Seer247: Truth be told, I think its not that easy to get a CRS of between 420 and above unless with Msc. I tried calculating my point using the criteria with my Bsc and over 3yrs experience having assumed IELTS of CLB9 am still having about 430. Age 33 and single applicant or am I leaving something out. Pls any contrary opinion. Even with a score of 420, there's still a chance. The recent trend has seen decreasing cut-offs. The whole of April-May saw some sub 420. So, I wouldn't hesitate putting myself in that pool even with a 420. |

chybaz: Hi.. Good morning to you. Can you kindly direct me. I have a transcript that is addressed elsewhere not to IQAS or WES. Should I use tear it open and scan it. And can I omit transcript and only scan and send my degree result only. I only know that transcripts is sealed and sent via mail to a particular address by my almamata.(as I have always done before now)
Pls help with clarification. I don't seem to understand this. I send only my degree result to WES, photocopy. While my school sent the transcript. Read the FAQ on their site to get more info. |

GlitteringStar: Hello cochtrane,
The point he is trying make is that one should be careful (Osemigho used the clause "except the person that will help you pay is your direct family or friend, don't pay anyone to pay it for you"). Most times, the so called 'friends' do use stolen credit cards and co. Someone (@DatechMan) had the same issue here sometimes ago.
https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/579#57901195 Okay, I understand. Thanks. I think it's important the person paying is trustworthy. Doesn't matter if she is family or friend or distant relation. |

Osemigho: Except the person that will help you pay is your direct family or friend, don't pay anyone to pay it for you.
The only reason I am battling with IQAS now was because I did proxy application fee payment in April and the payment was cancelled by the payer.
I had to send a money order in May and the money order was acknowledge in June. So, Use my case to learn and never ever pay by proxy.
I now have a domicially account for any international payment and thank God GTbank limit is now $1000 usd which is even more than the EE application fee too. Go and get a GTBank card if necessary. If the reason you are battling with IQAS is because your payer cancelled your payment and not because one can pay via proxy, it doesn't mean that doesn't work. Several people have done same and it worked for them. |

Saintp: please guys, Can I tell someone in Canada to pay for my WES or IQAS evaluation with thier own funds? Is it possible? If yes, will I have to register and give them my log in details to make the payments? Yes you can have someone in Canada pay. I have seen numerous cases on this thread where this was done. Apparently, if it's someone you trust you sure can give him your login details. https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/216#51371178 |

Horticulturist: Dear All, I have been an ardent follower of this thread. Thank you so much for your contributions thus far.
I do have some enquiries with respect to claiming points. My husband ran his Msc program (full time) in Ghana. The program was structured to accommodate the working class such dt lectures ran from 5pm -9pm daily i.e Mondays thru Fridays.
He was also able to secure a job and work full time (between the hours of 8am to 5pm) for 1year on attachment from his school.
He was also able to obtain a reference letter from his employer during this period.
My question is, can he claim full time points for the 1year experience he acquired whilst pursuing his Msc.
Please note..I have done some independebt research and also ruminated over this issue...but at this point, I seem to be stuck.
Kindly advise. Thank you very much... Evidently, one of those tasks has to be part-time, irrespective of how it's described. And to me, it looks like it's the MSc that was part-time. But if this has been evaluated as equivalent to a Canadian masters, then I'd believe it's okay. On their website, in order to claim full time work experience he'd need to work at least 30 hours a week. So definitely, I think you can claim full time work experience. In this case it's about 45 hours a week for 1 year, so that sounds good. He just needs to ensure the reference letter describes in detail what's required by CIC. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp |

MRSDA: Good evening house. I have a job listed for my hubby that we cannot get reference for, is it ok to delete from employment and just leave under personal history? Hubby thinks we should leave as it is and he will only write a letter of explanation in the place of the reference letter.
Also for police certificate, are we meant to scan all the pages including the thumb printed part? Just got that done today....now almost done with collating documents...ahhhhh LOL For your second question, some people scanned with the thumb printed part. Some didn't. It depends on you, really. But if you have it, why not add it. Doesn't hurt. Good luck. |

XX01: I need a little help. I am preparing my reference letter template to send to HR. Can it be addressed to "Canadian Embassy"? I don't want to tell them it's for immigration purposes and they won't do a "To whom it may concern"letter. This is a tricky one. In the case your coy doesn't want to address "to whom it may concern", the general advice is to use the address in quote. I'd just go one on it and say you can modify to the below in order to remove any immigration suspicion. Ultimately, though, you owe it to your employer to know that you may be migrating. Don't you think? Central Intake Office (CIO) IRCC, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. Maybe someone else has a better idea. Mine was addressed to "To whom it may concern". However, I think you can just address it to:
Central Intake Office (CIO) Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
This is where all PR application go to first before it is either sent to local Visa Offices or Central Processing Centre in Ottawa. |

funshobabs: Thought as much. I just saw 320k on a page. If so then, if application doesn't go up then points for the draw will drop. The last draw was 441. Going through CIC page I noticed that most of this year's points were low compared with previous years. I am forecasting that as from September, there will be a significant reduction in the points needed to secure an ITA, points might go as low as 400 sef. I doubt it'll go lower than 400. Bsc with a good IELTS score always takes the applicant above 400 but below 440 or so. I think that's where it might stay. Just my thoughts. |

Abby2017: The bolded is wrong sir/ma,
Uploading certificate is requirement for e-APR and people's submission have been returned for incompleteness here for forgetting to add 1 or more certificate that they claimed points for, it is the transcript that is optional.
But like you said, poster should be fine with submitting statement of result. Yes you are correct. Just looked a bit more on their website. However, I did say I could be wrong. |

crazyinlove: Ok. Thanks dear. I appreciate If you look through the requirements on their webpage, they actually need those who studied in Canada to produce as proof certificates, diplomas, etc. But for foreign credentials, they need an ECA and then proof of study. There's no explicit demand for a certificate. If WES found a statement of result sufficient as proof, I see no reason CIC shouldn't find same as sufficient. I hope this helps. Good luck on getting your PPR.

Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by cochtrane(m): 8:32am On Aug 08, 2017 |
crazyinlove: Hi dear, No its not for WES. Its actually for the eAPR. I tried to look into your question. From what I can gather, CIC simply wants you to provide an ECA. Typically, this should be sufficient since it already proves that your education is equivalent to a Canadian degree. Chikena! However, people go ahead to add certificates, statements of result and sometimes transcript to the application. Which isn't bad, but in real sense just superfluous. I may be wrong sha. But if you don't have the certificate, there's not much you can do. You should go ahead and submit the statement of result. I believe you'll fine. WES after all accepted same without raising an eyebrow. |

funshobabs: Good morning to everyone,
please does anybody know the maximum number of PR issued every year to immigrants? Thank you. There is no maximum, though they typically keep it under 500,000. I think highest ever has been less than 300k. Not sure though. Why do you ask? |

crazyinlove: Good morning all,
Does it matter if a husband submitted Degree Certificate and the wife submit Statement of Result (both included WES Report)
Thanks Do you want to submit this for evaluation with WES? Then yes, some people who didn't have certificates submitted statement of results and still got their WES evaluated. Of course, school still needs to send transcript. I'd suggest you send an email to WES to enquire after this. They'll reply you quickly. |

Ronnygold: Seniors in the house, please I need answer to this question. God bless! If what I've read previously on this thread is correct, that shouldn't matter. VOs are after all people like you and me. One can get married as a banker and later move on after marriage to becoming an engineer. There's nothing set in stone. The most important thing is to ensure you have the experience duration for the NOC you claim and your reference letter should testify to that. And I'm not a senior. I'm a junior junior. Read through some of the details I shared and I'm sure you'll find even more useful info. |

Homguy: Homguy: Good day friends, I have been following this thread for a while due to my intent to migrate to Canada when possible. I and my fiancee have written the IELTS exam. We passed very decently (8 /9). However, as a pharmacist in Nigeria, is it compulsory i do a qualifications assessment before applying to the pool?
Secondly, i have a friend in Canada whose willing to stand as a relative, however, he is really a family friend. My question is would the difference in our family names be a problem? And would i be required to migrate to the same city he is in? Thanks
