You get it bro! Almost all Nigerian have their children as directors in their companies. Despite this, most Family owned businesses do not survive the founder due to lack of succession planning and the unwillingness to bring in outsiders as directors. Most businesspeople in this country run their companies like a one-man show and are answerable to no one. That's why I am not really envious of all these business families as their wealth doesn't last beyond one generation.

99% of Nigerians start up their companies and list their children - family members as directors. Nothing new here which is why most businesses crumble - they don't successfully pass on from generation to generation. The rare Nigerian business that is 50+ years is still alive because its creator isn't dead yet.

You hardly see people of same passion, skill or interest form a common company. Even if they do, one will soon become "more successful", break away and the company collapses.

There's hundreds of them all over the country. Most of them are either married/in a relationship. They are just like any other person. It's the way you approach them that matters. One of my closest friends just got engaged to a female doctor who works in Marina. Most people in this forum don't understand the meaning of "high value". A high valued woman is someone at the top of her profession/business e.g. Alaikija, Okonjo Iweala or Bola Sagaya. Note, the aforementioned women are married with children. If you as a guy have something doing for yourself, the so-called "high valued" woman will respect you. No guy who is educated and is financially comfortable would be intimidated by such woman.

OP, the problem is that women in this country believe that classism doesn't apply to them.They believe that only men can be "broke" and be subjected to "classism". As materialistic as the west is, there is equal opportunities for both genders. Once you are 16 , you can start work as a summer job/part-time student. This installs youths with an independent mindset from an early age. Here, many people don't have any job experience until they are like 25. The culture of the man taking care of the woman doesn't help matters.

In all my years living abroad, I did not go to my school to collect my certificates. They were all posted to my home address. Hell, I still receive letters from my schools to my Nigerian address. If a foreign country can successfully post a letter to Nigeria, why can't Nigerian institutions do it within their own jurisdiction? Nigeria is stuck in the 80s man.
