Oh k.... that came from reflections from personal experience.

Still, there is something deep there. I recognized it. And believe me, i usually do.

Whatever it is should be given the chance to bloom and bless the world. You should really think about it.

Have a great day
I'm working on it. Thanks

That was one of the best comments i have read on NL in a long time.

Thanks.

Embracing your own pain will give you compassion for others who are in pain too.

Running from it will make you impatient with others. You'll think you're moving on, but you're only postponing your enlightenment.

That's the motivation for my reply.

Because of the tech craze. Typical Nigerian way of milking anything that people are showing interest in. And they have nothing special to offer for the millions because they still use sites like udemy and YouTube to source for their materials.
Now this really got me.

Is he scared if his wife and mother are close they might plan and plot against him..

This is why I like China.. according to Chinese law taking care of your parents when old is compulsory, mandatory and failure to comply would lead you straight to jail

The counsellor needs to understand raising an average child to adult hood cost atleast 15 million naira and that's just feeding for 2 decades, clothing, and education, not to mention emotional and physical investment which can't be quantified

The least you can do for someone who spent over 15 million raising you through sweat and blood, is to allow your wife play with her and bond with her like a daughter especially when she's down and lonely

.
Why would a woman become down and lonely just because her children grew up and left home?

I'm interested in your response.

Deanxy1:
It has been almost two years now since I broke up with my Ex whom i dated for almost a decade since when we were in secondary school up until we both graduated from uni ( we went to separate uni). There were so many things that happened leading up to the break up. We kept having one issue to the other and we were quarreling almost on a weekly basis for the last two years of the relationship. Amongst the many issues, one which stand out was her dating another guy. It started with her denying they were dating to when she could actually post his picture on snap and other social media handle and that was the height of it. Friends told me to cut her loose but I couldn't and the whole toxic thing continued ( in retrospect, it was just naivety ). So little by little the love she had for me waned and I became tired of the whole thing and we just stopped talking and went our separate ways. And it's been two years now but each time I run into her or see her picture, my mind skips. This has continued to happen ever since we broke up. I had long cut any form of contact with her but our childhood friends are kind of alike,so sometimes there's always that possibility of bumping into her or her picture from time to time. Please what do I do?
Don't jump into a new relationship to feel better. It's not fair on the new lady.

Talk it out. Taaaaaaaaaalk.

Find a friend who's willing to listen, if he's not willing, find someone else until you get it out of your chest.

The plans you had, your hopes that she dashed, eeeeverything. It's therapeutic.

You're free to post things you're feeling somewhere, it's your social media space, it's a means of journalling. When you're healed, you'll look back and laugh even if you don't feel like laughing right now.

Take your time, don't rush yourself to heal, be kind to yourself, she pulled the plug, not you, she didn't believe in working things out with you, so don't blame yourself. Be kind to yourself, because if you don't love yourself, who will?

Above all, dive into your goals, and reinvent yourself. Look for self development videos and articles and follow them.

This phase you're going through has been experienced by millions of people and they have come out on the other side. You won't be an exception.

P. S. Please remind all other men who are forming hard up and down that we're all humans.

P. P. S. Lots of people are hiding humongous amounts of pain so don't let anyone put you down. Keep living one day at a time. Good luck.

Good day Great people, I will make this simple and short. I'm a young adult in my mid 30s, early stage of my life was rosy because I got a good job a year after service before then I was working double shift as a sch teacher during the day and security operative at night(just to let you know am not lazy) Worked at one of this new generation banks for almost 5yrs before I was retrenched, I ventured into a new business shortly after then, got married and to God be the Glory I have kids .

The last two years have been terrible, my business suffered a great loss in 2019 and up till now have not been able to pickup myself. I believe in being self made but am running out of ideas which is making me loose it. I've applied for several jobs but yet to be called, family and friends have been great but I can't keep replying on them.

I need someone to talk to, someone to inspire me, am getting depressed, am beginning to doubt my capacity. I survived a BP of almost 240 just recently,Bills keeps coming, I hate the fact that I have to rely on people when emergency pops up. I like making my own money. I NEED HELP. So many things have gone wrong which I won't want to delve into, I don't even feel like a man any longer.

I need great minds to give me healthy advice, I hardly sleep. I still believe in myself but I just don't know where to start again. I'm STUCK!
I NEED A JOB TO KEEP ME BUSY, AM LOSING IT. I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK, I NEED TO ENGAGE MY MIND.
I just want to encourage you to keep your hope alive.

Once you have hope, you'll be able to face tomorrow.

I pray things get better soon.

Nigeria’s Maristella Okpala Wins Best National Costume At Miss Universe 2021 (Photos)

Miss Universe Nigeria, Maristella Okpala, won the Best in National Costume award at the just concluded Miss Universe 2021 pageant, IgbereTV reports.

The 2021 Miss Universe grand finale took place in Eilat, Israel, on Sunday, December 12, 2021.

For the National Costume segment of the competition, Maristella Okpala wore an outfit inspired by the 'Mmanwa' masquerade from Southeastern Nigeria.

The costume was designed by Filipino fashion student Kennedy Jhon Gasper.

The costume featured a beaded headpiece, an ornate tribal mask, and an ancient back cape.

Designer Gasper took to Facebook to celebrate after his design worn by Maristella, which won Best in National Costume.

I keep telling people, you can't keep copying others and win the game.

When you bring out your original creativity, even your competition will become your imitators.

Nigerian Artistes should stop mixing up been a Musician and Artist management. They fail when they mix up the two which are two different thing.
Where is wande Coal, Where is Dbanj, where is Run town, Where is Ricardo Banks, Where is Koredo Bello, where is Lil Kesh, where is Iyanya, where is Mayorku, where is Tiwa Savage( she even had to release her sex tape to thread, where is Cynthia Morgan etc. stay and grow under a good management
If you look at the pattern. They all probably left their labels because of dissatisfaction. If an alliance is no longer serving your needs, it's normal to seek better options elsewhere.

There should have been several established management agencies which could offer such opportunities but looks like Nigerian markets usually tend towards monopoly.

Another alternative to exit is renegotiation. We seem to lack negotiation skills in the Nigerian business environment because most of us allow our emotions to do our thinking for us. (Inadequate emotional intelligence). Even people who claim to be objective end up doing this.

I could go on and on but I'm not here to throw scathing criticism aimed to hurt people.

I'm only pointing out what went wrong in my opinion so that others can avoid it.

Peace.

On the flip side, if he's bad in bed, no woman will stay.

Family › Re: Help! House Help’s Presence Is Giving Me Concern by Saintmary(f): 10:29pm On Dec 10, 2021
artimisfowler:
So, a distant relative of mine was brought from the village to come live in my house, about 17, 18 or so, ever since she came I have been noticing some things.

Some street boys who have never greeted me before have started to greet me even from far, they offer their unsolicited help, like directing traffic on the street when I’m driving out. A particular boy stares at me like he can’t wait for me to go out every morning.

When I first noticed the connection was one evening I came home a little earlier, parked outside and was rushing to get some documents, I ran into her with some neighbour’s son in my staircase standing in front of each other, later that evening after I gave her a dirty slap in five sec. she narrated that the boy came upstairs to inform us that he had returned our wheel barrow but no one was at home and on his way out they bumped into each other in the fairly dark staircase while she was returning from the market, I knew she was lying because this a girl that wouldn’t confess to guilt even at gun point, she has a 1st class in lying but that’s story for another day. And yea every chance she gets she also dishing out too much of my food for male visitors particularly and serve them drinks I chilled for myself, lastly she is in the habit of wearing tight fitting clothes. I seized her trousers and shorts, in fact I don’t allow that in my house, but she will cut her long skirts into mini skirts and also cut the sides and lie about doing that.

To cut the story short, I just don’t understand what these guys see in her, she’s not a very attractive girl, though she may have kind of oversized backside for her age and narrow hips, but that’s rubbish, she’s just a little girl and I still have memories of her when she’d weewee on herself and cry with running nose whenever we traveled to the village in Christmas, it all seems like yesterday, I guess she is all grown now and it sickens me to imagine her doing the unimaginable in my house.

Sincerely, I don’t know what to do, wether to send her back to the villa, she can work alright, she’s very protective of my family and properties too, she knows everything happening in the neighbourhood and has made me understand things I didn’t understand before in the neighbourhood, tells us the latest dramas, who’s not talking to who and why, all kinds of gossips, once in my presence she even told dss officers jaw dropping lies and discharged them when they came because electricity was illegally tapped from high tension and we got petitioned. But, in all these “good outlook” or advantages of having her, the look in her eyes make us unsettled, who knows what she can be capable of or turn out to be tomorrow, how she commands men’s attention can bring insecurity to my home, her influence is just uncomfortable, I don’t know if anyone can relate but I need some suggestion, family people only!
By the time she starts commanding your husband, body go tell you.

Men don't need a fine face to get down with a girl. Whenever testosterone comes calling, all manner of sense flies out the window.

Send her back home immediately.

If your husband objects, you should know you're in big trouble.

Who advised you to bring fresh girl to your house in the first place? It's like bringing meat to a cat. Sophistication or not, she's attractive and that's trouble for you if you don't return her ASAP.
