Somebody with obviously a bad hand writing, sat down somewhere near a Mama put kiosk, concoct names from the moon and pass it off as Senators in support of Saraki.
This Akpabio defection really entered this Regional Ipob party called PDP... Nigerian politicians have a penchant for overheating the political space. The list displayed here lied against itself in it's introductory part by saying "we the undersigned" whereas signatures were not appended. Politicians and propaganda are like 6 and 7. |

MachoKid: No. Their parents migrated at some point to France, gave birth to them in France (at which point they become automatic citizens). From the point of birth, the dynamic excellence of the France's advanced amenities, opportunities and the systemic grooming of their talents was put at their disposal and they emerged to be all they can be. Just the way my dad migrated here to the USA in the early 60s to study at Howard University in Washington D.C, met my mom, they gave birth to me and siblings and from that point of our automatic birthright citizenship, we benefited from America's systemic excellence in advanced amenities, education, opportunities, grooming of our skills etc. Today we are all successful in our different endeavors and will proudly lay our lives down for America who gave us all we needed to be all we can be. The moment Nigeria starts to give its highly resourceful, creative, and innovative natural born citizens all they need to be all they can be, Nigeria will occupy its currently empty seat at the table of world powers. Well said. |

lordtosan: Much as I hate Buhari's administration and the man himself, I think this statement by Ben Bruce is "nationally wrong' and not good for our development. Ben Bruce must be seen as an enemy of the state.
Yes, the past government started it but the project would have been a deserted ruin if this present government had turned it's face away. The man who completes a task deserves the better share of the accolades. And that's what Buhari has done. This statement by Bruce has the potential of discouraging continuity in governance which in turn will stifle development. Lets not allow our party affiliation and political loyalty stagnate our progress.
Goalscorers covert chances created by other players to goals and take much of the glory even though they might not have been involved in the build up play. Yet their names get put in the scorer sheet and they get praised for the goals without which those created chances would have been a total waste.
Thata being said and this notwithstanding,
BUHARI MUST GO!! Kudos to you and any other person who is able to separate politics from patriotism/ national development. One of the drawbacks of the Nigerian political landscape is that some people do not mind cutting their nose to spite their face. With statements like this one credited to Ben Bruce, we should all understand why successive governments abandon projects that aren't initiated by them. |

Sadly, this is not about Nigerians taking their country back. This is about the thieving elites coming together to wrestle power from Buhari and share the spoils of war afterwards. I pray for the day that ordinary Nigerians will come together to take the country back from the thieving elites. They came together to oust GEJ now they are coming together to oust PMB. I believe that the scammed business partners as well as the sacked employees have relatives & friends who can start a campaign for boycotting Airtel services? The only way forward?? Restructuring Nigeria!!!!
FTC! . Very aptly put. Nigerian politicians are mostly criminals who maintain some seemingly clean businesses to cover their tracks. If I was a security operative I will leave these criminals to keep neutralizing each other before some factions would come and accuse me of framing their own when they know that the person actually committed the crime. We keep shouting persecution without thinking about the cache of arms that are being intercepted by customs regularly. For every container of arms intercepted 10 have escaped, given the porous nature of our borders. The million dollar question is this: "Who are those bringing these arms in?" |

He understands African football better than any white coach we've had in recent memory. Do you remember Lars Lagerback, it was the same sentiment that made us hire him but he could not deliver. I guess we are too much in a hurry for results; otherwise why can't we engage Siasia, Okocha or any of these ex-international on a contract of 5 years and provide the necessary support. What is Rohr's pedigree? If we want a foreign coach we should go for the top ones and pay them basic living expenses while the bulk of their emolument which will be pre-agreed will be paid after getting us to at least quarter finals in the world cup otherwise they forfeit that. |

We must face the present government and stop making reference to others that committed culpable offenses and went free. If we keep protecting these guys because he's your guy Nigeria will never be great. Political office holders must start being responsible. If they fail we must crucify. That FAYOSE got away with it doesn't mean we'll let FAYEMI or any other person get away with. That Jonathan failed doesn't mean we'll excuse Buhari for failing. Let's start getting it right please. Stop protecting these guys. I believe a lot of reasonable Nigerians will not protect any politician who attempts to mess up with us. However, it is difficult to take Fayose serious with the way he talks flippantly. CSTR1003: But Buhari has not done well.
So what exactly has buhari done, atleast for the eastern region? Thanks for the questions and I will oblige you answers to the best of my knowledge. The Niger bridge is in limbo. I believe the Niger bridge is in limbo because the lawmakers of SE extractions do not want the completion of the bridge for reasons best known to them. Otherwise, how do we explain the slashing of budgetary provisions for important stuffs like this. If we claim that PMB does not like Igbos and that is the reason for the bridge being in limbo; what happened under GEJ who did not hide his affection for the Igbos having appointed Okonjo Iweala, Pius Anyim, Stella Odua and others into key positions. Erosion is ravaging the eastern region, while the FG is looking. Again, this erosion issue as worrisome as it is did not start 5 years ago. We have had many governments come and go. What efforts have lawmakers of South Eastern extraction made to ensure that this problem is solved. What is Ike Ekeremadu doing about it as Deputy Senate President. Besides, we should investigate how much each governor has collected as ecological funds from FG since 1999 till date and then find out if judicious use have been made of the said funds. As far as I'm concerned, the erosion issue is an emergency that ought to be addressed urgently. The Enugu airport terminal that had been budgeted for in 2017 was rebudgeted for in 2018 again only for the national assembly to cancel it It is not unusual to make budgetary provisions for projects across many fiscal years. For instance, if you are building a house that will cost you a total of #30 million, you can budget #10 million in 2017, another #10 million in 2018 and another #10 million in 2019 to make up the total. |
