lol and just like that you have become a conforming slave...you stay silent and they talk to you like they own you. You can take a stand and speak with confidence to defend your point. You should have said when I say it's okay, it means I've heard you. I come from a different culture and as much as I am willing to learn, you need to understand we will be different and that's okay too. You use it as a haha moment to educate them as well.

Bankowner:

I fell into this trap twice telling a client "it's okay" which by my own reasoning meant "I have heard you, there isn't any problem. We should stop discussing it" but the client flared "It's not okay". It was a bit of a culture shock, me thinking I finally understand how to relate with the white folks. This days, I listen more and talk less. That way, I am quickly able to process what they're saying before stringing up a response.

You tell them....women will put on wigs for months and only do simple hairstyles cos they don't even have time to sit for hours for braids. They will say we are forming, but we come home often and we know ...I am glad you have discovered them o.. my UK aunt advised me a long time ago...nothing you send is enough...focus on yourself...I am glad I listened. If you fall sick, they will make fun of you for not having much after staying abroad for so long. Wisdom is enough for the wise...some still insult us on here. We laugh and give thanks.

If they are gathering intelligence and people are telling them no one leaves that house...you think they shouldn't come and investigate...even FBI will investigate you for terrorism if money is coming in from outside of the country and you hardly leave your house. They won't wait till you blow things up..this is why it is important to relate with people around you, so they won't be suspecting you.

Blame the marketers cos I'm sure they buy it less when prices drop. Even when BUA reduces cement prices, middle men sapped it up.

themanderon:
Abegi. What has ever come down in Nigeria after going up? When crude falls at the international market they tell you fuel cannot reduce because Nigeria is not making enough money from crude sales and when it rises they tell you they have to increase prices to reflect current market realities.
Don't fall for the pranks of these rogues in power.
Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Crude Import From US will Increase Prices Of Petroleum Products by MasterTeeUSA: 5:06pm On Feb 05, 2024
IPMAN is always coming out with fuel prices will go up...why are they always always trying to project bad news? I look at the names, and you begin to wonder...What does that mean...import will drive up prices when prices are set at the international market, and crude produces many products...they can make money on some products and reduce prices on other products. That is a business decision, so why are they always trying to pre-empt Dangote Group. IPMAN keeps appearing like the enemy of the people.

you're 10x more likely to die from insecurity in nigeria than you're to go to jail. do innocent people go to jail over there.? you're just trying to pull points from thin air. as if people dont go to jail in nigeria. your chances of going to jail in nigeria is way higher... like 500000% higher. you better accept it now that Nigeria has no future and its racing to the ground. and yes there ARE $500 houses in new jersey. so come up with another bullshit

Properties › Re: How much does it cost to drill (dig) a Borehole, on an average? by MasterTeeUSA: 2:57pm On Feb 05, 2024
What kind of question is this?

Don't you have a survey? Your survey will determine the depth and they charge per meter. It will also tell you how much casings you need which can vary...so maybe you should post your survey and then ask how much it would cost to drill a borehole with this survey. That is the determinant factor.

essentialone:
How much does it cost to drill (dig) a Borehole, on an average?

there is already a tank on the ground.
there is already an overhead concrete scaffold with 1 tank above.
there is already a surface pump that transfers water from the big ground tank to the tank overhead.
also, a 1.5HP submersible pump and switch has also been procured.

From this stage what is remaining to have a complete Borehole, and how much will it cost, on an average?

DeLaRue:
Each of the 36 states can't have its own electricity arrangement. It's just not realistic economically.

That doesn't even happen in the US.

Even assuming each state has its own electricity, how will that stop a coordinated bringing down of electricity pylons given that in a lot of cases these pylons are located in deep forests.

Securing every pylon in Nigeria is clearly impossible.

$100 per day...let me help you...if you work say at $15/hour which is not even the official minimum wage...some immigrants work for less than the official because of no papers...you work 8hours...that is $120...your taxes as a single independent is 25%....so you make $90. You do that for 20 days in a month full time...that's $1800. Rent alone is $1500...maybe you will rent a room for $800, pay electricity $50 if you are sharing, internet $25 if 4 of you are living in the house...then transportation $100...keep in mind you have no health insurance...so we will assume you will never get sick, then you have to pay for food...lets forget special food...you spend $400...you will be lucky to have that $100 by month end. You can also get a 2nd job and work 80hours a week...for how many years before your body tells on you...pray you have enough saved to buy land or build house...and and...if you are illegal without papers to get minimum wage, you are not just messed up, you will be very messed up.

When the aboki came, I realized 100$ was equivalent to 56,000naira.

That's just 1 piece of 100$ bill o. Now, let's assume you are spending in naira, what problems can you solve with 56k and do you know it's very hard to even raise 56k legitimately or even on employment basis?
If you are abroad, you will get jobs that can offer higher than 100$ in a day o.

Someone I supported told me how she will crawl out of bed because all her body aches from working and she is into care work...first 3 months, no jobs and I had to still send rents. The agreement to pay back...she has only made one installment. First house, the roommates refuse to pay rent cos they cant cope with school fees and they were evicted...2nd place, she completed someone's lease and the landlord refuse to renew...went to AirBnB so in less than 1 yr, she has changed accommodations and lived in 3 addresses. Nigerians have no clue. She is lucky we sorted out school fees and all...she said some classmates got school IDs deactivated for non-payment...one got a letter from Home Office for non payment and begging everyone for help...I just laugh cos most people don't understand the reality.

This is actually a good idea...but before then I will support Banks liquidating their dollar bills. If you then need dollars for payment from dorm accounts, you need to do electronic transfers. That way, the Banks do not have to deal with carrying dollar cash. If you are traveling abroad, do wired transfers or money transfers and collect the cash...stop the Banks from hoarding and keeping cash above a small threshold. If that does not work, eliminate dorm account or domicile it at CBN so it can be controlled. My graphic designer was asking me to pay in dollars...like WTF..we can't win the war like this. I have no dorm accounts.
