahala. Tatashe, onions and mushrooms are far better alternatives. I doubt if they are cheap though. |
Igboid:See this one o. I don't give a hoot whether you have the word Okoro in Igbo or not. And I will never care. I have no interest whatsoever in Igbo. Okoro is an ancient Benin word for prince. So shoo. I have no business with you or Igbo. |
fero007:Okoro is an ancient Benin name. Okoro was originally a gentleman but over time became used for Prince. Oba's male children are called Okoro. Benin Crown Prince is called Okoro n'Okhua. He's only called Edaiken upon maturity when he moves to Edaiken Palace at Uselu. I know at least 20 Benin families with surname Okoro. |
Reminderz:Envy and jealousy are like witchcraft. Nothing good you do for a jealous person will make him/her stop being envious. Even your kindness/generosity towards them will make them jealous. See, a typical jealous person likes to believe that they are the smartest, best and most successful. Another person's success or achievement, no matter how little, punches a big hole in their gigantic ego. Despite all their outwards pretence of superiority or success, they actually have inferiority complex. The only thing that makes them happy is to see others down so that they can feel like top dog. One example: a couple I was there for over many years achieved a milestone. I was there celebrating with them. In good and sad moments, I was there. When mine came, they both did their best not to come. Giving flimsy excuses. A few years earlier, I had supported the hubby to achieve a milestone (related to both as a couple). He then begged me not to allow our friends know that I showed him the way. So that it would appear he did it all by himself. I obliged him that and other things that were weird. But when he and his wife would not come to celebrate perhaps the most important milestone with me, I cut them loose. And not a second too soon. I rebuffed every attempt of theirs to reconnect. It's better to have even just two friends than scores of leeches and jealous entities. |
Goalnaldo:This one off me. |
slawomir:Why they are forcing SE to stay part of 9ja is beyond me. Why the can't organise a common referendum to allow them decide is what I don't get. It's not FG can cater for even 100m people, let alone 200m plus people, |
Righthussle: ![]() Na that be the koko. |
IbnB:True. Edo people have been in Lagos from the beginning. Including Oba of Lagos family, Obanikoro, Eletu Odibo and many more. |
DesChyko: ![]() The same people who fought GEJ in 2012 are now forming hero. Very funny people. They knew GEJ doesn't control Newspapers, so they used bigotry and propaganda against. The same people whose family owns oil importing company and subsidy scammers dey form hero after dem chop billions tire. 9ja never ready sha. Siddon look na dog name. |
TsbAfrica:Jor, make we hear wetin the Taliban/Afghan parents say too. |
Autobot05:The curse wey dat human being don gather since from Nairaland men reach to build prison for destiny 1m times stronger than Alcatraz. Even if the whole thing na just shakara. The imagination alone make you shiver. Very bad dream. ![]() That babe go be one very tame sweet chic in real life. |
McStoic:Ehen na. The lady don kpai somebody before. Possibly the biological father of the little girl. May be he demanded more access or wanted his daughter for good. If you nor fear run from woman, leg must be "paining" you or you are suicidal. |
Na woman wey get belle dey flirt. Some guys forming saint here fit dey do worse than the late hubby. If you x-ray the widow throughout their time married, her way too fit nor pure. Na today? If she like make she date a different man everyday, twice on Monday, na her choice. Who don die don die, No excuse or validation needed. |
Cowbell521:Job dem suppose give one old soldier. ![]() Fine babe though. No bleaching. Make dem support her legit hustle. |
IMASTEX:The dead lady already refunded the missing money before being criminally abducted and imprisoned by hotel owner. If there was evidence the dead lady wanted to steal 17.5k, in that case just report her to the police or sack her or both. Finish. Yes, at times some employees can be annoyingly fraudulent or reckless but we must all learn to avoid impunity. RIP to her. |
CapcuT111:nice |
Christistruth03:It all boils down to technicality and poorly formulated constitution by the military. Nigeria has such a huge diaspora today today that by now, restrictions or lack of on political positions for 9ja with other citizenship status should be made clear. It shouldn't matter who the president is or not to wade into such issues. The system and strong institutions should be very sure of their work and enlighten the public. That will benefit everyone. As you will recall both APC and PDP have taken each other to court over such matters before. Now it's LP v APC. Next time, it could be members of the party you support going to court over same matter yet again. |
Christistruth03:Bukola was born in London when Oloye was a medic there. Kemi was also born in London. There was automatic citizenship by birth in UK those days. Unless your parents were foreign diplomats. Both did not voluntarily apply for foreign citizenship, they were born with it. So the laws sees their case differently. Abacha also didn't apply for Chad citizenship. The law is a bit silly here because whether you were born with it or acquired it, you have allegiance to a foreign country and that country may use you as a spy. But the law is the law. Presidency/VP and governorship/DG are executive positions that come with immunity from the law. Unlike senators, house of rep, commissioners or ministers that make key decisions but have no immunity. So I guess the law seeks to guarantee a high level of allegiance to 9ja for those executive positions. |
davidnazee:Lol. If it suits their narrative then Equiano was correct but if it doesn't suite their revisionist ethno-nationalistic propaganda, they say he left too young to know exactly. ![]() Some world people nor dey even use sense spread lie. |
Inner19:People patronise those juju doctors even more now. Only that some former juju doctors have metamorphosed into prophet or alfa. Some still practice both together. One during daytime, the other at night. When economy is hard, people are suffering or make little headway in life, they put it down to enemies or village people. And that's the bread and butter of juju doctors. ![]() |
Adonispco:I hope you used your mobile phone to secretly record the compound/yard meeting. So that you have evidence of the conversation. If you didn't, use cunning way to call another compound meeting under the guise of trying to find peace and harmony so that they can all repeat the nonsense and you can record it. If you report to police without evidence, your neighbours and landlord can deny that such an accusation was ever made or heard. But after gathering recorded evidence, find another accommodation before you report to the police. People who go to juju doctor can equally do okpor and put on the ground or doorstep to harm you. Those are not people to share a compound with. |
azadus18:CDS nor get any clout na COAS dey call the shots. CDS only does what C-in-C allows him. C-in-C can bypass CDS and directly instruct COAS. During Buratai's time as COAS, CDS was useless. C-in-Cs are very happy to make minorities CDS because in democratic setting in 9ja CDS is just the senior military bureaucrat. |
Kingray10:Kikikikikiki ![]() The OP na clown o. He get luck say na anonymous forum. Like now some mob go dey search for tyre and matches with scarce fuel. To avenge conniving with the wife to poison his cousin. ![]() Most cultures have a protocol for keeping a widow in late husband's family, if the woman wishes to stay and there is a willing relative of the dead to marry her. In the past, this lady that has no no children would the much in demand by eligible male in-laws. In many cultures, the person inheriting the wife will have to be junior in age to the late hubby. But in modern times, I guess it has become rare. OP should ask his parents/family elders to guide him. |
TOPMAN4LIFE:Which govt? It's Hausa-Fulani/Muslim controlled govt/constitution that determines your history? ![]() Oh yes, It's Hausa that gave the name "Yari.ba" that became Yoruba. Thank God in my part of SW, we know our true links with Ife and Benin and have our unique name and dialect. Olugbo is making things clearer to many. They can use errand boy obas they selected (Oluwo said so) in your zone as they want. We don't want it, never have and never will. You guys have a completely different notion of what monarchy is. That's why some obas there embrace bling, party and celebrity life so enthusiastically. Because most never thought they will ever get there. I know some who are different though and still behave well. Benin is totally different. A Benin crown prince will have already travelled far and wide and met all the influential people. You cannot be giving what you took from Benin. Oba and Izoduwa all came from Benin. When it comes to twisting history, Lagos-Ibadan historians/Press are the champion. Nothing is sacred. They can twist anything including monarchy, history, ethics, anything to suite regional political agenda. Oba of my place in SW who insisted on the truth was deposed back then. He regained his throne but the politician who engineered his removal never achieved his life ambition till he died. ![]() Even today, any SW person who has a different opinion to current political agenda is called omale for having own mind and views. In a place where people claim tolerance and omoluabi ethos o. |
