Education › Re: Accommodating An Insolent Girl by InvertedHammer: 10:27pm On Apr 27, 2021 |
daveyjay: Good day NLers, please I need your take on this. I'm a student in one of Nigeria's prominent public universities.
A girl decided to vie for admission in my school via the predigree programme but she had no accommodation. Because of the relationship between my parents and hers, I offered to take her in from January till now
I offered a roof over her head.
The first night she came, she slept on the floor and I wasn't okay with that, the following night, I told her she could have the bed, I vacated my bed and relegated myself to sleeping on the floor, we can't share same bed since she's neither my babe nor sister. And this sleeping routine has continued ever since then. The floor is my new bed
I gave her my spare key, uncensored access to my kitchen and everything within my legal occupancy. Cut long story short, last week Tuesday she woke up, had her bath, ate then stepped out briefly, when she returned we were outta water. Tap water of course. She called my attention to it to which I remained calm. Meanwhile I hadn't eaten neither had I bathed. At noon, she came to me that she was hungry but couldn't cook due to unavailability of water, I then asked her if I am to fetch her water??!.
She said she was gonn take food stuff to her friend's place (upstairs) to cook. I replied by asking how many of her friends had lacked water and brought food stuff to cook here??!
She got angry and took some money and left
That same Tuesday, I went to see Chelsea game, when I returned, I asked her if she cooked but she didn't dignify me with her attention talk more of a response. I thought it was rude but considered it as one of the many tantrums of ladies
The following morning, she woke up, acted like I don't exist, couldn't greet... had her bathe and left. Returned, unlocked the door, walked in like I wasn't there, ate, left to her friend's place.
On Thursday she repeated the routine, I called her back when she was going out, I asked her if she considered me as her father, brother or boyfriend that she'd wake up and start throwing attitudes... I made her understand that I am her benefactor. Hardly did I finish before she left. She returned and continued in same path and that has continued till this very moment...
Last night she didn't sleep at home, when she returned in the morning, she unlocked the door with her spare, walked in, ate, brushed, dressed and walked out without a single word e come be like say I be ghost.
What I did, I changed the locks, took some stuff, sealed my door with strict instructions to the caretaker then moved to a friends place outside my lodge and I've been there ever since.
She has returned and has been calling my line but I've been ignoring...
Now, is my action too harsh or still in line??! / She wants to be your girlfriend but you are not giving her the attention. I can translate ladies into English. / |

/ Apparently the difference between the people and Nigerian military is the right to bear arms by the latter. Never had military personnel been killed like mere Boys' Scout in Nigerian history. From North to South and East to West, it seems they are sitting ducks.
Instead of being security-conscious, they loiter around the checkpoints and have civilian agents collecting bribes/tolls from drivers. That could be why UGM have been very successful in killing many of them. / |

How can a Nigerian business startup who doesn't have financially strong friends and family to turn to, raise fund for a business idea?

Politics › Re: Ikonso: Nnamdi Kanu And The End Of ESN by InvertedHammer: 10:07am On Apr 25, 2021 |
AbaLion: The killing of ESN Commander in the heart of the operational base of ESN in Imo has not only exposed the tactical weakness of ESN Operatives but also the tactical daftness of Nnamdi Kanu as a leader.
The theatre of ESN which is supposed to be impenetrable given how sensitive as the operational and tactical base of the zone, was torn down by Nigeria security forces and the Commander, Ikonso shot down to his boxer with his charmed vest hanging helplessly around his neck. If your most fortified camp could be broken down fairly easily, then you are Finished!
The Nigerian security are henceforth in possession of some sensitive and substantial details of ESN. Raids including gadgets and sensitive materials linkng ESN networking and other top commanders & staffs and operational information would have been obtained. There's no way a top commander, much less a deputy to Kanu wouldn't have some top secret details in his possession. Everything is now pretty much in the hands of Nigeria Army.
The reason why Nigeria security forces have been having tougher times defeating Bokoharam, Bandits & fulani herdmen is because their operational camps have never been penetrated by the security agencies. What we do witness are occassional random arrests of terrorists & bandits with little or nothing to show.
Going into a terrorist camp is a fight to finish as the case of Idris Deby paying the ultimate price. ESN do not have what it takes to defend its most fortified territory. Although, they could throw back some few punches but would later buck even before the fight began.
A closer look at the arms and ammunition recovered from Ikonso's camp shows the unpreparedness and scantily stocked the so called ESN, other than an empty barrel. With those little stock of arms, they hardly could go a 6 hour shooting spree with the the security agencies. Compare with the fully armed bandits hobnobbing with Gumi, whose ammunition were displayed with intent. Notwithstanding, the full gallery of their arms & ammunition. They have easy access from Libya, Chad, Mali, Niger through the border.
What access do ESN has? the access to attack random road blocks police officers, get them killed and disposses them of their weapons, at most an organized attacks on police stations where large cache of arms were stolen for more attacks. They are landlocked, they are holed up without the privilege of access like the North, the West or their close neighbors, SS. Little wonder, Nnamdi Kanu was so particular about dismantling all road blocks in the South East so that as much arms would come in so easily and unfettered.
With the Nigerian Army in possession of what would further nail IPOB/ESN in the international community, I expect that British Government and her EU allies will revoke the asylum consideration and may likely align with the Federal Government's proscription of IPOB in the wake of overwhelming criminal evidences linking IPOB activities to terrorism less than 24hours to an attack on a Governor's house. While his house was set ablaze, cars burnt, more unfortunately, two of his security aides were killed.
The perpetrators could not be far fetched from the statement by another South East Governor, Ikpeazu, who stated that Nnamdi Kanu had declared death sentence on All the Governors in the South East.
Nnamdi Kanu has been having a handshake across the Ambazonia region of Southern Cameroon from whence he has been getting handouts on how to carry out series of organized violent attacks on Government institutions. Being a man with much words and very little wisdom, he has no political support which creates a wide gulf from his Ambazonia counterpart, who has the support of the socio-political class. Nnamdi Kanu would be rat out from his hole because of his vile vituperations, wild imaginations, and tactless misgivings.
If his foot soldiers could penetrate a Governors house, I think Kanu could have made the most of it by deploying intellectual sagacity rather than being a blood thirsty & destructive beast. The absence and otherwise lack of a think-tank among Ipob's hierarchy complements Kanu and his goons as a money hungry cult.
Following this ugly development, it's high time Ohaneze Ndigbo and Elders crawled out with their red caps and walking sticks to make a loud plea to tie down their recalcitrant ipob kids to a chain and passionately disown Kanu with their full chest, otherwise the righteous dwellers might suffer from the impending consequences.
-Lion / How did the killing of Mohammed Yusuf (founder of Boko Haram) in 2002 become the end of Boko Haram? A tactical leader alone was killed and you are spewing rubbish. Did Al Qaeda die with Bin Laden? Did ISWAP die with the killing of top commanders. There are always willing acolytes ready to fill a void--hallmark of insurgency. / |

Romance › Re: Why I Personally Avoid Girls On Low Cut by InvertedHammer: 4:53am On Apr 20, 2021 |
NiRfreak: From my experience, I've had several shits with them, it may not be enough reason to stereotype them, but I usually try my best to avoid them and not have anything serious to do with them anymore. Some of them may be nice, but I no longer let my guard down to commit to them, I'm always wary and careful around them.
This is why I took this stand:
1. They tend to be somewhat problematic in relationship as if they carry a lot of baggage from their past relationships. Somehow they allow it to get the best of them. . 2. Most of them are carefree, nonconformist, and inflammatory. They will shock you when you least expect. So I tread carefully. . 3. Many of them are lesbian, or bisexual. Most of them that I have encountered are like that...u may not know though if u can't read the tell-tale signs. . The worst among them are the ones with dye on their short hair. My suspicion is almost always right about them. . 4. Most ladies tend to be particular about their hair...many of them who don't give a Bleep about long beautifully made hair are somewhat saying to hell with whoever who doesn't take me as I am. And they usually live by that code, cynical of guys especially. . 5. Many of them are smart though, albiet intelligent, and can also be fun to be with...but under that coolness, hmmm don't take it for granted. least I forget, the educated ones like to be feminist.
6...Some of them are hostile to guys, or let me say they are quite touchy and irritable. . So these are my reasons for avoiding them...and most of them have not given me reason to doubt them.
PS: I have no problem with elderly women who don low cut, I think it's normal for a woman, especially who have seen all fashion, gotten into menopause and have grown up kids....but these young ladies, unmarried, or middle age ladies with hair cut...I stay clear and more careful around them. I no like wahala. . What's your take about them, and what do you think? / You meet a girl who is smart enough not to waste money on bone straight hair and you are complaining? / |
