Is the child you knew about before you got married or the or you didn't know about? Didn't it occur to you that there was that possibility that she might someday want to stay with her mum? Talk about financial means, if you don't want to bear the child's financial burden, her mum is there and she also had a dad. Either way, you are turning a non-issues into a very big issue. I don't think you have thought about this without sentiments before saying no. You are overthinking it. NairalandFAYOSE: being with the mum means being with me. I don't think I want that. have read so many comments here where people are calling me names and saying am selfish without even considering if I have the means to take care of her plus my kids. but no one is blaming the useless father who abandoned her daughter because he is married. I know for sure my woman won't take it if its the other way round.
I only seek advice and if you want to blame me, I will say you should first put yourself in my shoes |

I don't think Waje is a good employer either. If she didn't mention studies and exams before accepting the Job, it is on the girl not Waje. Waje should have paid her salary and provided her with Insurance. To think I used to like her skentelelady: It still boils down to the kind of boss. Is your friend not aware of the present US administration to migrant? I know of a family that has been travelling to the US for summer vacation had their visa renewel denied. Visa application has become tight even to European countries. Most foreign countries ambassadors are significantly reducing the number of visas they grant per year. I believe there is an order to that effect. resurgent2019: He told me his answers to the questions asked by the VO. They were professional questions replied with standard answers. |

You have a point there. She asked for time to study not to write exams. She admitted that she took the job because she thought it will give her time to study. Maybe, she should have resigned when she realised that she can't study and as well work as a PA. The job was not convenient for HER! She deserves some casual leave. However, we both know that employers will not grant leave the same month you started work. skentelelady: What are u saying? So as a PA she can't have access to casual leave? If she didn't come for 2 days, would waje not live? She's a human being too so she needs to be considered.
I worked with top organisations in Nigeria as an executive assistant and I was entitled to medical care and casual leaves (exams) apart from annual leave
Waje can't be that busy not to give casual leave. I think she has interrelationship issue and she's not they type that pays well so she finds excuses to lay off her staff
She should deal with it |

No, I am not in support of slavery but if you are taking a job as a PA. You should at least have an idea what it is going to be like. She should have ironed it with her before taking the job. So I am not in support of Waje not paying her salary nor do I think denying her lunch break is ideal. gypsey: I hope you are not in support of this glorified slavery called PA. |

Why would you take PA role because you wanted time to study? Also, why would she foot your medical bills? Was it part the terms of your employment?
You really need to understand what being a PA is all about. It is not a walk in the park and it so not the best job role to give you time for studies.
However, I admit she is callous if she refused to pay you after working for one month. |
