To get that eba to eat with good soup is even more expensive than those craps there … |
Resign. It is not by force. Working so hard to completely destroy the economy with useless policies. Nonsense! |
Why are they showing their backs? I thought they used to give them placard of their crimes and snap their faces? Or is it because some are Chinese ![]() Or they plan to later collect ....after settling.... after all, we wont recognize them by their backs if we see them in the streets tomorrow |

![]() It seems the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Army have the same template of denting allegations. Their denial always consist the two words: FALSE and BASELESS |
Chukwuka319:Is it so hard for you to read and understand objective criticism ? Did I at any point support rape in my comment? Please read well and understand before you type |
Fiscus105:You should actually try to read and understand before making haste to quote responses |
Rape is not not good but I still don't understand why arrested bandits could be forgiven and a rapist is sentenced to life imprisonment in the same country... something is wrong somewhere |
Engaging in various discussions on life's complexities often prompts profound contemplation about the diverse perspectives present on platforms like Nairaland. Having been an active member for several years, I cannot help but acknowledge the evolving nature of this online community. Initially, the landscape was markedly different, but over time, Nairaland has become a microcosm reflecting the moral fabric and societal ethos prevalent among Nigerians, both at home and abroad. As I navigate through the plethora of comments and viewpoints on Nairaland, a burning question consistently arises within me: Who are those on Nairaland? Example: 1. Marriage Conundrum Consider, for instance, the discussions around marriage. A man expressing his intention to marry and detailing the efforts he puts into the relationship is often labeled a 'Simp.' Some boldly claim, "Only a fool marries Nigerian girls." However, my firsthand experience at Ikoyi Registry in December 2023 during my wedding got me really troubled. I was number 243 on the list despite how early I arrived the venue (that was just for a single day in 2023). This led me to ponder: Do Nigerian men still embrace marriage, even to Nigerian women? The enigma deepens: Who then are those on Nairaland? 2. Conflicting Views on Relationships Another perplexity lies in the contrasting perspectives regarding relationships. On Nairaland, Nigerian girls are often portrayed as undeserving of anything from their male counterparts. The prevailing sentiment suggests focusing financial resources solely on family and mothers. Yet, a stroll through Ikeja Mall or Just Rite paints a different picture. Men are consistently treating their companions to various items and indulging in a plethora of culinary delights. This incongruity prompts the question: Who are those on Nairaland? 3. Skepticism Towards Religion Nairaland fosters an environment where skepticism towards religion thrives. Every pastor is viewed as a religious scam artist, and the prevailing belief is that personal success is solely the result of hard work and luck. However, every Sunday in Nigeria witnesses road congestion due to the multitude attending various churches. This dissonance raises yet another inquiry: Who are those on Nairaland? 4. Ethnic Discord Adding another layer to the puzzle is the apparent ethnic discord between Yoruba and Igbo on Nairaland. Online discussions paint a picture of water and palm oil – a mixture seemingly impossible. Yet, in reality, you witness Yoruba and Igbo individuals marrying, engaging in business partnerships, challenging the very notion propagated online. This stark contrast begs the question: Who are those on Nairaland? … the list goes on and on. ...you can add yours, if this question has ever come across your mind |

dangermouse:It it true: this is not the first time, some other persons have mentioned this in time past; it is what they do. My eldest brother has been living in Jos since the past 21 years and he has mentioned this several times too. One of my sisters who was living in Kaduna said same thing. It got to a point that they had to abandoned the house they built in Kaduna and relocated to Lagos to start afresh. The presence of the military is not to protect the citizens there but to prevent Christian’s from retaliating when the Islamist strikes. Because of selfish political gains, the leaders would always look the other way and it goes on and on till all is gone. NIGERIA CANNOT BE ONE |
Although I do not fully understand Yoruba but I do not think they are stupid, I would have called it ignorance if the prayer was meant to restore a faulty transformer but in this case, they knew exactly why they were praying for that Transformer. Have you ever wondered why: 1. There are always sacrifices placed around transformers? 2. No matter the transformer you install in some locations, they will never work. 3. You returned from work at 8pm and parked your car in your compound and you woke up the following morning and set for work at 5am. You decided to check your radiator to know if the fluid level was still ok but you discovered the engine of the car was still very hot like u just arrived? Come on!!!! Powers exist in the air, land and sea. Those who live in Benin City, Edo state, Esan or Delta would fully understand the reason they prayed. If you have problem with this, you probably already have problem with prayers generally. |
Rumundele:Just read your self-contradicting statement. It sounds like you are even more senseless than him. |
There is no sense in what he said. How many people can become governors or ministers in Nigeria ? What is the population of Nigeria ? What is the probability that someone drawn from a million population can be a governor or a minister ? If I have to become a governor or minister in a country before I can live a good life or say I have achieved something in life then, that is not a county.. |

XOGBADO:In this life, don't always be quick to judge.... by the time the wife will come out now to say her part of the story, the matter go weak you. |
Although I do not support drugs but I would rather have my future ruined by drugs than be ruined by Buhari’s extended government. |
Currently in Nigeria, your lifespan to some extent, depends on how much time you stay indoor. |
Why is the president delighted in people with criminal records? |
It’ is only someone who has not traveled out of Nigeria or been to US, Canada, UK, Finland, even SA et al. before that can be giving this lopsided advice. |
If you don’t even have the least information at your door step, how do you intend to succeed in those countries you mentioned ? |

In life don't always give up easily. There are many things that are involved here; save the money in $ as soon as possible. You can't be talking of investment in a country with an unstable and worsening economy as Nigeria. You night think that money is big but my dear, it is nothing and the value keeps reducing per minute. Let me tell you my story... I was saving money in Nigeria since last year April after I got my new job, trying to buy a good car ... by the time i was to buy the car this year, the price of the car doubled and everything became extremely expensive such that I was almost having depression because I couldn't even afford a Nigerian used of the type of car. So I decided that i was going to rather save more and use the money to Japa next year... but our plans are usually not God's. I got to the office one morning and saw an advert from nowhere in my mail, read through and I was qualified, applied for the job that morning and was invited for an interview 3 days after, followed by another interview a week later and then the final interview after one week. to the glory of God I was offered the job and 45 days later, I landed in the USA. The funny thing was that 3 days after I arrived, I was paid my first month salary and i started crying when I got home because it was more than my 5 years gross salary as a PhD holder in Nigeria. Moreover, it is not just the salary, you will start living a good life in a sane environment where you wouldn't have to be queueing to buy fuel, withdraw money, looking right and left before running to cross a road, always plug phone because NEPA will soon take light, buy rice and other items at home because the prices would soon increase et al... come on! So, my dear don't EVER think of giving up and stay back.... Athena6: |
Very pathetic. I was just lucky to be indoor throughout yesterday because I was sick... all of a sudden at night, siren everywhere....make God help us for this Lewiston, I no fit enter another one-chance here again after escaping boko haram, kidnappers, et al. from naija. |

JovialRPiller:Keep bragging of 6 from a region that has 6 states;; noise maker.… are you aware that 3 of them are from Edo State alone? |
It’s not based on academic excellence but on the fact that people now look for affordable government universities as the poverty rate in the country increases. |
