Rokia2: She is a mother of three so what's wrong with that? Even Beyoncé when she first had her twins was spotted with Jay Z with a spandex under her dress. Mothers go through a lot to have their babies and a woman body go through a lot. If a woman is doing everything after having children to have her body back and her self confidence back, nothing wrong with that. For God sake we are all women we should learn to empower each other and not hate on each other. At the same time it puts some mothers on the edge. They start trying different ways to get that figure after childbirth not knowing that the pictures they are seeing are deceptive. ..they probably did a tumny tuck, use body magic, etc. |
Family › Re: Should Children Say Thank You To Their Parent(s) After Every Meal? by ImaIma1(f): 12:00pm On Oct 05, 2017 |
Daeylar: Gifts are gifts, children are not entitled to gifts, children do not need a laptop or a bicycle. If you get a gift for a child the child should be taught to say thank you and be grateful for every gift given. That's different.
Food however is a basic need. Children are entitled to food.
The fact that they don't say thank you after eating will not make them ungrateful.
Op I'm with you, I think it's going over board, you can teach kids how to be grateful but saying thank you after every single meal eaten is doing too much in my opinion.
I think a middle ground is OK, they should teach the child/ren to be thankful, to appreciate their parents and to appreciate any good thing they have, they should also be taught not to take any thing for granted.
they can say thank you for their meals once in a while. that's all right, but every time is too much for me. It's important to teach kids to be thankful even for the little things. Even though God is our father and has the ability to provide for us. We still thank Him for the food we eat and even water we drink. I don't think it is wrong for children to be taught to say thank you even after eating. Even my hubby still thanks me after he eats whether or not it's his money that cooked d food. |

What i see here is lack of unity and communication. She is a banker and needs to leave home on time. As a banker too, some branches wont let u meet ur target especially when u have more prospects and customers where u are. Husband is being denied sex and his authority in the house is taken for granted.
It just seems like they are both living together but living their lives separately. They need to talk and be understood. Explain each situation well and stop acting like strangers. There shouldn't be power tussle. |

Why do they say thank you when their parents buy them gifts like a bicycle, laptop, car, etc? Afterall the parents brought them to the world and children are entitled to all gifts abi. Saying thank you after meals is good. The children learn to be grateful. There are too many ungrateful and entitled children out there. Children who never show appreciation or even know how to greet because parents are trying to be modern in their upbringing. Poster let kids say thank you at any time they receive stuff. It helps them |

What's new in a woman breastfeeding that u have to upload it in the internet. Besides even in America mommies cover their breast when feeding.
Upload a pic of a woman breastfeeding and let's see what most of the guys would talk about..! Lol...soon we will start seeing pictures of women's vagynas on the internet to appreciate the fact that a baby came out of it. Afterall it is a beautiful and natural thing to birth a child and the vagyna should be seen in that light alone. |

contactmorak: Hmm
The husband probably posted it to appreciate the effort of mothers. As you can see, the lady was studying and had to drop the book just to attend to her baby.
In this day and age when many young mothers avoid breastfeeding their babies and opt for processed food formula, I respect the woman in that picture for still feeding such a grown baby.
Is there any difference if her baby sudden gets hungry at a public place like the airport and she breasts her while people pass? For guys like Ruggedman who have never been a father and lived with a nursing woman, they will always see a breastfeeding woman as exposing her nudity.
His case is just like many single people giving opinions on marriage like they know where the shoe pinches. It beats me that the breast we were hiding before is now being showcased all in the name of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding didnt start today but suddenly young women are posting semi nude pics. Another subtle way of displaying nudity. I will not expose my boobs in public because i want to breastfeed my child. It is still my body to protect...baby or not. Imagine being in the sitting room with your husband and his friends...would you bring out your boobs like that to breastfeed or sitting in the front sear in church while the pastor is preaching. So many semi nude pics all over the internet supposedly promoting nudity and calling it breastfeeding. It is now a trend. |

Family › Re: How Often Should A Wife Call Her Mother? by ImaIma1(f): 1:02pm On Sep 30, 2017 |
eyinjuege: You don't know the reason the mother keeps calling her daughter daily after work. The OP himself said it started 2 years after their marriage. What if the mother is going through some challenges in their family? Who else would she talk to if not her grown up children? I'm even surprised some people are saying the mother is teaching her child how to run her home. Why is coming to people naturally that mother and child are discussing about the OP? Someone that didn't disturb you for 2 years after you guys got married. A controlling mother would interfere immediately after marriage or even before the marriage. Because a mother calls her child for an hour everyday doesnt mean the wife will still not sleep on the same bed with her husband, doesn't mean she didn't get back from work and cook for him, doesn't even mean they cannot spend any meaningful time together. She equally could have spent that same hour of 9-10 pm watching her favourite telemundo and she also will not pay attention to her husband that period. Being a husband or wife doesn't mean your partner fell from the sky, and doesn't have other people who depend on her/him. It's stupid to make a permanent decision over a temporary situation especially when mama never used to be like this. OP should be more concerned about the issues bothering his mother-in-law, and how they can help in their own little way to resolve it. The wife spends roughly 10 -12 hours at work/commuting, 1 hour with her mum for now. The remaining 10- 13 hours is spent at home with her husband. There is still no justification and excuse for it. There mustbe a balance. No matter the challenges her mum might be facing...calling every night and talking for an hour is not the way to go. What challenge is it that takes one hour every night to discuss? Think about it. One hr EVERY NIGHT. My mum inlaw only calls at that time only if there's an emergency and she hardly stays on d phone for long. She is a widow and my husband is the first son which makes him her husband who she discusses everything with but she hardly ever spends up to 30mins. When you get married, there should be respect for your privacy and home by your family even your mum. The fact that she can call in every night doesn't speak well of her. Most families i see in my tribe don't interfer when u are married especially at night when something is supposed to be going down!!. Imagine my husband coming back from work and the time i should be spending with him...i spend an hour of it on the fone with my mum. How ? When the marriage starts crumbling i will kuku go and stay with my mum so that we can have all the time to TALK. |

In foreign countries, putting the child in a car seat is not negotiable. |

Pidgin2: If it was the son, will you say this? Many people will say the lady is wicked and wants to stop her husband from loving and caring for his mother so what is good for the gander should be good for the goose Husband or wife...none of them is exempted. Their mums should not call that often and spend that long on the phone. Their mums have become third parties and should not be allowed to interfer or have a say in the marriage. It's my own orientation of marriage and how my people view marriage. Family should not interfer except in life threatening situations. |

Pidgin2: It seems everything is an issue in marriage. Your mama call you na trouble, your mama no call you na trouble, smh So the mum should call every night and spend an hour. A wise mum should ask about the husband and let the daughter get off the phone to be with him. |
