but she can't leave her banana island and stay with the man she want to marry on tomatoes island! unless that man is living close to her on banana island. but peradventure she got married, will she sell her banana mansion huh
/
She doesn't have to sell the house after all some people have many houses. She can live in the house with her husband but it has to be a gradual process amongst which will include relocating her family. Na there real war will come. Imagine Laura moving out of Banana island. She will probably commit suicide.

The biggest challenge is knowing who is in it for the money and who is in for love. Every suitor is a suspect. Such is life. You are poor--wahala. You are rich-- wahala

hehehe I know right....another older lady, happily single and approaching 50....

Coming from the young one who is probably going to get pushed by society into lowering standards and ending up as a severely frustrated married individual all in the name of doing right by society even at the cost of your own happiness. Happy married life dear kiss

Again, I'd rather be single and happy than be married and miserable. Cheers!!! grin
True talk.

Until you hit 30.

No human is an island. The pressure may start from your family first. No lady has ever fought and won "marriage" pressure in Nigeria. If you win outside, can you win within yourself. Successful? There are millions more successful than you will be that are married. So you will have no excuse. Your mama will wail about "grand children"; pastors will claim marine husband; your father will blame his enemies; enemies will say it is a family curse.

My dear, pray that "single at 40" is not your portion.

This is where reality meets fantasy.

It will be very difficult for Linda to marry.

The people that can afford her in Nigeria are the ones with daddys' money. Such people tend to be immature.
If she marries for love, the husband should be open for insolence.

She can marry an oyibo, an international footballer or worst case scenario, find a stable Nigerian living outside the country away from the inquisitive minds of her blog visitors and amebo folks. Na real wahala.

People are very annoying.

If they withdraw their wards from the school, the school will run out of business and close down.

Nigerians are so daft that even when they have the power, they will refuse to exercise it. The people are very comfortable in playing victims and complaining even when there are better alternatives.

Good for them.

On the flip side, they'd better be ready to lend one another money that they don't have. He who pays the piper determines the tune.

The West May probably turn off their IMF and World Bank loans tap. And worst case scenario place sanctions and embargo on Nigeria oil until the fat lady sings.

Africa as a continent has refused to grow intellectually, politically and economically. They are beggars and beggars we know have no choice.

Fr. Mbaka should have seen this coming.

If all the disciples and apostles were persecuted...

If Christ himself was nailed to the cross for speaking against Rome and Pontius Pilate....

What makes him think he can speak the truth and be spared in the land of hypocrisy called Nigeria?

When did Chris Uba become Ifeanyi Uba?

Both are not even related. Chris is from Uga. Ifeanyi is from Nnewi.

Mr. Aluko mentioned Chris Uba and not Ifeanyi. The same Chris that led a team of military men to Ekiti during the election. Did Ifeanyi listen to the interview or he relied on hearsay?

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing....Edmund Burke

Catholic church does not speak for God. The history of Catholicism is littered with oppression, money laundry and murder.

Fr. Mbaka accepted his transfer in good faith. Why all the wailing? Transfer of priests is a common practice in the Catholic church even though the timing is suspicious. The present day Nigeria needs a few good men to stand up. The mess is not going to clean itself. Everyone believes that Nigeria is rotten but no one is willing to bell the cat. The few that muster the courage to challenge the status quo are greeted with opprobrium from the same hoi polloi that they are fighting to liberate from emotional, physical and psychological servitude.
As Harriet Tubman succinctly put, "I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed more if only they knew they knew they were slaves."

In my candid opinion, Nigerians should be left alone until the weakest links die off--survival of the fittest. The remaining people will then adapt accordingly. It is very disheartening seeing folks chastised because they are trying to save people who do not want to be saved.

By the time they are done with Nigeria, it will be 1$ = N1,000.

When Lagarde visited Nigeria, I knew that "Economic hitmen" are on the prowl.

Goods will be priced in at 1$ = N300 from next month and the economic mismanagement sins of GEJ will come to surface.

Common oil in their backyard, freaking Nigerians cannot refine in this 2016.

Kudos to Nigerians whose lot in life is pursuit of happiness and mundane materials.

Colossal waste of brains! Nigeria is a true reflection of Blacks mentality.

Nigerians are plain stupid.
GEJ was a colossal failure as a president and a leader. Some people were gasconading about the international awards he is winning in recent times as if awards mean anything. That's the job of PR firms to find hungry, mushroom organizations to give out awards in an effort to launder a battered image. Guess what? They make millions of dollars doing it. They are not doing it for free.

If international awards mean that much, Kaitlyn Jenner wouldnt win "Woman of the Year" award for sex change surgeries. It takes a couple of people to make a decision on who wins the awards depending on what agenda they are pushing. $10k will get anyone a decent award. But heck! Throw an American ( especially a Caucasian) in the picture and Nigerians will go gaga. That's the same thwarted mentality of inferiority complex that made Rochas put a billboard with Obama in Owerri. A typical African fellow always needs the rubber stamp approval of whites to feel complete.

Politics › Re: A Vehicle With "BIAFRA" As Number Plate In The US Spotted By A Nairalander by InvertedHammer: 8:58am On Jan 30, 2016
OPCNAIRALAND:
Ibo, you love my input, stop pretending. Let me lecture you on the OP point and US Marine Force.

I once saw a car in a parking lot with a face cap emblazoned with an insignia that says ex- US Navy SEALS. Instantly I reminded myself that whoever owned this car was a black man. In America, their politics is along color line....ours in Nigeria is along ethnic line.

Soon enough he stepped out of the store. He didnt need to approach the car for me to know this is our SEAL dude. His attitude and swagger is loud and broadcasted who he was, without saying a word.
He was young and healthy, a perspective not to ignore for his current status.

SEALs are indoctrinated and groomed on siege, camouflaging, staying in the bacground, discreet, endurance, humility and hiding identity.

If you can be identified as a SEAL in public you are an endangerement and risk to the corps, your service ends! This would explain why at such young age and fit he was an ex.....they kicked him out for public display and lack of discretion.

This says much about your Marine Biafran. Who cares if he is Marine or security guard, who gives a dam.n that he is both Marine and a Biafran? The two aspects put together as a combined force is meaningless unless you are armed and facing an enemy.

A Marine is lethal only when armed with a lethal weapon. The Marines posted to Mogadishu were humiliated and America had to evacuate them before the Somalis would kill em all off.

The Marines stationed in Fallujah had to back off after months of failed air and ground assault that exposed their vulnerability and demystified their superiority in combat.

So parading yourself as a Marine and a Biafran is a big risk. Tell your brother to humble his ego and take cue from other Nigerians who served, and are still serving in US Marines and do so incognito!
/
You are all talk.

If you pass through what these Marines pass through in Afghanistan and Iraq you won't be here typing bullshit. Marines and Navy seals are mortals too. Of course, there will always be casualties. But don't make light of the duties they perform during war.

By the way, there is nothing risky about parading oneself as a marine in USA and driving vanity Biafra plate. Stop being ignorant. Granted that the owner of the truck might not be in active service. If there is a problem, he would be called to order. Otherwise, stop speculating and posting nonsense. He is driving the truck in the open and heaven is yet to fall.
