PoliticsRe: Your Views On GEJ's 7am National Address by sharpman1(m): 11:54am On Oct 09, 2012
I am sorry, but the broadcast was a complete joke.

Imagine having a 7am broadcast to announce that a fund raising committee has been set up for a flood that occurred weeks ago. Why can't a press release be issued or have the minister of information or one of the numerous advisers on media to address the press.

No single mention of the recent killing of students in PH and Mubi or even attempting to clear the confusing information the public has been fed about the state of health of his wife.

He did not even look good on TV.....the camera angle was bad, no charisma, no swag.....it was like a comedian in a sitcom.

I am sorry for Nigeria if this is the best we can offer.

Abi o, these guys are funny.

Someone's belonging gets missing after a flight due to the negligence of the staff of the airline and his effort to get back his belonging does not yield fruit until he makes noise about it....then some idiots come here to say all sorts.

Please let the guy be, he has simply shown that you can still get justice even if you are fighting someone bigger than you. Thank God for social media.

I've been taking 7.5 on total gross of our staff for pension. Nobody must know else i'j be stoned to death by angry 'mob'.
Thanx.
Apparently you have also made the the company incur more pension cost as the company is meant to also contribute the same amount (7.5%) deducted from the staff as the employers portion of the contribution.

Foreign AffairsRe: French Magazine Risks Muslim Anger With Mohammed Cartoons by sharpman1(m): 6:21pm On Sep 19, 2012
I got this in an e-mail. Read it, ponder it......

THE MUSLIMS ARE NOT HAPPY!

They're not happy in Gaza ..
They're not happy in Egypt ..
They're not happy in Libya ..
They're not happy in Morocco ..
They're not happy in Iran ..
They're not happy in Iraq ..
They're not happy in Yemen ..
They're not happy in Afghanistan ..
They're not happy in Pakistan ..
They're not happy in Syria ..
They're not happy in Lebanon ..

SO, WHERE ARE THEY HAPPY?

They're happy in Australia .
They're happy in Canada .
They're happy in England ..
They're happy in France ..
They're happy in Italy ..
They're happy in Germany ..
They're happy in Sweden ..
They're happy in the USA ..
They're happy in Norway ..
They're happy in Holland .
They're happy in Denmark .

Basically, they're happy in every country that is not Muslim and unhappy in every country that is!

AND WHO DO THEY BLAME?

Not Islam.
Not their leadership.
Not themselves.

THEY BLAME THE COUNTRIES THEY ARE HAPPY IN!

AND THEN; They want to change those countries to be like....THE COUNTRY THEY CAME FROM WHERE THEY WERE UNHAPPY!

Excuse me, but I can't help wondering...

Well........i was referring to my own sample space at my place of work and on Nairaland. You are about the only person, safe one other guy at my place of work that has inferred that the killings were wrong. Others have only condemned the making of the movie.
Foreign AffairsRe: The Innocence Of Muslims: The Film That Sparked Riots In Libya by sharpman1(m): 5:31pm On Sep 13, 2012
The painful truth is that 90% of muslims are secretly happy about the killings over movie and that says a lot about the religion called Islam.

Fortunately (or unfortunately)....you are the foolish one here....as you are deficient in intelligence, good sense and judgement.
Foreign AffairsRe: The Innocence Of Muslims: The Film That Sparked Riots In Libya by sharpman1(m): 2:49pm On Sep 13, 2012
shymexx: .....and do the thousands of Libyans who died from Nato bombs also deserve to die??

Let me take you back to last year; I saw a video of thousands of black Libyan men from Tawergha in a convoy, heading towards Misrata to defend their city - but what happened?? NATO bombed every single one of them from the sky - and Islamists from Misrata cleansed their city - men, women, and children were massacred for being black, under NATO's supervision... Today, Tawergha(a city of 20,000 black Libyans) is a ghost town...
Ooooo.......so the Americans gave them Ghadaffi........and made him a dictator over them......or forced them to fight him so that they could regain their freedomhuh

Did you forget the same Benghazi was going to be destroyed, with the entire population by Ghadaffi (like what is happening in Syria).

....And that is related to the movie in question.......and the killings over the moviehuh

In your mind now.....you are making sense?

shymexx: I'm NOT a Muslim and I'm definitely NOT a Muslim apologists... Most Muslims of Arab descent and their slaves in Northern Nigeria are disgustingly aggressive but since we all know how they operate and how saying anything about Prophet Muhammad would lead to carnage, why can't we respect them and their religionhuh

The guy who made the scandalous movie is a JEW - how would the JEWS react if an ARAB MUSLIM made a movie about the JEWS faking HOLOCAUSThuh

If the JEWS can't take anything negative about HOLOCAUST before they start labeling people as ANTISEMITIC(whatever the fvck that means) - they have no moral ground to disrespect Muslims and their faith...
........and that justifies the killing of people who know nothing about the movie? Do you see the Jews killing people because some guy, somewhere denied the holocaust?? You surely jest
Foreign AffairsRe: The Innocence Of Muslims: The Film That Sparked Riots In Libya by sharpman1(m): 1:58pm On Sep 13, 2012
The annoying thing is that a lot moslems have not condemned the killing of the American ambassador and the others, they seem to be happy that he was killed. They have only been focusing on the movie.

What of those that were killed innocently?

Clearly, the devil resides in some of these people.

CareerRe: How Did You Succeed With Your 2-2 Or 3rd Class? by sharpman1(m): 6:30pm On Sep 11, 2012
A 3rd class degree is not desirable at all. A 2.2 can still be managed.........but a 3rd class?? The stigma might be on you forever......except you become self employed. Even when you've worked for a while with lots of experience......it might still come up at some point in your career.

Well...........i know some guy with a 3rd class in Engineering. He decided to pursue a career in another field so he after NYSC he decided to write a professional exam in accounting. This exam also came with an option of a BSc after a certain level and the submission of a Research Project. He also took a job as an Audit Assistant in an audit firm, earning just N10,000 per month.

Because of his not too encouraging background, he took the exams seriously and passed his exams in record time...without having to write any paper twice (that's no mean fit if you know about professional accounting exams). He also achieved a First Class grade in the BSc in Accounting that came with the professional exams. Now he's a member to two Accounting bodies, one in Nigeria and the other outside of the country.

He currently heads the finance department of a reputable company in Nigeria and earns a very decent pay (well above industry average and much more than i do). He also trains and facilitates for different organizations.

My point is........a lot of people would never think that he had a 3rd class degree at some point in his life and he was able to forget the setback and move on.

I strongly believe he would have gone much further if he did not make a 3rd class.........but then i also think that if he had made a better grade.......he would probably not be so motivated to do well in the professional exams.
