I don't normally support the slut shaming on this forum but this b***h deserves it. How did she become rich? How can a former OAP have such a grand lifestyle?? Even more popular OAPs like Daddy Freeze and the American dude that passed away last year didn't have this kind of lifestyle. No known source of income. No tangible assets. I pity girls who believe everything she says. "Billionaire" my ass. |
As a practicing lawyer of 5 years, I can tell you that the legal profession is the most unequal profession in this country. On one hand, you have extremely rich lawyers such as Afe Babalola, Babalakin, Paul Usoro and other very senior lawyers. On the other hand, you have so many lawyers earning below the national minimum wage. Nevertheless, law is not restricted to litigation. You can work in the private sector (Oil companies, banks, telecoms etc), you can work in the public sector (Ministry of Justice, other government parasitals) and even international organizations (UN, ICC, IBA etc). You can even go into politics (Vice President, Senate President, many senators, two Ministers and 3 Governors are lawyers). It all comes down to what you want to do but for the love of God, run away from litigation. There's no money there. If you are not working in a top 10 law firm, forget it. You can carve out your own niche in practice and make progress (power law, i.t. law, entertainment law etc). I have given you a list of options to choose from. Choose wisely and ignore what others are saying on this forum. |
I am glad that I have found a like-minded person in this depreciating forum. The level of ignorance not just in this forum but in the country as well is nauseating. This is a result of crass ignorance, poverty of the mind and massive underfunding of the education sector. How can everyone be a billionaire? There's no country where that happens. Everyone cannot be an entrepreneur. If everyone is into business, who will work for you? Who will help you run your company? A business can't function without it's staff. I work in my family's law firm and I know how important the staff are to the running of the firm. Even the U.S. ,which is the most capitalist country in the world, does not have that kind of structure. Every occupation in society matters from the police, doctors, scientists, teachers and even cleaners. COVID has shown that scientists, teachers, doctors and the police are very vital to any society that wants to function. Everyone in this country wants to become rich overnight. It cannot happen. This country just encourages mediocrity. Gerrard59: |
You are a bastard! A big one! It's not bad enough that you people have shamed her for not giving birth, now you are mocking her for having a child with another man! Who gave birth to people like you?? Trolls like you should not be allowed to breed. Adesua, congrats. You have shamed all these bitter non-entities who have nothing positive to say about people who are more successful than them in every aspect of life. Antoeni: |
Well, Trump has been booted out from the Oval Office. So, there are consequences for one's actions. You have to remember that Trump is not a politician. He doesn't understand the concept of taking responsibility. He's always been this way even before he became President. We should accept mediocrity simply because another country tolerated it. We will never move forward with this mindset. alezzy13: |
Nigerian Ministers have said worse on social media but have still retained their jobs. The fact is that he took responsibility for his actions and resigned. This can never happen in Nigeria. Femi Adesina, Lauretta Onochie, Garba Shehu & Lai Mohammed ought to have resigned a long time ago for their stupid posts but they can't do that as the average Nigerian doesn't have integrity. If I may chip in, art courses in the west are highly competitive and saturated (e.g. Law, Political Science). They also vary from one jurisdiction to another just like some previous posters have pointed out. Whereas, science is the same everywhere. Even medicine and accountancy that requires you to undergo their own versions of the aforementioned courses are in very high demand. I am a lawyer but I have to acknowledge that science is more important to the development of a country than arts. The Asian tigers of Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong got to where they are today because of the sciences. |
Wtf?? Just look at the chick that caused him to commit suicide? This guy suffered from serious low self-esteem! I mean, of all women?? Being broke and not exposed is a crime. If he was from a well-to-do background would he have done such? I just don't understand. Idiots like this make women in this country feel that they are better than what they are. |
Of course. So many guys have been friend zoned by her. Blocked. Ignored even . She knows damn well that if Don Jazzy wasn't rich & famous, she would never acknowledge his existence. This is why I tell guys to sort themselves out instead of chasing tail Once you are financially stable, educated and influential, the world is yours pansophist: |
If he was some unknown bloke from the streets, would she be writing this long epistle. This bird can't be more than 21. Power of money & fame. (pansophist: |
See how people are justifying mediocrity. How can you separate adults over the age of 18 from mingling with each other? What's the difference between this school and what happens in Saudi Arabia?? You think that you are promoting "morality" amongst students? Let me tell you something, people who went through strict draconian religious doctrines are worse than those from "liberal" backgrounds. Once they attain their freedom, they will do all sorts of crazy things in the name of "experimentation". I've seen too often. The most promiscuous girls are those from strict religious backgrounds. They take their freedom to great lengths because they didn't have first hand knowledge of these things in school/home. Don't be surprised that homosexuality will be on the rise in this institution as students only see members of the same sex in hostels for the majority of their duration on campus. |
Let this be a lesson to all these "red pillars" and "alpha males" who think that they can step to anyone because they are men. There are levels in this life. Israel just learnt that the hard way. Know your level. Don't come with that 'street' nonsense. As Cersei Lannister said in GOT: "Power is power". One call from Otedola to the right people in power will end his livelihood in this country. As you have noticed, Davido and Zlatan left him to face the music on his own. Davido is not going to risk his friendship with Cuppy for a hype man. All those who thought that OBO would come to his rescue can now see that the rich will never fight themselves on your behalf. As for those calling him a "simp" for apologizing, you would do worse in his position if they threaten to destroy your livelihood. |
Truth is bitter mate. I've been observing this forum for over 6 years and have seen all sorts of nonsense perpetrated by you lots. A man on this very forum bragged about killing his ex-girlfriend in retaliation for her indirectly killing his dad and most guys supported him. No one bothered to report him to the police. I've read 30 year old men talking about their 16/17 year old girlfriends and no one reporting them for dating a minor. In fact, many people supported them. During the peak of the rape saga last year, a lot of people on this forum believed that such women deserved to be raped because of their "attire" even though one of the victims was wearing hijab. Some have called for the genocide on a whole tribe (Igbos) and were not banned or reported. If all that I've listed doesn't make at least half of you insane, I don't know what else does. TUANKU: |
I am a man but I have to admit that at least 50% of the men on this forum are mentally unstable. Hence their deeply misorgynist views of women and justification for perverted crimes such as rape, assault and murder. Fejimummy: |
Buratai really has low IQ. This statement is enough to indict both him and his boss. In a sane society, Buhari would be forced to step down due this blatant case of nepotism and Buratai should have been Court-Martialled for his incompetence as COAS. However, we live in a country where tribalism and religious intolerance is the order of the day. |
Don't mind them! Wealth in this part of the world doesn't last due to a lack of succession plan of the head of the family. Oyinbos and Asians have wealth that has lasted generations due to a clear succession plan. What is the point have properties and businesses if your descendants do not take over from you once you are no more? Dangote that ever one is praising had a better head start than most people in this country because he came from money. His uncle gave him a loan which is big money in this current climate. Donald Trump got a loan from his father as well. oluwaseyi0: |
Nigeria was never united right from independence. We have been living in denial for years. We are too different culturally & religiously. It's so funny that we complain about racism from the white man when we are very tribalistic towards each other. I will give you an example, a Fulani/Hausa man would rather marry his daughter to an Arab man than an Igbo man while an Igbo man would rather marry his daughter to a white man than a Fulani/Hausa man. That's how badly we hate each other. StagethemTVee: |
Leave these people. They are thinking like local champions. Anyone who is very observant without bias would know that Nigeria is not Cuppy's target market. She's using Nigeria as a stepping stone to enter the International market. For crying out loud, she doesn't even live in Nigeria. She only turns up during the holiday season. Her suing Israel is to ensure that her international image is intact. She has a lot to lose internationally if those allegations are true. These lots keep talking about her losing against the "streets". How are the "streets" her business? That's Zlatan and Naira Marley's audience not hers. eyinjuege: |
First and foremost, which North are you talking about? I hope it's not the middle belt states of Kwara, Benue, Kogi, Nasarewa, Plateau, Kaduna, Niger and Taraba? Those states own the majority of resources in the so-called "north" and they are not going to join you lots. Secondly, you talk about feeding the south when you cannot feed yourselves. If you could, you would not be producing Boko Haram, almajiris,Miyetti Allah, Herdsmen and Bandits. A region that can feed itself would not be migrating to several parts of the country just to beg for alms. No, you would farming in the village and produce enough to export to others. You know that this isn't obviously the case. Thirdly, you are ranked low in all human indexes. Literacy, economically and life expectancy. Whether you like it or not, you lots have one of the highest poverty rate in the world as you keep having more children than you can afford to have. No nation ever progresses when they have more mouths to feed than the available resources. Fourthly, if you kept up with the latest trends in the 21st Century, you would know that mineral resources is no longer the main source of wealth for any functioning country. It's all above I.T. South Korea is one of the most advanced countries in the world. It has zero resources. It got to where it is through it's human resources. Same thing with Japan, Israel, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. The aforementioned countries are even more advanced than the gulf countries with their oil. Speaking of the gulf, do you know that Dubai has the least amount of oil compare to other countries in the Emirate and the middle east in general? Despite this, it is the most advanced country in the middle east bar Israel. The South is full to the brim with educated people which you don't have. Let's see who progresses first. Lastly, you cannot leave as your elites are benefitting from the "one nigeria" project. Hold them responsible for keeping you in this ungodly union. N.B. Please remember that you are a landlocked region. Once this country disintegrates, you can only export your products through Southern ports as it is cheaper than to export them through neighboring countries. If the South decide to impose a blockade on your goods, you are as good as finished. Arewa1stSon: |
Cubana Priest is nothing more than a clout chaser. His sudden fame has entered his head. Same with Zlatan. What people fail to realize is that Cuppy has nothing to lose. If music doesn't work for her, she can either work for her father's firm or work in several international firms courtesy of her dad's connections. These guys on the other hand, have nothing else to fall back on but the entertainment business. truthsayer009: |
This is the problem. She doesn't know her worth! These guys grew up in the hood. They will never respect her because all they see is a silver spoon girl who never had to go through what they went through. They know that without their fame, Cuppy would never acknowledge them. She should stick to people of her caliber and stop embarrassing the Otedola name by associating with hood rats. We4all: |
You are wasting your time quoting that useless entity. Why he hasn't been banned is a mystery. All he does is to bumlick Bubu. Even if the country should descend to anarchy he will still support Bubu. Mindless being. Agboriotejoye: |
Femi, Femi, Femi, how many times have I mentioned your name? Your time in Aso Rock will soon end and then you will have to face your people who you have sold out for a few coins of silver. If you know what's good for you, don't come back to the South West. Stay in Abuja or flee the country. You are a disgrace to Yorubas and Southerners in general. People like you and Lauretta are the reason why Northern muslims feel that they can get away with anything. No Fulani man would ever sell out his people to the South. No matter his social status. Not even Atiku. Bloody traitor. |
Madam, Rotimi doesn't belong to that list. He was born and bred in the U.S. It's common knowledge that most celebrities of Nigerian descent who grew up abroad end up marrying non-Nigerians due to their environment. Rotimi even tried as he is engaged to an African woman. Most Nigerian-American celebrities end up with African Americans or whites. |
It shows that the government has failed in a ramifications. A serious government doesn't have time for such nonsense but in a country where religion and culture hold sway, this is the result. ]Even in Asian countries like Singapore and China which are very strict, you will not see this sort of nonsense. eagleu: |
Now this is a very important statement! Nigerians, over the years, have been programmed to accept mediocrity as a way of life. This is why majority of Nigerians believe that as long as you have money you get anything you want in the country even providing electricity and water for yourself which is the job of the government. They don't understand that they are entitled to certain rights as citizens of the country. People even see public defecation and reckless driving as something that is normal! That how bad the governments from 1960 upward have messed up the psyche of the average Nigerian. Livefreeordieha: |
Wike is a typical southern governor willing to kiss the bums of the Northern Fulanis for political favors. No Governor in the core north would ever try such rubbish. Southern politicians and elites are the South's biggest obstacles to independence not the Northerners. |
Don't mind Nigerians. That's how these things start. These things start from schools where they want to control they way you dress and think. From schools to NYSC to where you work to Government Parasitals. By the time you know it, it will be a crime for you to dress casually in public. This is how SARS and other officers of the "law" started their madness. eagleu: |
That's Nigerians for you. Always comparing everything with the West. They will not look at Asian countries that are more similar to us. They will not look at the Gulf countries that were deserts only 50 years ago. We are good at justifying mediocrity in this part of the world. Biglittlelois: |
That Japan you see so is the most advanced country in the world (yes, even more advanced than the U.S.A). I would rather that "foolishness" than being a "wise Nigerian" that has not profited us since independence. Elove1: |
Why do people ask retarded questions in Nairaland? Which sane person would choose a Civil Service job of suffering over N50million that will change your life for the better Do you know what N50million is? Most of these "celebrities" cannot boast of having assets up to the aforementioned amount. Do you plots of land (outside Lagos, Abuja & Port Harcourt) you could get with that money?? They need to screen the posters on this forum. Too many kids & idiots. |
I wish that I could like this quote several times. Nigeria doesn't appreciate intellectuals. All we care about is money and power hence why Politicians and Religious Leaders are so powerful in this part of the world. More intellectuals will soon leave this country as it doesn't appreciate them. Mavrick2012: |
