Gosh ! did anyone notice the soles on Wizkid's shoes ? That's a ladder! only second to the mad derenle |
Rapmoney:As much as I agree with the main focus of this thread, I disagree with this particular quote ! Most of these girls do runs to be seen as 'big' girls amongst their peers, get the latest phones, stay in posh hostels and if possible own a car. You'll hardly ever see a girl sleep around to pay her school fees, so so rare ! |
PassingShot:You are too much !!!!! |
Why is there a gee pee tank in his (sitting) room ? Na there him dey store bunkered crude oil ?? |
TrishaP:Well, from the little I understand, guys definitely don't mind that...... That a Lady chooses to discuss about a guy with her friend is seen as a badge of prowess (as long as it is not derogatory). What guys hate being discussed as is the 'mugus' and 'magas' |
zheroes:You are too talented in using figuratives.....please go to literature section and write a novel ![]() |
queebeediva:Exactly what I wanted to say...... Marriages have issues every time and if you didn't put your big head into the picture, they might have found ways to reconcile. Question is, was the man legally divorced ? |
1one:kai ! Bang on target! SHould you want to contest for presidency, let me know, I'll campaign for you with my own money! |
Those might not be burn scars. Had a lecturer who had such too |
....but that ain't a xmas tree That's not even a tree ! |
I can't even buy a phone from OLX talkless of a maid to cook my meals and take care of my kids !, |
@OP, I won't type my advice here because it would be seen as bad advice. but bottom line is you're 22 and a full fledged adult. The only reason why you're still dependent on your parents is in all likelihood financial. I do not think they should take undue advantage of that. |
Where is Oluchi Onweagba abi wetin b her name again ? |
I am most definitely idi-amin ! |
lalasticlala:Hands down my quote of the year !!!! this guy has got guts ! |
Boss13:You too funny ! lol @ memorandum of misunderstanding. I write MOU for my client projects every other week and I have never yet conjured that phrase before |
dunkem21:Yeah! go back to otuoke and leave Nigeria alone ! |
What those guys did looked bad but frankly its something a Yoruba man or Ibo man could have done to a Hausa man |
MissGdope:Thanks dear for your response. The writers foolishness knows no bounds ! |
Heard about this 'format' sometimes in 2008 na ! |
There are no true atheist ! Agnostic maybe |
Ishilove:Ishilove.....my only love on nairaland since the wasimi days ![]() That was funny though but this takes the cake for me “You see, the way we go about our politics is so funny. What irritates me now is what I see on Television; at the last count, I think somebody was writing in a national paper that they have over 8,000 groups for Jonathan, groups calling on Jonathan to run. I have never seen such an embarrassing thing in my life. Jonathan is a sitting President; he is a member of a political party. You see Pius Anyim, Secretary to Government, saying we have collected 4 million signatures begging Jonathan to come and run; this is a repetition of what happened during the Military – the 1 million man-match. We do not need it now. Have you ever seen a group calling on Obama, please come and run, or on Cameron of the United Kingdom? They just coin all kinds of name, Goodluck to Goodluck, Jonathan to Jonathan, door to door, I mean that is the part of our democracy that we started that is irritating to me.” – Charles Idahosa, Political Adviser to Edo State Governor, is sick of Nigerian politics |
Congrats Blessing. More blessings ..sorry to be the spoil sport but does anyone else thinks she looks more beautiful without the excessive make up ![]()

Great work candy, I woke hope by past 4:am this morning and I've not done anything for the last 4 hrs but read thru. Great Job !! By the way how do you cope with the nairaland mentions feature ? with a moniker like candy, your name will just pop out on mentions indiscriminately even when it doesn't relate to you...... especially them sleazy sexuality and romance threads |
Kirinwa:I don't know if you are trying to defend the indefensible but under no condition should armed men shoot at unarmed students. There are millions of ways to disperse 'volatile' crowds of students without killing them. Am sure these military men would have been trained before handing them guns. This is just a display of wantoness and impunity at its worst |
Am so much in love with casting crown but I think switchfoot should have given them a run for their money |
I had a similar experience about 5 years back around Nyanya in Abuja. I didn't have a car back then and used to travel around with my laptop bag (cos of my proffession) I had traveled to Abj and was to stay in Nyanya and was walking to my lodge along the road O, by the side walk, when I was accosted by two men in a slightly populated area. It was dark so I didn't see them clearly but instinctively I grabbed the shorter, stronger handle of the bag with my right hand while one of the foolish thieves made for the shoulder strap and also used a sharp object to cut my right hand. Without thinking (as a proper Idoani ex-boy) I smashed a punch on his face with my left hand. Partly due to the shock of me attacking back, partly due to the muddy ground (it had rained earlier in the day) the guy just fell yakata has if he had been hit by iron mike tyson. The thieving partner did not even wait to see the rest of the story, he took to his heels like Usain bolts (I was actually shouting all through). The thief on the ground also started making for his exit even before he got on his feet. At the end of the day I just stood their shocked for one or two minute (there was no where to run to, I was on a main road and not a bush part and running might even bring me closer to more dange) So I started walking away while all the passers-by who had earlier taken to their heels were looking at me like some sort of Bruce Lee meets Jackie Chan. Anyway, some of them had the courage to come back and offer their condolence asking did they steal anything ? did they injure you ? (I felt like saying, where were you when I was being attacked ?) They took me to a chemist who treated the cut wound and that was how I escaped my closest shave with robbers as yet. ![]() |

All this big grammar just because your passport needs to be re confirmed ?? na wa o ! or is there somethin am missing from this lengthy article. Nigerians!! sidestepping important issues since 1876 |
My first time of travelling by air was a decade ago. It was a smallish plane. I was a student and an IT attache to the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Olusegun Mimiko who incidentally is now the Governor. I was supposed to prepare a powerpoint slide (which was a big deal back then) for Mimiko's presentation at a conference in Abuja, time ran out so I had to follow him on the trip to complete the slides. Incidentally, that was my first trip to Abuja and my first trip to Northern Nigeria. June 8, 2004 (also the anniversary of Abacha's death) very memorable day for me |
MissMeiya:Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am extremely impressed by this. You must be a very very intelligent person ! Thumbs UP. Please I have a few questions for you MissMeiya * What nationality are you ? * Where were you born ? * Where did you school and what course ? * Wher do you work and what do you do presently. Don't mind my 'plenty' questions just impressed by your knowledge, works and that has made me curious |
