I dont think this true. The USA doesn't have a national vehicle registration yet this isnt an issue. A car thief would have to provide ownership information before registering car in snother state anyway. Lastly you would check the vin number to see if car stolen.

A Nigerian woman identified as Nneka with the Twitter handle,‏ @SheLovesArtemis has cried out after she received a notice from her landlord on the increase of her rent from N550,000 to N1 million in Bariga area of Lagos state.

The letter sent to her by Chukwunonso Ikenna Chambers titled, “NOTICE OF UPWARD REVIEW OF YOUR RENT” states that her landlord to the apartment she lives on Bariga Lagos wishes to notify her that her annual rent has been reviewed upwards to N1,000,000 per annum.

“You are required to notify us in writing not later than 7 days from your receipt of this letter of your willingness to continue with the tenancy at the expiration of your current term of the rate at the new reviewed rent.

Note that we shall regard it as a termination of your tenancy if you do not express your affirmation of willingness to continue at the rate of the reviewed rent when your tenancy expires by first quarter of next year” it read in part.

She took to her social media page to share the notice letter she received.

How long ago this incident took place? He should try and go.back to the bus station perhaps he will recognize the cab/driver. He can also report to the bus station management, there are cameras around, they might come in useful.

Hi guys,I have a somewhat bizzare story but I promise this is true and not in anyway is this person trying to beat d system. so my cousin who got a 6 month visa to the Uk for his plab2 exam,hailed a cab from Manchester bus station to his hotel,when he got out to pick his box from d trunk.the driver zoomed off with his school credentials,international passport etc(he still doesn’t know if it was intentional).he has done his exam yesterday but needs a valid passport and visa to verify is it possible for a new passport and visa to be issued to him while in the Uk? Does he have a personal bank account separate from his business account? Does he pay himself a monthly stipend out the business profits? What are his monthly expenses like and what is is left after the expenses from his monthly stipends (disposable income)? Answering these questions and more would help greatly.

ECOs always frown at a budget which is more than twice the applicants monthly disposable income.

They also frown at dipping hands into business funds for leisure travels. All in all, he must prove to the ECO that whatever funds he's prese ting must be available to him for the duration of the trip without affecting his business or fall back savings. That's the real ties to home country they want to see.

I’v Been going through the enormous/helpful informations here but I am still confused via the issue of finance; my bro is a business man (registered). He plans to stay for 15 days. My questions are:

•Is £2000 an acceptable budget for the timeframe?

•Again, being a business man, stating his income accurately can be tricky/difficult.

•How can all this be accurately deduced from his account statement?

Oga. To borrow to fix potholes is madness. How long does it take to repay the interest thoughtless of the principal. 5 years, 10 years, 15 years. In that time will other potholes not have developed.... It is like borrowing N100 naira to eat a single meal that will take you one week to repay. How many other meals will you require in that week. That is madness.

You borrow to create the wealth to buy several meals, pally.... or you will be in poverty forever. You borrow not even to buy a farm but to increase your acreage from 1 to 2 so that you can be guaranteed many meals and sell produce to return the money.

Nigerians donot even know what is right or wrong borrowing. These guys love to borrow for 'contracting' simply because contracting is the only avenue for condensing funds to steal. Contracting is the only way long term developmental aspirations can be grappled with our notorious short term mentality.

That is why typical governments will not patch a pothole for N1,000 tax naira but leave it to decay to become a 1 billion dollar project loan tomorrow and the list is endless. From refineries to roads and railways, condensing today what should be done incrementally on 'citizen' power gradually and deliberately.

They know what to do but corruption will not permit it. China did not develop to become what it is today on loans from anywhere. The people developed that country brick by brick over time. Same with America and much of Europe.

What are we doing with the resources we have and how effectively are we deploying it to 'START-UP' Nigeria. Oga. You will be sick to your stonach to discover just how many loans have been taken to bring our refineries back from the dead in the past 20 years, still....

This should be a good lesson to those thinking having huge sum of money in their account is all that the ECO needs to see to grant a visa... No you must be able to defend the source of the funds and how it is available for your use for vacation.

Though you had such inflow, it's clear that most if not all are funds for your business (not profit) or hedged funds for the purchase of cocoa etc. You need to show what you earn monthly as your personal income and also what your disposable income is... This is what is available for your trip. From this you create a budget which must not be more than 2 months of your disposable income.

Damage control time, you need to come out clean to the ECO in your next application. Your agent misrepresented you and you being novice fell for it but the letter you sent on your own behalf nko shows you were in on it but if you can prove that you are innocent, then good to go else be prepared for a ban

The DSS official left the court room and waited for him outside the court.

Blackmailing government enforcement agencies was how our nation went into decay. It wont work this time. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

It appears everyone in that drama was part of the drama club. They harassed a Court officer who wanted them out as they were disrupting another court case. A Lawyer who looked bemused with the whole drama was lost for words.

Drama has not helped Dino Melaye. It has not helped Olise Metuh. Drama has not helped Orji Uzo Kalu.

Drama will not help Sowore because Once you dramatise a lie to the members of the public to attract sympathy, you lose all of that sympathy when they find out you have misled them.

I'm also of the opinion that the police look into these videos, (I have watched four) and charge those who deliberately misled the general public on this issue.
