sojisenai:Well, the best way to discourage coups is to end the hell people are in in most parts of Africa. Countries with military governments now stretch from West Coast to East Coast across the Sahel. |
metascribe: ![]() So you actually believe that person is interested in the truth? The brainwash against Jonathan and some other parts of 9ja will last a lifetime. Possibly passed to the next generation like it was passed to him. It's ethnic and intertribal cold war that we have in 9ja. 24/7. That looters congregate from all over 9ja to loot does not change anything. |
QueenDima47:If it's truly your wish, you will. No big deal in it though. We are ok abroad but nothing to overhype. |
MrsTwrite:My dear, money dey where e dey. |
Ikaeniyan0:But will NA members be able to resist when bribed big time, coerced and threatened? Will Akpabio fear for his position? Tinubu does not condone being openly opposed. If you can't do his bid when he puts you in a position, you are toast. Oyegun is an example. Unless Tinubu planned it all along, to see the request rejected by NA so that ECOWAS and other Pro-Bazoun world leaders can't blame Tinubu anymore, |
Ok. Good DPO. But hope dey won't start having kids right away, otherwise wahala go dey. Anyway, God na perfect architect. |
The key lesson from this discussion is most Southern Nigerian languages are related. Even Ijaw that seems to be different from others on the surface as ancient words in common with Igbo, Edoid and Yoruba languages. I laugh when people are saying Orubo is Ijaw, others say Orobo is pure Yoruba and so on. Nobody thought about these languages sharing common ancient root words. The world did not begin yesterday. Truth has no regard for tribal politics. |
pocohantas:Madam, try to be reasonable. No real guy supports a deadbeat guy. Every man, rich or poor, has a duty to provide for his family. Yes, his woman can contribute or step in during difficult times. A man is not serious, not willing to work, not willing to learn a skill, which man will advise his sister or female friend to have a baby with such a guy? How do you build an irresponsible person? Your desire to always antagonise men doesn't make your arguments sound reasonable. Even if the guy described by OP is my brother, he still doesn't have any business getting a girl preggy and a relative of mine who would open her legs for him to be preggy deserves her burden. |
ShaqFu:And they ask why do gainfully employed people japa. Quality control and production managers at GSK would be well paid people. But suddenly now have no job. Imagine if one of them missed the chance to japa 5 or 10 years ago. By now their children would have settled in abroad already. |
phr0nesis:Weaker Naira and inflation mean less purchasing power of average Nigerians because the rich and upper middle class go abroad for treatment. Multinationals are accountable to global shareholders. Operations in increasingly impoverished climes are not profitable enough to remain. Simple economics. |
Deew22:Dude, common sense. You have lost fat and gained more lean muscle and possibly more bone density too. That's exactly what you want for good health. You lost fat deposits in areas where they can be very metabolically active in a bad way (belly, neck, breast. etc) to cause metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, HBP, arteriosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, etc. Continue gyming (without steroids), eat a balanced diet and you will develop more healthy bulk muscle (abs, biceps, etc). Check your BMI to be within healthy range, not what people say. |
We have no business in Niger. Embargo is enough. Learn from US/West experience in Iraq/Afghanistan and recent Russian experience in Ukraine. War is not by who has more army population or equipment. Our people say "once wrestling starts, the wrestling ground will get larger". There are too many variables that complicate international wars and make them much costlier in human and economic terms and duration. |
Senioreddy:They have seen the hypocrisy of Western countries. Remember, the military intel have access to all the info on looted funds and where they are kept abroad. The same West that have kept Paul Biya and Mosuveni in power for decades talk of democracy? The West that kept lootocratic senior men like Mobutu, Kamuzu Banda and Hophouet Boigny in office for decades until they became useless talk of democracy? We in Africa sha never ready, civilian or military, so the West, Russia, China and the Middle East will keep playing ping pong with us. 9ja should focus on solving our problems first. The removed oil subsidy must be biting hard in Niger and fuelling the economic crisis there too. If we cut light to Niger, good but ensure we can actually transmit and distribute that extra electricity to Nigerian households and industries. |
gebest:Lol, because of one person? Name your own tribe in Edo and I will tell you vivid details of betrayals that I will bet a lot of money for you to go and verify. Betrayal leading to death, adultery, etc. Please don't go there before it degenerates into intra-Edo tribal bashing. Traitors are everywhere. Delilah, Judas Iscariot, Brutus and others were not from Edo or Nigeria. Obaseki you are talking of is of Anioma origin. I believe someone who reaches a sweeping conclusion like you won't be that enlightened to know. |
Animegirl:You committed a crime. Unless the guy na true simp or ignorant. Cheating is not a crime and you can walk away. But posting nudes of others is a crime. |
Tit4Tat1: ![]() I hope his friends and neighbours are reading. Free pass. Woman cheats, she goes. Even if it happened years ago while already together. I nor want woman wey go kpai person. If another di.ck outside sweet you, abeg just go settle for that one. No hard feelings. |
Words of wisdom. |
She even completed the race, didn't fall, didn't enter wrong track, wetin dem want again, biko? ![]() |
remiopash:Foreign observers don't selectively look at things that way. For example, despite knowing Dangote as super rich, they will view him as that man from a very poor country. The collective prosperity of a country is what people from advanced countries consider. Not the pockets of rich people in a massive sea of poverty. That is how they choose countries to give visa free entry, in addition to a few other criteria. The American mentioned that there are rich/middle class people who live behind high barb-wired fenced houses with security guard. I am not rich but whenever I stayed a bit longer in 9ja, I lived behind high walls with security just like he described. So, the description cannot the faulted. |
abbey621:So you now admit without knowing it that good governments make tough decisions when economy is seemingly good so that the impact will not weigh too much on the currency. Removing subsidy in 2012 would have meant 9ja had enough reserve and decent income to cushion the inflationary effects. Simple logic dictates that you save in times of plenty to safeguard lean days in the future. Nigerians and Nigeria had more economic resilience to cope with subsidy removal in 2012 than right now. We could have begun renovating refineries 11 years ago with saved subsidy money. BUT APC opposed it and protested everywhere. So why did APC spend good 8 years without removing subsidy? Economically, 9ja is not more resilient now than it was in 2016, 2017, 2019 or say 2022, so why now? So it turns out that GEJ that you people and APC dubbed clueless actually had foresight. But he was from the wrong tribe because some tribes claim monopoly over intelligence and ability. Remember too, low crude oil price in theory means cheaper price in the international market to import PMS. Meaning reduced total subsidy IF our elite including those in FG right now actually let us have the correct PMS consumption figures and not send half of subsidised PMS to other African countries to line their pockets. |
Omoluabi111:Just over 200 Naira was lambasted by opposition in 2015, but now 700 is ok? Abeg my brother, tell us how many more finished industrial goods we supply in huge quantities to China, USA, France, NZ, UK or even ECOWAS countries that we didn't produce in 2015. Valuable goods that we want to now make more competitive in World market with low Naira value. Fact is economic downturn and suffering affects every tribe, political affiliation, etc. So let's be honest. |
Ah, if possible just try not to be indebted to a 9ja lady o. No matter how little. Because one day, she will publicly announce that she has been rescuing your broke ass since time of Adam and Eve. They are not wired to give, so just avoid it. Don't even borrow from them to repay sef. |
adecz:The bolded is only on paper. If you are from Yobe, 0/200 will get you into schools to which only one applicant from the state applied. If 5 slots are allocated to Sokoto and 5 applicants from Sokoto all got 0/200, all will be admitted. Even top schools like King's College Lagos do it. |
shiwex:You dey whyne me ni? When they were not in power at the centre, they opposed subsidy removal because their family has oil businesses and cronies/fronts collecting subsidy. Now that they can take money direct from FG big time, no need for subsidy again. They cannot investigate themselves. If your cook is stealing lots of meat from the pot every time, do you stop using meat to cook in your house? No. You sack the cook or monitor the pot of soup. That was the argument against GEJ in 2012. Now in 2023, they not only stop using meat to cook, the household now drinks only garri with groundnut twice a day to survive. No cooking at all. |
SeeThisLoser: ![]() Chai! Why are you so wicked this early moh moh laidis? |
mastermaestro:Every Tinubu supporter will of course feel it's a good move because it makes Tinubu appear to be inclusive. It actually weakens Wike in his South-South homebase that is primarily PDP with LP gaining popularity. Rigging Rivers election doesn't make him popular. He just got a slot in the cabinet for the job. The only person who gains is Tinubu. Wike has undersold himself, or perhaps people wrongly thought he was more than he actually is. Ministers who were in Abuja from 2015-2023, how many of them are relevant in national politics right now? A senate position would have been more honourable for Wike. |
mastermaestro:Really? I used to think he was smarter. From wanting not to be VP to becoming a minister, that he already was years ago? Wike sustained PDP financially for so long, only to be opposing party's minister? He should have nominated someone for minister and stay out. That's what Tinubu did with Buhari/APC for 8 years. Today, Tinubu is able to claim he wasn't in Bubu government. As for Fubara, who says he can't fall out with Wike? Wike fell out with Amaechi. This is politics. |
Pidgin is from Edo and Delta, precisely Benin and Warri to begin with. They were the first to have Western/Portuguese education (obtained in Lisbon and Coimbra majorly) in Nigeria. Local merchants and some of the elite that were not necessarily that educated began mixing local dialects with Portuguese. With time Dutch and French words came in too. Finally, English colonised the area (Niger Area) so that Portuguese, French, local dialects and other influences coalesced into pidgin of today. |
Diligent1:So Diligent, how is your business going? |
Wow! So Wike can actually accept ministerial position? Not even SGF? A man that could not settle for VP? I can't believe that Amaechi could have more integrity than than Wike. At least Amaechi decamped with full chest as governor. May be Wike was actually envious of Amaechi all along. Wow! |
DaTruths:Nor mind our people. Dem too dey assume. This is where we miss Lai Mo. He would have told us running could be on the spot, forward, backward or side ways. ![]() |
