MrBrownJay1: I mean, normal parents want the best for their children therefore they would never let you move out, unless they knew you could take care of Yourself. Thats the amgle where parent should know, while not wanting a piece of your cheque. You are talking from the angle of normal parents. So many parents left their responsibilities for their child or children. I don't believe parents should know the amount you are paid. They could be manipulative. My mum never asked anyway. |

LastDance: Whether they know or not, it changes nothing. Since your parents got married, they have been living fine, feeding fine and living their life. They gave birth to you, saw you through school till you graduated. Remember when your mom used to pack foodstuffs for you, so you can feed well in school. well let me suprise you, she might have borrowed the money but she did not tell you.
well over the years, she still paid back all the debts she owned just to see you smile.
So whether you tell them how much you earn or not.
They will not beg you of money and they will continue to survive as they did before.
So to whom a brain is given, sense is expected. A child should never be made to feel that he/she owes the parent's for the things the parents did to bring them up. The child did not beg to be born and it is the duty of a patent to bring up a child in the best way possible. When the child grows up, he or she should not be trying to pay back because the mum or dad suffered for him or her. Who else is supposed to make foodstuffs available for the child either by borrowing or having? |

igwefivestar: remember that what work for u might not work for another person. Marriage don't have formula. Off course. But there are basics, foundation and standards in marriage. There should be love and trust, they have both become one. So if that is in place, the OP should not even need to ask this question because it is an indication that his marriage is faulty. |

pocohantas: You know them very well. I was having this conversation with my friend. I told him, girls beg shamelessly...while guys beg tactically. No guy will ever ask you for money to buy phone or clothes, only girls do that nonsense. They come with this SUPPORT story. Put you in that spot where you are caught between INVESTING in you guys FUTURE or being the Nigerian girl who couldn't support her man. And hey, chick wanna be different, a different kinda Nigerian girl...so she does 737...
If I were her, I would give. Not the amount he asked for, but something to SUPPORT him. Not because I hope he comes back to marry me, but because he needs it and I can help. Really true. When guys ask for money, it is usually a big amount which in most cases they don't pay back. They try to use logic to make you feel you don't love them when you request for the money. I would say in this situation, she should not give the guy because it's her life savings, she also wants to process her travel, the guy is still a stranger and it's too early in the relationship to start lending out such an amount. |

It is so cheesy and smart of him to put you in a difficult position...at a time when the relationship is young and emotions are running wild. And using the information you confided in him to his advantage.
You need to be wise and block your ears to all the background noise about supporting your man...blah blah blah. That is how I dropped my cheques and didn't get my money back till now five years later all in the name of support. |

Am saying when you take care of your family the woman will not be interested in your pay or increment.
You don't have to be a millionaire before you display a good sense of responsibility It is only when you abandone your responsibility that your wife start being curious about your bank account or pay or even salary increment Not true. Every increase should be noted and celebrated. But you have your own opinion |

We plan together and spend together and no one feels like the Alpha or Omega. I think that is how a couple should be and not each one protecting their separate interests. |

if there's no way her husband will ask her for a new car
if there's no way she'll start taking care of more of her husband's relatives
then she shouldn't keep her salary increament a secret There is no way a salary increment from the wife's side won't impact on the man directly or indirectly whether or not he is dependent on her. Whatever the case, a man and wife are one and should not keep secrets from each other. |

UyaiIncomparabl: Why am I so unemotional? I mean, nothing hardly interests my fancy. Just this morning, I've received countless 'Yuletide's' greetings from acquaintances and close friends, but I haven't even deemed it fit to return the texts nor the calls. I intentionally rejected two calls from unknown persons who I know were calling to wish me a Merry Christmas. Nothing ever interests me.
I'm not even turned on/elated of the fact that today is Christmas. Seeing people passing by and chanting at the top of their voices 'Eku Odun' or 'Merry/Happy Christmas my sister' really irks me a lot. I wonder what the whole fuss is all about!
I mean, I've just been trying to force myself to reply people who've been disturbing my ears to the ongoing celebration, and in actuality, I don't even mean it.
I remember warning someone yesterday never to wish me anything else I block him. How sad!
Now, the whole summary of my post is, I'm not fun-seeking. I'm too rigid. I'm never elated at any celebration. I don't go to see movies. I hate eateries. The mall scares me. I tell off the few friends I have, but they understand my madness and they keep returning. I hardly get moved if someone is even dying. I always find faults in everything.
Am I mentally deranged or totally normal? Am I a sadist? Why am I so unemotional? Right now, my mind is filled with strife. I truly agree now and think that I need mental help. I think I'm a psycho. You are not a psycho. I used to be quite unemotional but I am better though I am still impartial and unsentimental. There is one things that soften most people... having a baby. It melts the hearts of most women and makes them more emotional. |
Family › Re: I Just Found Out My Husband Has Cheated On Me. Please Help by ImaIma1(f): 11:41am On Dec 27, 2018 |
It is hard to advise in this delicate situation. Cheating is not a husband's right as some people are making it seem.
Cheating does a lot of damage to the family and to the person cheating himself even if he doesn't know.
It tampers with the bond between a couple and destroys every form of love and trust.
At this point, you need to be selfish and do what's best for you and the children. Your husband is selfishly taking care of his sexual urges outside not caring if you are hurt in the process... whether emotionally or health wise.
There are some things I won't take. And one of them is putting me in the line of danger. |

rentAcock: Hahahaha exactly. Now apply that same logic and reasoning and ask yourself and the rest of the urchins passing judgement how do they know she's being maltreated and starved? You don't have to sound like you know everything because you don't. In my own case, I am not adding to or assuming any other details aside what is in the picture or video. And from the video, it is a sorry sight and a mean and unkind behavior towards the child. |

rentAcock: An outing to a restaurant is nothing more than an experience. That she doesn't ear shawarma or pizza at the restaurant doesn't mean that she's being starved at home. Going out to eat is a time to bond with the family, it isn't a staple. And she has to be reminded vividly that she isn't part of the family. Then why did they take her along? |

Over righteousness only on the internet. It takes someone with a good heart to understand the wickedness in that picture. So because she is being fed at home, clothed and paid means she should be isolated like an epidermic and made to watch as they eat? I would rather leave my help at home than treat her like an outcast. |
