nurey: Dragging right of way with Danfo
When you feel like you know how to speak english and you are a lawyer or have a uniform man as husband or brother, you now saw a danfo driver signal with hand but decide to ignore him because you know how to speak queens english, sorry is your case, he would scratch your car, dent it and drag your bumper along with him and the only thing you will receive is "you sef for no follow the man drag and all his passenger will blame you because you left your mother tongue and confusing them with oyinbo " The best the danfo driver will do is to prostrate. And the passengers will join and beg and say "shebi he has begged you" like begging can buy bumper in ladipo. |

macaphan007: Nigerians and mundane things, wasting their time and effort debating about things that are meaningless, good to know where your tithes goes,I believe 90% of those making noise here don't even pay tithe,so why cry more than the bereaved, I want to believe if these same people can focus on the people that collect their tax and what its been used for our country will be better for it, Nigerians are weak minded people, intellectually lazy dolts that don't have an independent opinion, fail to study always quick to join the bandwagon, swift to copy everything they see,we pay taxes from VAT to both personal and income tax,we pay stamp duties,we pay ATM charges but no one has deemed it fit to attack the thieves in Government.I noticed a trend every since NwaAmaIkpe joined nairaland with his sarcasm,I noticed clones and wannabes copying his style,I just laugh at how cerebrally weak some Nigerians are just to sound relevant by copying another person's style, well that's how we roll in this country.am not holding brief for anybody but I wish people can truly find time to research before making their opinions known,no wonder the country is where it is today. Thank you for writing this. Truly people are quick to join the bandwagon even if it is something they know little or nothing about. We continue to pay tax,NEPA bill, DSTV water bill...even if we get skeletal services in return...but we still continue to pay for services not rendered. But one person talks about tithe and pastors and people start talking plenty and showing their muscle. It is a pity. |

lovelygurl: She's is a 2 month BABY ahn ahn!!!
All she has know is her mum Lol...i have learnt from my neighbours baby that babies are not that oblivious of what they do. Imagine her at 3months using a wrapper to cover her finger to suck it. How did she know to do that? And many habits are formed from now. As she has started from now to get angry, if it is not curbed on time, she will most likely grow up throwing tantrums. My neighbour goes through a lot cos her baby hangs to her like a Siamese twin and it was because she over carried her and refused to drop her to be on her own sometimes. My mum inlaw told me not to always let my baby look into my eyes when breastfeeding...that she will get too attached to me. So i try to look away . I drop her when i have fed her so that she could be ok lying and falling asleep on her own. She is close to a month old. I think babies follow patterns you create for them. |

Spylord48: we have done everything o. The most painful aspect of it is that instead of you carrying her,if her mum is cooking or doing chores, she will prefer to lie down in the kitchen and be discussing with her. she won't even allow you to carry her before crying and immediately her mum carry her back, she will start smiling and laughing at the person that wanted to carry her. Do you mean two years old or two months old. I can't imagine a 2month old acting that mature...laughing at the person that wanted to carry her. Do two months old even laugh yet? I know they smile. My baby is almost 1month old...i am just trying to understand a 2month old doing all that |

Spylord48: Crying isn't much an issue. My little cousin own is the even the worst. She is just two months old but she doesn't even allow anybody apart from her mum to carry her.Worst still is if she is crying and her mum don't carry her on time, she will vex and refused to drink breast until she will plead and beg her. The thing just tire everybody eh and she started this even before she clock 1month old! Two months old acting that way? Such bad habits should be broken early instead of encouraged. Na hunger go catch am o. A two month old cannot and should not dictate for the mum. |

Caseless: I was active there because it was a thread that portrays everything wrong with our sense of religion and the discerning Christians(unlike you airheads) came with scriptural proofs to dispute tithing and it was educative for me. Show me a mosque where people pay such, and I'll enjoin my good Christian friends to help me fight against such. We are talking about emancipation and not bondage you keep people by forcing them to tithe.
When Muslims comment on Christian thread, they come with facts, not insult. Few Muslims comment on Christian thread. But all the Christian do on Muslim thread is name calling and insult. Hence the decision to have that declaration. If you don't like it, deactivate your account. Goes to show how insecure muslims are of their religion. It is Nairaland causing this rubbish. Allowing people like you to have a say in matters relating to Christianity and restricting Christians from commenting on Islam posts. How is that even balanced? |

Lightening: I disagree with you. People need to be enlightened since our pastors choose to hide the truth to enable them continue with the fleecing of their flock. Most people paying their tithe today do so out of fear. Is it what the pastors say or what the bible says? We should learn to read and understand the bible ourselves so that we wont be pushed left right and centre when faced with a non issue like this. The people that pay tithe out of fear is their punishment for being gullible. Even my pastors say that we need to understand why we pay tithe because iy is a waste of resources if we pay without knowing why we do. |

Tithing is not something Christians should debate over. It is a personal agreement with you and God. Give your tithe if you will and forget what anyone says or thinks. If you are not going to pay, stop trying to justify it and trying to get support for your decision. Just quietly don't give. |

Diamond bank 80k plus 12k transport allowance while in training school. Afterwards Entry levek 214k... rent allowance paid in January, medical allowance, leave allowance, off the shelf medical paid in December, etc.
First bank is a little lower but with more allowances which makes the total package more. |

efighter: I am a Muslim married to a Christian lady whose father is a senior clergy man. We are happy together. Late Alh Abubakar Audu was married to Alhaja Aisha Audu, they had a very messy divorce. Atiku Abubakar's son is an Alhaji married to a Muslim woman from Bornu, we have been reading about their messy divorce in the newspapers. Pastors Chris Oyakhilome was married to Pastor (Mrs) Anita Oyakhilome, they had a messy divorce. Pastor Chris Okotie was married twice to two Pastor (Mrs), they are all apart now.
I have no advice for the O.P. You mentioned few amongst a million couples. Being married and practicing different religions creates complications. When children come...will they go to church or mosque?... if we need to pray together as a couple, do we kneel down or take the Muslim position? Before going into a lifetime decision like that, you must weigh your options. Think five to ten years down the line. My cousin married a muslim against her family's advice but she said they were in love and he promised not to marry another wife . Years later; when he wanted to take a 2nd wife, she raised hell, earth...everything but her family didn't even support her. They told her that she has to live with her life decision. He has a third wife now ...a young fresh 19yr old chick. Op i know you are the man in this case and you have the advantage but you still have to think about how the future will be when the love shacking is out the window. |

LuckyLadolce: I work in a corporate environment where you work your ass out late in the office . But the married ladies with kids tidy their tables on time to leave for their various homes in order to cater for the kids. If a banker can be in a hurry to cater for her kids, who's an hairdresser. An hairdresser with a more flexible work life. Who can decide when to open and when to close on her own. My brother is an assistant manager in small company, so he doesn't have much time as such. More reason why my parents allow them to drop the kids in the morning and pick them in the evening around 8pm. We know of hairdressers who are always busy from morning till evening, but closes before nine for the sake of their kids. If you can't cater for your kids as a woman, then who are you really working for ?
You asked if their marriage is my business, yes it is! Depending on circumstances. In this type of circumstance, it is my business. Thank you. You people have given her the time to mess up. Please stop babysitting for her. Let the kids go to the salon after school. Do not allow her keep them in your house giving her enough time for freedom. Let her be responsible for them. If a banker can rush home, how can't a stylist who owns her business do same...10pm...when it is not Christmas season. |
