Family › Re: Husband Destroys Wife's Super Market Because She Refused To Support The Family by ImaIma1(f): 7:38am On Nov 14, 2020
SAMBARRY:
. Na them

So you think she won't have her own personal savings

When we say don't marry men with poverty mentality it will look like brokeshaming meanwhile men with poverty mentality want those around them to be poor

You need to see the eyeballs of a poor man when a relatively financially comfortable woman is passing by.both Don't know each other o but the vicious anger and envy that those eyes show can kill if it's possible eyes kill lipsrsealed

Broke men like hardworking Women yet they don't want them to be successful.meanwhile hardwork and success is inevitable
The husband that set up the business for her doesn't speak "broke". But seriously, a woman that has the interest of her family at heart will contribute and support, at least that is why the husband set up the business for her. How can she refuse to buy basic things for her children but yet she funds an overseas trip for her brother. Is that not misplaced priority?

Women have to realise that the financial burden of a whole family could be too much for a man to handle himself. And that doesn't mean he is poor or stricken with poverty. Men need help. That is why we are the helpers.

If this story is true, then she is selfish.

Women have been doing that already and theirs as well .... welcome to the new age!
We know his real agenda. Forget that he commended the wife. He had to disguise to make his real agenda known. You can imagine saying something about not letting it get to her head.

Men's role...isn't it working and bringing money home? Women are doing that as well as handling the home front. Some men will never be appreciative no matter what.

Some people just ignore this thread sha.

Change the topic now to “my wife is denying me sex”, they will land like eagle to tell you she isn’t overworked.

Oya OP tell us, as body dey you now, to knack be your problem? Toor! Any man that thinks it is easy to handle the home should do it for 1week. Only to come up with healthy meals for the family can make you have headache sef. grin
Those guys that have the mouth to say she is not overworked, check it, most of them are single guys just running their mouths aimlessly. The married ones amongst them are slave drivers and people that believe because they paid brideprice, they can do as they like.

Instead of that op to think of how to take off some stress from his wife and make her life easy, he is only concerned about sex. Just leave him for one day with the kids and chores, he won't even be able to get 'it' up.

No. I will train them to be independent. They way my mum did for us. She used to tell us that whoever we pick to marry is our decision because we are the ones that will live in the house with them.
Family › Re: People Keep Saying This And I Don't Understand Why? by ImaIma1(f):
Klass99:
Re-phrase that to read as, mothers poison the hearts of their male children against their fathers! That shit rarely works with female children.

One of my aunty's tried it with her kids, only the boys aligned with her. Her girls always shut her down mid-conversation whenever she started to malign their father. It was so bad one particular visit I pulled my cousin aside and asked her not to be rude. She should at least allow her mum to finish saying whatever she had to said.

My cousin turned her frustration on me as well and shouted, I already know what she's going to say, I am sick and tired of hearing it. I know my dad is not a saint but constantly telling me about his flaws and bringing up his past mistakes really pisses me off with her, I don't have patience for her drama today.

One of our neighbours where my family home is, also did the same thing my aunt was doing. Her boys aligned with her against their father, while her daughters were always at logger-heads with her. For some reason I can't explain, it is easier to manipulate male children that way, than it is with female children.
There's a lot of truth in this. Boys tend to take their mother's words hook line and sinker while the girls see through her, probably because they are also females and understand their mother's manipulations.

It even affects the boys when it comes to picking a wife. Their mothers can influence their decisions while the girls will most times stand their ground against her mother.

The toll gate is not supposed to be there forever. I am sure they have already recovered every money spent on the roads. But greed won't let them stop and we Nigerians don't speak up to challenge it
Family › Re: Married Couples How Do You Sleep? by ImaIma1(f): 8:11am On Nov 11, 2020
Missis:
I married a troublesome person that loved making things hard for me at night when we slept on the same bed, he would regularly push me to the very edge of the bed or kick me or elbow me till I moved to the edge and was no longer comfortable.
After our first baby I decided to move to a foam on the floor of the room with our daughter for more comfortable sleep, that was when he became angry and was complaining that married couple should sleep on the same bed, when he was the one that pushed me out in the first place.

Long story short, marry your friend and a compassionate person and you will always want to be with them and sleep on the same bed, no matter the discomfort you might feel but your feeling of love and togetherness will help you overcome.
At the bolded, does he do it jokingly? I don't get why he would do all that. For what purpose?

It actually depends on you guys o; how you start and what you decide.

I read about these things and heard people's experiences and I knew that I couldn't deal with not cuddling at night, not being able to roll over as I like and facing the problem of trying to get them to sleep in their beds.

We will have to figure it out in a way that doesn't include them sleeping in our bed. Besides, my daughter is trying to settle in her room. Then the new baby will sleep in the baby bed in our room.

We will sha find a way.

Abeg we decided that our bed is for us alone. We didn't want the problem of allowing our child sleep with us because getting them to sleep in their beds later becomes extremely difficult. Besides, it is a major intimacy killer.

So she had her bed beside us and started sleeping there straight from the hospital. Off course there were days she needed attention we would bring her to sleep with us. But once she falls asleep, she's back in her bed. It helped her get used to sleeping in her bed.

My colleague complained about the fact that intimacy is hard because their child has been sleeping with them. And my friend told me how the other night her five year old son who still sleeps with them was rummaging her body with his hands looking for breast cheesy.

The best thing is don't start what you cannot finish. Once they start by sleeping with you, just deal with it.

u people succeeded in turning my anger into laughter. well thanks for all meaningful and respectful contributions. I believed this thread will help other couples. as for me I will consider all meaningful advice here and conclude what my next action will be .My wife is a wonderful home maker and an excellent mother, she use to be a good love making person but she lost it along the way I tried talking to her but highest after apology she go straight back at it .well I dey one Change now only
You should try getting her help first. Many women lose themselves to house chores, taking care of the children and hardly have time for themselves, let alone their husbands.

I have learnt in recent times that if you can afford it, pay someone to do it. Even my aunty that believed in doing everything herself advised us not wear ourselves out doing everything if we can pay someone to get it done. Because after years of stressing herself, she realized that she had missed out on a lot of other things she could have used her time for. Plus she is not as strong as she should be.

She is your wife, not a stranger. Ask her what would make her life easier. And if after, you relieve her of the plenty chores, and she is still not giving you attention, then you should raise alarm.

Tales some girls tell for losing virginity, I'm tired.
Getting a good wife is giving me tough time
It's possible for someone to date her rapist and even marry him. I met one in my lodge during NYSC. He raped her, she cursed the guy all night and left. Next thing, they were dating. Last I heard, they were planning wedding.

A loaf of bread now is 500 and that won't even be enough for breakfast for a family whereas On Walmart you still see loafs of bread for less than 1 USD. And who is living a fulfilled life in Nigeria? A country with youth unemployment rate of over 80 percent. The world's poverty capital of the world. Why do people continue speaking as if Nigeria is heaven on earth. It happened to me when I was about 7months pregnant. I was walking on the street in my area in the evening. This guy kept asking for my number that he likes me.

I didn't even say anything to him because I knew he was not blind to see my tummy. And I didn't want anything to do with someone I thought was sick.

I think there are some guys that find pregnant women attractive.

You can set up a joint account where each partner contribute a certain amount monthly, while still maintaining your individual accounts.

For me this is the best, to avoid stories that touch.
To me, this is preferred. Even in a marriage seminar I attended recently, the pastor was asked this question about joint accounts. He said he preferred individual accounts and a joint account they contribute into for peace.

I am not married, but this is what a man who is married to a rich woman from a wealthy home has to say on Facebook.
This is sad...really.so. What is the point of always rubbing it in? No one forced her to marry him.

I know of a friend though. She's from a wealthy family while the guy was still upcoming. Her family was seriously against the marriage but she stuck to the guy. Her family didn't attend the wedding; it was that bad.

Eventually, they came around. And with her connection, he got a deal that gave him a lot of money and he started a very successful business. Because she's the humble and simple type, they don't have issues because of her family wealth. So it has to do mainly with the person's character.
