BluntBoy:You as a woman..lol. I expected it. People always make that assertion. After all, a woman is a fool,an idiot who has no sense and she is expected to be stu.pid The day I forgive that man will be the death of me. Apart from treating our mother badly,Man was cruel to us ,his children. My husband has more important issues to work on. He definitely knows how to mind his business except he doesn't want peace. My father...Hmmmm.He will continue to be miserable, die miserably and be buried like a lizard. Anybody who preaches forgiveness and reconciliation with that devil incarnate will see no good thing. Tellemall:You have said it all. My father is a typical example. It was always about "money, money, money". I'm feeding you. Paying school fees, clothing you..etc. No relationship, no link..Nothing... By the time we all became adults and left home, reality dawned on him. Soon after I got married,my mother divorced him. I and my siblings got her a decent accomodation and set her up. The last time I saw or spoke to him was my wedding day, over a year ago. I doubt any of my 4 brothers have visited or said a word to him. He probably has forgotten the many days and nights he stripped naked our mother, beat her up,called her news. He has forgotten all the abuse ... But we have not. Its still very clear. The resentment and bitterness I feel towards him is second to none. The mere thoughts of him nauseates me Men don't learn...They lose at the end. |
gypsey:You can conclude what you like. You don't know me or my story. I can only say that your daughter, sister or any female you cherish doesn't become unfortunate to be around a man like my father.. He failed(as a father and a husband) and is regretting it now. But its too late. And Yes! Nothing gives me peace and joy as buying my own stuff. I wonder why gifts from a lover freaks women. The first time I got a gift from a lover,I turned it down.He pressurized me to accept it. It was a new phone..An android. I was using a Nokia Asha 200 which was giving me problems. I did not feel very comfortable using the new phoneit wasn't just mine. So I kept it aside, continued with my Asha...Until 2 months later,I got a new phone..An android but cheaper than the gift. It was a long distance relationship kinda.. So he didn't know I wasn't using his phone. It wasn't long,we had an altercation and he said ...Despite buying a phone for you,you should be grateful...I smiled. Some months after,he hit me because I couldn't answer his call as I was in class..didn't know he was already in my hostel waiting for me. When I returned the call,he didn't pick..Got back to hostel, met him and he pounced on me in the presence of my colleagues. I called off the relationship and next thing was "Let me have my phone back.Gimme my phone"... I was expecting it. I handed over his phone as new as it came over 3 months earlier...He was shocked and refused to accept it. Lol... I told him I didn't use it because of a day like this. He took back his phone and that ended it. I don't get carried away by gifts. Because I know there is a thin line between love and hate. I also learnt from my parents. Anything I didn't buy with my money is not mine and I cannot get too comfortable using that thing. |
Typical of what my father would do. I was a teenager when I vowed I will work hard and be able to afford stuff I need without a man. When I saw the way my father quickly collected things he bought for my mum whenever they had any quarrel. At the slightest thing,he would seize her phone, stop her from driving his car, stop her from eating even after giving her money to cook..He would carry her food with the plate and dispose in the waste bin. The one that broke the horses back was when he set her box of clothes on fire..because he bought the clothes. My parents marriage was painful to witness But I learnt a very important lesson. Thank God for me today. Car that I bought as a spinster..A man is going to beat up his ex wife and collect a car of 2 years... Women, please leave what society says and work hard. Make money and be contented with what you can afford. Personally,Gifts never freak me. I believe anything I didn't buy by myself can be collected from me tomorrow. |
Christmas is approaching. They have started. |
Why rape? Many Nigerian women are crazy about uniformed men. When I worked with the Air force as a civilian staff, female Corp members, civilians in and outside the base were throwing themselves on the soldiers, even fighting one another because of soldier's preeq. You could point at the ladies who had nothing to do with these soldiers...And we were seen as weird. My disgust for uniformed men(military and paramilitary) remains till date |
Emma4321:You call this slavery a job? 11K salary As a lady, the least I ever earned was 90K and that was during my service year.Yet it was barely enough. Quit the madness please |
Lovelyn451:The reasons are 1.What will people(society) say? 2.Lack of good financial standing to survive alone I had a patient(a 3 year old girl) whose father was sexually abusing..By poking his fingers in her private part, forcing her to svck his joystick. When we decided to involve the social unit and take up the case,it was the mother who refused. Said she wasn't ready to lose her marriage, hence she will send the little girl to go live in the village with her grandmother. That girl was her first child. She was nursing a baby boy. Women will do anything to stay in a marriage. That is what society expects |
When we tell them that a man's joystick has no conscience, they will start arguing. Where is that matured lady who took offense because her mother asked her to stop sitting on her father's lap? Come and read. Nigerian fathers are becoming more irresponsible, not only in refusal/inability to provide for their families..They have extended their promiscuity to their blood daughters. Mothers,Be very vigilant . Advise your daughters. No man should be trusted. Every man is a suspect including their biological fathers |

Lol... Its Alabi that will shoot you. Watch your back |

madridsta007:That's nice. Well,I had classes at Samson Academy and paid for an accommodation close to the academy I left Nigeria last week. Just got an offer in Norwich(NHS). |
Nigeria is a joke. After the Minister of Health, who is a medical doctor, said doctors are too many in Nigeria. A time willbcome,Nigerians will go to hospital and there will be no doctor to attend to them All roads lead to UK,Canada,US,Australia and other sane climes. |
madridsta007:Manchester,actually. I stayed there for 1 month preparing for my PLAB 2 |
Why drinking from the calabash? Let them not initiate her ooo Or use her skull for mining business |

namiji2598:His wife is not Hausa. She is from Calabar,Cross river state. He divorced his first wife(Hausa) to marry this new lady |
When you advise them to at least be financially stable, with reasonable source of income before getting married/cohabiting to bring children into this cruel world... They will say NO. And start telling you how marriage comes with blessings. How God will provide for their children. Next thing, they are sending their children to go live with relatives or even strangers as maids. |
I'm surprised this is an issue. I thought guys don't feel bad if their friends get involved with their babes. I thought the guys usually cheer each other over bottles of beer while rubbishing the girl and calling her a who.r.e. Or are things changing in this Next level? Abi na ordinary bragging una dey do? |
The story is not complete. For all 7 children to abandon their father. There is more to it. |
I have no pity for young men and women who are joining the military today. |
Marriage list is not a new thing. Our fathers paid more than this Everything in that list isn't up to a million naira. Besides, the fun of it is in the bargaining. Bargain ,according to your power. If they say bring 100,you provide 20 Bring 10,you provide 5 Nobody will beat you Wonder why people are making a big deal out of nothing just to give bachelors reasons to continue being irresponsible |
heed101:Looks Good |
Davash222:Is 33 not a evening newspaper? Even those without disabilities .how much more one in a wheelchair |
