Yes. It's usually caused by iron deficiency. I placed myself on pure ion supplement some time ago. It worked but a pharmacist later advised me to slow down or stop taking it when I started having tension headaches. He said too much of iron can cause it. I stopped it and the tension headache disappeared. So it's been a while I took blood caps. I guess that's why the pica is stronger these days.

from what i understand, pica is usually caused by a vitamin deficiency, often iron. i think u need a blood test to identify the vit u need so u can attack this from the root.
