Trumptweet: Please help me. I am in medical school. My cousin and his wife (both living in USA) introduced a girl to me. They want me to come over.
From my understanding the two families are friends.
According to my cousin, "she is a good girl from a good family "
I have already started chatting with her, she seems cool, apparently.
But I need unbiased views from those with experience please.
Put yourself in my position and advise me.
she's 27. She is doing her masters .im 29, finishing next yr.
Thank you. The most important thing is if the two of you will be compatible But bear in mind that for the fact that she is based abroad, you have to tread gently, they do have this mentality of being higher than others |
Romance › Re: Boyfriend Lied About His Age by frozen70(f): 3:29pm On Sep 14, 2020 |
kingemaker: Good morning my NL people.
I usually don't do this but I've been forced to create this thread because my friend (a lady) needs my advice on the subject.
She met this cool dude about two years ago, they started dating after 2 months or thereabouts and everything has been fine with them.
Dude has a good career and she's also doing very well for herself. A couple of days back, she ran into some of his documents and realized that she is 5 years older than him she confirmed this via a photocopy of his international passport, WAEC certificate and Jamb documents; his DOB was consistent in all.
I advised her to confront him, at least to hear his own part of the story (because I'm aware so many Nigerians tend to reduce their "official" ages). But she insisted that that wasn't the case because she remembered when her boyfriend's elder brother in the US once celebrated his birthday with a cake with "**** at 29" inscription. She saw the photos on IG late last year and she was confused but decided to shrug it off thinking it could be a mistake.
As of this moment, she feels the dude must be hiding some other things from her, she's so broken right now.
I'll be expecting your input guys.
I don't mind if you help push this to the promised land.
Thanks She should just leave it the way it is pls Reduction of age has come to stay and its done for reasons best known to the person This is one of the exact reasons WAEC comes with date of birth so that whatever way you manipulate your age especially for school, using WAEC result will pin you down with age So since he didn't tell you forget about it after all if not that you saw it you wouldn't know Secondly if you confront him, if he is having the intention to drop you, then that's a good reason for him |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How I Lost A Potential Job Because Of My Denomination by frozen70(f): 3:31pm On Sep 13, 2020 |
wunmi590: Good day nairalanders,
Sorry I have to write this, I have decided to keep it to myself but, I decided to let it out.
Just like every other job seekers who are looking for jobs either to switch to a better pay or change environment.
Though I have been out of job since the COVID-19 pandemic started, I worked in a retail company, but since we have not been called back, I decided to search for job.
I saw an advert and decided to submit my application, just like every other people, luckily after one week or two, I got a mail that I have been shortlisted for their online test and after I pass, I will move to the next stage which is virtual interview before coming to their office to sign my employment letter.
After the mail, like 3 days I got a mail containing my ogin and password for the test, fiam, I opened and I did the test.
After like another 3days, I got a mail from them that I passed the test and i should be expecting a whatsap call from one of their head office in Europe.
Luckily I got the call, from one of the European country number from a Nigerian, believing is the call that would change my life forever.
After the normal introduction and other things like the job functions, the real bible questions started which I was able to scale through it.
Towards the end of the virtual interview, the last question was are you a born again Christian, have you been baptised and what denomination are you?.
And I said yes I'm a born again Christian, I've been baptised and I'm a Roman Catholic.
At the end of my speech his response was, is not possible to be a Catholic and be born again.
He said once you were not taken to the river to be baptised that's not a baptism.
Catholics are not born again Christians and I'm not baptised too just because I was not taken to the river to be baptised.
His last statement was, you actually have the experience but, we need other denomination not Catholic that the job entails somebody who is a real born again Christian.
That was how I lost the job, thinking today being my birthday, I will go to church and do special thanks giving. They would have restricted their search to only their church members |

Nwaotu: Guys, I impregnated a girl but I couldn't marry the girl. While the girl was carrying the pregnancy, the parents demanded that I should settle their daughter and go my way. Initially I refused but I later on gave them 400k for the child upkeep and everything. Now it has been 2 months since after the child was born. The last time I went there to visit the child, the parents spoke rudely to me and walked me out of their house and told me never to come back. This happened in Anambra. I know the tradition but the only thing I am asking is visitation rights to the child. I am not taking the child or whatever. I want to sue them to court to request for visitation right. Do I stand a chance of winning the case? If at this infant age you as the father of the child you want to start suing them that means you don't have the ability to tolerate things Even if you don't want their daughter dialogue with them and they will give you access They are pained already how do you want them to cooperate with you |

I'm almost giving up hope on this marriage matter. Ghost8889: I don't know about girls/women, But I have noticed that some boys/men loss interest in a girl/woman after they have s*x with her...
For me I think that the reason might be that: "Sex is the highest level of exploration between a man and a woman, and anyone that crosses that boundary without legal access (Through marriage), may never returned to normal (i.e having the same feeling of love)"
Tell us your experience and why you think people change after sex, drop your comments below , If you list after a woman once you have sex with her you will likely loose interest But if love was the motivating thing then it's possible sex will bond you guys and at a stage you see her as part of you |

Men have being abandoning their wives and children to only God knows places yet they still survive
Take those kids to your mother and start thinking of what to do to get them going
They are not the reason you are quarrelling with your wife and they don't even know what is happening between both of you
So be strong face it and have an idea of what it is to be a single father
Lots of people are in that shit and they have already moved on
For a woman to abandon her children for you means that the real story has not been told |
