Canadianfly: Let me answer your 2nd question. I have a zillion Canadian citizen friends in Canada but it is illegal to deceive CIC. And you will have to prove it by documentation, birth certificates with both your parents names on there. Besides if the relative is not a blood relation, I.e. Mother, father, sibling...forget it. Except you want to go the PNP route where you get points for having a relative living in that province. I will advise you to go get your papers assessed, and apply like everyone else TRUTHFULLY. Then pray to God to grant y'all favor. Thanks Canadianfly for your response. Well said. Good job on the responses you and others have been providing. |

Tdadz: Nice job bro... I've gone thru all the links but couldn't find solution to the query I have... I need a lil clarification concerning the WES application, what address should I enter that I want WES to send my evaluations report to? Should that address be mine or to IRCC? Pls somebody shills kindly explain... The address you provide is to enable hard copy evaluation report to be sent to you. WES sends it to you. So, should be your address. On the other hand, they make access available to IRCC for your evaluation report. That's already part of what you pay for.

Ziinno: I don't really care whose dreams it is, If I perceive the individual is business smart, driven with a feasible business plan I can make profit from and own at least 40% of it...I am damn right supporting it. The individual in this case happens to be a boyfriend...whether he leaves or stays, my 40% remains mine and his debts, almost cleared. Win-Win. Well and good, what you described. Except there's evident conflict of interest here. And you got it mixed with business. Your professional and personal interests can't fit into the same pot without problems. |

There's no reason to sugar-coat it. The disease originated from Africa. The white persons who have it almost certainly had a black ancestor.

Coldfeets: Poverty can make so many people so effing heartless.
You may have all the money in this world but your poverty mentality will make you to be concentrating on scarcity rather than abundance.
Your friends needs the money.
You have the money.
You don't want to give him.
Why?
It's because you're wicked.
You will still spend almost that amount or even more on flimsy things like weed, parties, ho's etc
Why not get your friend to sign an IOU agreement or even offer him half of what he requested for if you are so afraid he might not repay instead of simply refusing to give him?
You think it's easy for a man to ask another man for money?
My guy, this life na turn by turn o!
Be warned. I don't get what your drama is about. Contrary to what you think, it's actually easy for a man to ask another man for money. Laziness isn't scarce. It's everywhere. Have you wondered why the same persons are afraid to actually approach official lenders for money? Is it because they know they won't be able to pay back? Don't put the blame on those who don't want to lend their friend money. It's their choice not to. Don't demonstrate such crass thinking. It's pathetic. |
Family › Re: How Should I Handle Friends Requesting For Loan? by cochtrane(m): 5:21am On Aug 03, 2017 |
Coldfeets: Very smart.
Clap for yourself.
But don't forget that you yourself could be at the receiving end one day.
And probably, someone else will be telling you this same thing.
Like my Igbo brothers will say, when they are carrying another person's corpse; it appears to us who are not related to him like a log of wood.
Of course, I have.
And I have equally been in a position where I needed some financial help from people too.
Now I'm thinking, if everybody has got this wicked mentality of not wanting to help another person out of their financial difficulties, then we are so doomed.
It is so unfortunate that we have now found ourselves in a position where we value money more than friendship, more than love for our fellow humans... in fact, more than anything else in the world.
But then again, it is one of the clear signs we are living in the end times. The world would be a much better place if people actually took responsibility for their spending. That means you take responsibility for yours and I for mine. If you needed a loan, there's a place called a bank. Maybe you never heard of it. But it's usually some big building with signs in front and an ATM probably on the corner where you can walk in and request a loan, complete with legal agreements. No one should be a charity for you. |
Family › Re: How Should I Handle Friends Requesting For Loan? by cochtrane(m): 5:17am On Aug 03, 2017 |
Ziinno: When asked for a loan which I cannot outrightly say no to, I take the person through a long and tiring process. Collateral, witness, signed papers...you'd give up on your own.
Heck, I love the boyfriend but I made him sign papers from my lawyers before I supported his 'dreams'. You had no business supporting a "boyfriend's dreams" with cash. You really didn't. |

DatechMan: IELTS exam is of two types. Academic and General. They cannot be used in lieu. I know. I meant IELTS general. I asked this as a follow up to a question I saw earlier in the thread where someone said you have to fill immigration purposes when taking the IELTS for Canada immigration. I wrote the IELTS general training for professional training reasons in an English country, not for immigration purposes. Now, I'm wondering if i can use the same result for Canada immigration. |

Romance › Re: Dear Broke Women by cochtrane(m): 7:24am On Jul 28, 2017 |
Chommieblaq: Thanks MissRaine69, you beat me to creating this topic. I honestly don't know what some ladies want. Relationship is not a poverty alleviation scheme, and to say that most of them shout this broke upanda don't even know what being broke is in the actual sense. A broke person, is some that can't afford a meal, accommodation and basic things of life.
I wonder why some girls call some guys broke when they can afford all the aforementioned, ohhh probably because he can't afford certain luxuries huh? But then he can afford his needs.( and he still aiming high)
Truth is, it's those girls that are broke (hell broke), they can't afford their needs and they are bent on finding someone to saddle them with it. He's not your daddy, you ain't even married to him ( and even if you are, must you be a liability) That's how I read about someone staying with a broke guy for 5 years and he left her for someone (I feel for her tho), but not all relationship leads to marriage (broke or rich guy), and during that period he was broke and developing himself till he made it, what was she doing? Support yourself and develop yourself too. If she had developed herself, she will only be heartbroken about the love that is gone, the wasted years, not bitter that he's made it and left her, then you will start hearing cliche like "I stood by him and supported him" Support and stand by yourself, you need it more than any other person.
Be with a guy because you love him, not just because he can foot your bill biko Wow! One word: excellente! |
