If it were her family member,it will be easy to address the rudeness heads-on. But with inlaws, you cant say much.

For instance, she could tell her sibling to get her assz off the couch and get something done in the house....she could also reset her erring sibling with whatever is required. So please understand the limitations of living with inlaws....especially the saucy ones.
They will go back to their parents and twist the story and they will see the wife as bad. Very typical.

Some will say marriage is between you and your partner and your parents have no right to interfere. That may be true, but what an elderly person sees sitting down, a child may not see while standing up
Sometimes what an elderly person sees sitting down is nonsense. Some are borne out of their own limited knowledge or selfish interests.

Besides, a foolish young man grows to be a foolish old man.

Right now, all advice will fall on deaf ears because she is blinded by the romantic love and the vision of a beautiful life together where he will wake up every morn and kiss her good morning.

She will come to realization herself like the prodigal son. It might be too late to pick up herself or she might still have a chance.

When life happens, she will look back at the chance she had to have a good quality of life and how she threw it all away. Experience always teaches people better. Only a few can forsee the future and step back and change course.

Best thing is to let her do what she wants. When the scales fall off her eyes, she'll be looking for how to come back.

Most of you men are cowards who can't challenge a fellow man but you prefer to act like rabid dogs when there's an altercation with a woman...
You'll see many of them here; the way they mouth off when it comes to women. But they turn into meek sheep when a guy is involved. Cowards.

@ Bold is basically what is making OP feel that her daughter was a slow learner... A neighbor might also tell him on how her daughter or son has started Algebraic equation @ 3...Then the pressure will be there on the kid... the competition will be on..

Just like what u said, .."nobody care who started writing first. All of them will be on the same level"...But many parent will not buy that idea... the bragging right should be maintained at all time...
Bragging rights...lol. it is even sweeter when you are telling the story and you say your child couldn't write at 4 but she's a genius now.

Hello here, I am really sad right now, I'm confused. My daughter's teacher called me to tell me she's not coping in class, she even said she organized extra lesson for her. She can't tell the difference between figures and number, she can write figure one and letter A. Nothing else. She doesn't come home to recite poems or anything but she sings those songs she hears from other kids or anywhere. Just not the school ones.
I love my daughter, I adopted her at age 1 and since then I have been trying to make life easier for her, I got a tab for her at 2 and half, She has toys, bikes, everything a kid should have for mental and academic growth.
I make sure she doesn't get mentally stressed. I love to make her comfortable. She's very active, smart ( in my own view). She operates my phone and her tab just fine, She understands complex conversations.
I make learning fun for her, I've tried everything.
Please, parents, teachers, experienced adults. I need your help here.
I don't know what being tagged "a slow learner" would do to her mental health. I need her to catch up.
It's ok for you to worry but you should also realize that children develop at a different pace. The fact that child A is doing simultaneous equations at 3 doesn't mean child B will learn at the same pace. Eventually, they all catch up.

My daughter had her first tooth at 11months. I was worried because I saw others growing teeth from 4months and some people would tell you their child grew hers at 1month. Now she's four, with a mouth full of teeth. No one is asking me when she had her first tooth. That doesn't matter anymore.

So you can try to help her but don't put her under pressure so that she won't hate learning. Learning should be fun for them.

A three year old that was supposed to be playing, sleeping, coloring and singing.....waiting for 3 or 4pm so that the parent can come and pick her up is whom they organized an extra lesson? ...That's suffocation... they will make that kid to dislike school system if care is not taken...It makes me angry when unnecessary pressure is mounted on kids just so the parent can brag of how genius their kids were....
At 3,my daughter was writing 1-100. Her own is too much. Always asking her teacher to give her more homework, thereby giving me more work.

But op need not worry. They all eventually catch up. When they are in primary 5/6, nobody cares who started writing first. All of them will be on the same level.

My friend's elder sister was switched, and this was in the 70s. It was an aunty who visited the mum in the hospital that saw the baby and said "this is not a Johnson baby" (not real name).

There was another baby born that day. She just looked at the baby's face and said that is their baby. Behold after investigating, they realized they had the wrong baby.

All these traits and characters get magnified in marriage. There's no place to hide. Any bad character you carry into marriage without working on, will definitely show up in a big way.

And the first year of marriage is quite tough for many. Because you are both trying to deal with differences in opinions, in culture, in habits, etc. Eventually you will learn to meet halfway.

But then, bad character can be toned down if the person makes a conscious effort to change.

The truth is that you can't have your cake and eat it. You have to try to allocate your time well. There are people that are working 8-6pm who are currently running their Masters or writing professional exams. It doesn't come easy.

As for the other job, it might have to suffer a bit. You sacrifice one for the other if you cannot handle both.

Your other option is to forgo PPA and part of your allowee or all. Life has started. You have to start making decisions.
Family › Re: Biblically: Is It Proper For The Wife To Call The Husband By His Name by ImaIma1(f): 4:13pm On Jan 28, 2022
princeemmma:
We all understood why some wife in the bible addresses their husband as "My Lord", example is Sarah (1Peter 3:6.) Why? Because the husband is the second after God to his wife, God made the husband the head over everything and that's the way it should be (Ephessians 1:22). Apostle Paul also instructed the wife to subject to their husband (I Peter 3:1).

We understood the fact that civilization has brought a lot of things, that made the wife feel he should address his husband by his name. But is this fare? Is it the right thing to do biblically? Why don't we follow the bible anymore? Has life changed to extend that it has to cancel the word of God?

Making note of this, i remember a couple who love to address each other by name, the wife call the husband Funsho and the husband addresses his wife as Mide, the unfortunate thing that happen is that when their child started growing up, he started calling the father by his name "Funsho" and was addressing his mother as "My Mummy". He was addressing the father as Funsho at home, they found no fault and they did not rebuke the boy, not until the boy called the father Funsho inside the Church, when everything was quiet. Now whose fault is this? Can the boy stop?

Now to my question. What do you call your spouse and why? Is it proper to call your spouse by his/her real name? how do you feel it should be biblically?

As for me, i feel it should be done the way the bible says, and am trying to apply this in my marriage currently, and its working very well.

N:B This is for everyone to learn and mend the fault in all their Marriages, even if you are not married yet, you are still going to get married. (Proverb 3:13 and 11:28) "says blessed are those that seeketh knowledge".
If the children are copying what the parents call themselves, that means they will also call the father "my lord" outside. Or is it only first names they copy?

If the boy called his father by name and called his mum " my mummy ", whose fault is it since the couple both called each other by their names?

Aren't the couple both expected to correct the child and teach him what they should be known as (mummy and daddy)?

What did Funsho feel like when his little son was calling him Funsho at the beginning? Cool? Otherwise, he would've correct him.

How come the child calls the mother "my mummy" even when daddy calls her "Mide"?
The op doesn't really know what he is saying. Your children will still address you as mummy and daddy.

My daughter will tell you her father's name, is "uncle Booboo". She knows my name too and calls me that when she's trying to be naughty. But outside, strictly "mummy" and "daddy". We didn't teach her that.

You are just talking plenty mumbo jumbo and not really making much sense. All that is in your head is Nigerian girls like money, whether it applies to the situation or not.

On the money matter, may God provide you with plenty of it, and hoping that it will wipe away all the bitterness and pain you carry around like a placard.

Pregnancy takes a toll on women differently. You need to be considerate and understanding. Do you know what it means to be carry another human being; the hormonal imbalance, tiredness, etc.

Let her handle it how she can for now. If there's some other form of support you can give her at this time, please do it.
