These are really trying times. Ever heard of the straw that breaks the camel's back. A lot of things could be wrong at the same time n then, gbam, a little incident tips the individual over the edge. GboyegaD: It is well. There are so many psychiatric cases in Nigeria however, we hide under the guise of religion. The earlier we start teaching our people to seek help, the better for us as a nation. Who takes snipper just because of an argument? |

Nah, not buying it DesChyko:
Since most private schools are patronized by families that live on somewhere below the middle class income range, I think I have a pretty good idea how they make their payments.
Some parents pay early on. Some pay after the first fee drive. Some pay in parts when they get salaries. Some pay whenever those sponsoring the child's education send the money. Some wait until exam time to pay. And some will still not pay that term. And the school will still consider some pleas too. So 96% is a really unrealistic number. I'ld go with 50% at most.
What you should insist on instead is the school management seeking other possible ways to ensure their staff get paid. |

Well said. Agree with you. bukatyne: I read so much breaking up and coming back that I am wondering why your life is so easy to enter and exit.
Put a premium on yourself and tell him to move along.
And I don't know why you are blaming him for meeting the rapist. He didn't hook you up with him nor forcefully dragged you to the point of the crime.
You need to take a breather, take care of yourself and look out for a worthy man.
Goodluck. |

Let's get it clear, he's not your friend. You must be deluded to think C with all his nasty attributes is your friend. He's verbally abusive over the internet, what do you think a relationship with him in person will be like?
Second, girl you need therapy, loads of it. You need to get back your self worth. You are incredible and valuable and whole all by yourself. You don't need to attach yourself to people that'll break you just because hes a man.
N my own personal opinion, put more premium on yourself. Set high standards for yourself esp when picking significant others.
Wishing you love and light. |

I thought I was the only one shook by such a generalization. sharpman1: No one said anything about six figures.
You said 80k (is 80k six figures?) and that was what i was addressing. How can you say 98% of Nigerians living in the US never held a job paying $80k? Are you a joker?
I understand that a six figure salary is a lot but saying 98% of Nigerians earn less than 80k means the people you know are illegals or don't have the capacity to earn above 80k. |

Maybe first generation immigrants in the US fall in this category but definitely not their kids. planetx: 98% of Nigerians living in the US have never held a job paying $80,000 per annum or more, lol keep deceiving yourselves. Most Nigerians in the US are either driving uber, amazon or if they are females nursing aid or maybe a nurse. Vast majority are average, the only saving grace is the terrible exchange rate. |

Interesting, what do you do? sharpman1: Lol. You don't know what you are saying.
I am a black youth and migrated in August from what you call a "shit hole" country. I don't even have green card yet.....just an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) It took me 4 months to get the EAD and i started work within a month of getting the EAD. Your 5 to 10 years is a fallacy. Only for illegal immigrants. I am not doing a menial job. I earn that range of 5k to 10k monthly and the job is even almost an entry level role....imagine if i change jobs after six months of US experience.
Guy, that koko they told you is not really the koko. |

That part when people can feel comfortable blaming toddlers for rape is really scary. Ofcourse they are seductive from the womb to the insane which makes them punishable by being raped but not exactly raped. Psychos cococandy: Someone posted this the other day on the internet. Would it be surprising if that poster has a Nairaland account spewing the same type of drivel?
The most dumbfounding bit of it was obviously highlighted but was there any bit of his post that is not classic NL rape apology script? Indecent dressing, music, etc. everything but the rapist is the cause of rape.
See what we are up against on this issue of rape? It’s a tiring battle. |
