Good evening fam. I just want to drop this here even though I feel it's not the right thread. I like the romance forum.

I have a colleague at the office and she lives not too far from me. I have a good relationship with her husband as he's a Yoruba man. It happens she's still a learner and isn't too good driving. Although,she tries and I kinda supervise her but she never listens. She just wants to do her own thing. I end up driving almost every time

On our way back from work today she drove and she wanted to branch at a market to purchase some groceries so she was looking for where to park her car. I showed her a place and she said no that the place was too deep. But cars were parked there. I left her alone and she parked close to a bus stop. When she left,I was just in the car pressing my phone and Task force came and impounded the car. I tried pleading but to no avail. They asked if I was the owner of the car and I said no that it's for a colleague and she was going to be with us soon. The plea fell on deaf ears and they drove me and the car to the police station close by.

I tried calling my dad to know if he knew anyone there as he usually have lil connect but he said no. So I tried going back to where we parked so I could tell her what happend and where the car was. Fortunately, before I got to the gate of the station she was walking like a soldier angry saying why did I let them carry the car and all. And I told her how I pleaded and how they wanted to lessen the tire if I didn't give them the key. Still she was furious and was talking plenty things that got me annoyed that if it was my car would I have allowed them carry it that wasn't I a man to handle them.

The people said for violating I was going to pay 120k. And I just didn't know what to say. So I was like let's call Baba(her husband ), just to know if he had a connect. And she flared up saying what kinda talk was that and all like I was her baby or something. She said things that got me angry and I told her it's indeed not her fault and I kept quiet.

In the end I did some transfers and she gave some amount too.

I have made my decision not to drive her again because I was really hurt with the kind of things she said. And when we were heading home I called her attention to it gently. Yet she was saying why would I have allowed them carry the car that if it was my car nko. And lots of things.

I don't want to ruin the relationship I have with her husband

Please I need to be advised because I have crossed my mind not to drive nor go with her anymore

You have a relationship with her husband but you relate with er more than her husband, simply because you drive her

I'm gonna go straight to the point.

I moved into this small house in Abuja due to pressure from the people I was staying with before now which required that I moved out quickly from there. After searching for a house to stay in within the shortest possible time, I finally settled for this one I'm staying in right now. I paid fully for the house in the presence of about three witnesses that is to say I am not owing a dime.

As with every house, there are agreements binding the tenants and landlords and some of mine includes Paying of water and light bill. Now the issue is that whenever we pay our light bill, after about a week or two it gets disconnected due to the outstanding balance of about N50,000 which is small compared to what so many people are owing in Nigeria but still have their electricity intact and from what I heard he was the one who kept refusing to pay the bills whenever it was given to him by past tenants and hence it accumulated.

The landlord promised fixing prepaid metre when I was moving in but until now he still hasn't and we the tenants have been suffering dearly for this. Everytime the PHCN guys come around, he fights and insults them and this I believe is the reason they have refused to be linient with us which is what he has been doing to us, the tenants too. At a point I even reported him to the police for subtly threatening me verbally and angrily and he was picked up for questioning and ever since then he started avoiding having any confrontation with me.

Now the issue is that we haven't had electricity for over a month now in our compound while our surrounding neighbors constantly have light in their houses. This has made us suffer greatly. Note that we don't owe light bill. We pay whenever there's a new bill and like I stated before, just after a week or two, we get disconnected again and we go ahead to buy wires, get and pay the person to help reconnect it. This has been going on since I moved in here. I later heard that other tenants suffered same with him. I can't remember the last time I ironed my clothes in my house, charged my phone or even watched TV all because of this guy's cruelty.

I had to resort to getting a generator to enable me get light and enjoy a bit of fan whenever I get back from work. My fridge has been lying dormant as I no longer use it to store cooked food. All these has cost me and is still costing me money. I now buy fuel almost every time, eat out because I can no longer cook and store the food in my fridge. He lives in the compound and doesn't care.

My question is this: what can be done to get us out of this misery this heartless guy has put us into? Please we need all the help we can get. The other two tenants are already overwhelmed with the whole situation. Please we need all the help we can get. Location is Abuja. Thanks.

Honestly even if you get a prepaid meter one day he will give you a quit notice and you will pack out leaving the prepaid meter behind

Just start planning on how to relocate by looking for another rented apartment

I went to Nigeria to bring my wife some years agom ever since we arrived it has always been money, money, materials, materials especially money. It's always about money, money, money. The oldest son is a jobless and shameless irresponsible man that impregnated a woman and they now have four kids. I have even got a job for him from here but he refused to go and work there in Nigeria.

Not minding the fact that he even have other siblings in abroad. One of those in abroad is always in support of this stupid irresponsible oldest guy but the other one is a very intelligent person and knows the whole truth.

If you send money to the dad now trust me he will request another in less than a week which obviously the irresponsible was the one telling the dad what to say. There was no time my wife or me or we call the dad that the irresponsible will not pretend he's not there but will put the phone on speaker so he can listen to our concert with the dad. All he's doing is yahoo and Yahoo. The second born there with him is a little bit fair but they all the same.

They always have this strong believe that their sister who is my wife owe them because they always says they took care of her. This is one of the reasons their sister who is my wife and the other siblings in abroad are yet to build a house for their dad. The oldest irresponsible always cause trouble, tell lies and create issues that the dad will be telling his children abroad that he's gonna curse them if they don't build house for him or send certain mount on so so so date. I am really tired and confused. Enough is enough because I also have my own family to look after. Even a bike I never buy sef.

I am beginning to regret getting married in the first place. I love my wife and we have been together for over a decade and half even before we get married. But my wife is now their enemy because she always turn them down now. Infarct of I mention the irresponsible man's name or talk about se don't a penny to them she will go mad for days. Everythinf about them is money, money, money, build house for our dad, etc. The guy is now a yahoo + man over 40 yrs with no future and still unambitious.

My wife and I have wasted a lot of money on his travelling but he doesn't even care. Imagine all the siblings in abroad have been sending money for their dad's house rent only for the landlord to tell us that this guy's has never paid a kobo for almost two years. All he's about is to drink fvck and club.. very dirty hungry looking guy. They never appreciate anything indo for them, instead it's always more more and more. There was a time this guy tried to fight me but I just ignored him.and since then I never talk to him again till now. But they are bullying my wife emotionally that she cries almost everyday now uptill this morning when I asked her what happened and she told me that her brother the irresponsible man sent a nasty message to her.

But the other ones in another will always tell her that she and them need to take care of their dad and must send him money regardless of who highjack it as long as God knows they did the right thing, please how does this make sense? I need opinion on this in particular. How could you be sending money to the dad when you know that the idiot is the one that will collect and spend the money because he's with the dad's ATM card? Does that make sense?

I only pity one of the two siblings in another country that always support him and that one's wife have started complaining to my wife too because they gist a lot.

Hello everyone, please I need your opinion on this issues. I got an employment letter for federal government job I interviewed for last year. During the interview the panel actually told me I am way too qualified for the position they are interviewing me for to which I replied them I will take the offer as long as I can progress and grow through the ranks and they told me that they loved my reply that that was what they were expecting me to say.

Today, I received a mail containing my appointment letter and I see the gave me grade level 3 step 2. Although it is a newly commissioned government agency and I am a university graduate with about 5 years work experience. Now I am confused with the grade level I am being offered.

Secondary, I currently have another appointment letter with a private company lacated in the north east, the salary is good with allowance and the working condition is not so bad, I would have loved to take that offer but the location is not favorable to me as my family is scattered between the north west and south west so going to the north east to work will be a difficult thing for me.

I'll be glad if I could get your opinions on this, I don't know how much the Government job would pay yet.

You were given under employment positions below your academic qualifications because its meant for people with just waec

Accept it and see if you will like the job then from there you can apply for upgrade after a period of time

Earlier these month, great opportunity showed up, I was to assembly foreign equipment for one big politician in my state. The architect that got the contract contacted me as an engineer, we went to the site, take the measurement, ready to kick start the work. We've negotiated the price, you know Nigerians most demand for cut, which we agreed certain percentage.

4 days to the date set for the money to be transferred, she stop picking my calls, stop answering my chat on whatsapp.

Before then she'll be calling to ask if I'll be able to fix the equipments, she'll ask me questions like; how are you going to do it, what an what will you need, how many workers will work with you etc.

The guy that connected me with her happens to be a friend. I was updating this guy on every progress. At a point this woman start passing information through this guy to me. I was wandering, why can't she call me direct.

To cut the whole story, The woman went an gather some people including the guy to do the work, after all my efforts.

Ever since I finished my training 3yrs ago, have not gotten some thing to do an this job will have being good break through for me to get my own place. My rent's about to expire, difficult to feed etc.

I called this guy number, and we talked about how he will move to lag. he was so glad I offered to help him.

early this year, he called me and told me he was on his way to Lagos that I should give him a description of how to get to my place.

when he arrived, I went to bustop to pick him. he was surprised he met a very young man. so I took him to my room to drop his bags, and I took him round the compound and I also introduced him to my mom and my babymama.

I also gave him a bed he will sleeping on, mind you he will be sleeping in the church, because that's is where those I help with accommodation sleep, but they keep their bags in my room, but there is another available room we give out for free to those who sleep in church. but those who I bring in use my room. and they are free to watch films and do whatever they want.

few days after this guy came, i noticed he doesn't greet me, he doesn't even speak to me, but i take it as his character. sometimes whenever my babymama or mom cooks, I tell them to serve him also, but he will never come back to say a thank u.

meanwhile, when he came I explained my own situations to him because I already took him as a friend, I told him how life has turned around after my babymamas and i business collapsed and how we came on nairaland to beg. I told him how I do menial jobs to survive and I told him the challenges he will overcome but he has to tighten his seatbelt to survive in Lagos.

This guy is very lazy, but he's hungry, a lot of people are calling my attention to it...

he said he wants a daily job, so that he can be able to feed himself till he gets something better.
I told him to always follow me to were I carry pop for daily pay, he declined, I also took him to a driver who I also work for as a bus conductor, he said he can't do it, and many other jobs like that which he declined.

I noticed he started avoiding me, but he still come into my room to change to dress.
while he was looking for accommodation on his thread, he said he said he doesn't drink nor smoke, that is one of the things that also made me help me, but this guys roll with smokers and drug addicts since he got to our area. my mom will be mad at me if she finds out the guy smokes.

yesterday was my birthday, while all my tenants and well wishers were greeting, this guy couldn't even say a happy birthday, till this moment he's just looking at me like spoilt yam.

I just got a minibus yesterday as a birthday gift from someone I have once helped, and I will start using it for business from Monday, I still wish to help this guy more and I feel I should tell him to join me as a conductor because this guy is hungry, but maybe he will agree. but I don't wanna be disappointed, because I don't know why he has been so cold towards me. if he declines, I am planning to send him away.

pls any advice on how to deal with this issue. but I don't want to take a wrong step that will tarnish all the good I have done to him.

Please share my story, I want to remain anonymous. I think I want a divorce, the only problem is that I do not have a job and I don't know if I can stand on my own if I leave my husband. I met my husband 3 years ago. He has a babymama who they share a son with. He said he could not marry her cos she is materialistic and always wanting more than he can offer her.

My husband is doing well. He holds a senior position in the bank and he is paid well. So, when he dated me,he said he does not want the person he will  marry to work cos he wants his wife to take care of the children until they are grown and gone to boarding house.

So I knew that marrying him, I was not going to work but take care of the home and the children. My husband placed me on a monthly upkeep money of 100k. Later, he reduced it to 70k. Now, that amount is too small for me to run our house cos I spend the money on food, diapers for our baby, dstv, fuel for the generator and my car.

To some people,70k is alot of money but for someone who earns almost 1M every month (I just found out last year), I feel he is grossly taking advantage of us. I have talked to him begged him to increase the money to at least 200k...and he says I do not need money after all, he pays school fees, rent, he has bought bag of rice for me, he pays estate dues, light bill, and some few other things.

But I do not have my own pocket money cos the 70k goes into food and its not even enough...so I beg him money to do my hair. He will tell me to....

There is this 11 months old baby in my compound who is very close to me and she just started walking. The very first time she saw my girl, she was soo scared and started crawling very fast towards her mum and crying. I quickly ran after her and carried her back to where my girl was sitting down, this time, the crying and running became very intense, I was shocked and I asked why the baby was so scared of her and she said she doesn't know.

Two days later, she came to my place and immediately this baby saw her she was scared and crying that was when I jokily asked her if she is a witch and she got angry and left my house. After she left, a lot of questions started running through my mind: like, is she a witch? Does she has a marine spirit? What did that little girl saw in her? In fact a lot of questions. She later called that same night and was like; baby, I am not possess ooh, I should not allow this little baby come between us ooh and that she loves me very much.

To cut the story short, less than two weeks later, the baby DIED. I was so scared if the baby actually saw something in her and she decided to shut the baby up ( I don't know, just an assumption).

I will try to make this as short and simple as possible.

My kid sister texted me on WhatsApp this evening saying she almost got raped by the guy crediting her online wallet for her, I drove straight to my mum's store because I was just leaving the office.

Now I met her and asked what's up.

She has an online wallet where she recharges decoders, pays electricity bills for people, sells airtime and data etc. She is a student and she's doing that business in my mum's store so she could help herself in school.

She said someone sent her 30k to pay his electricity bill and also recharge his decoder for him so she went to the guy's shop to get her account credited but he wasn't there then she called him and he directed her to his house in that same street very close to the shop.
She got there and the guy tried forcing himself on her, mind you she's on her period, she refused and during the scuffle she lost one of her earrings, she begged me not to take action that the guy has apologised, seeing that I was very hurt and I wanted to confront the guy at that moment. while she was explaining to me the guy called and kept on apologizing but I'm not having any of that.

I wanted to call some of my friends to beat up the guy but after she begged me, I still want confront the guy, warn him seriously but I need advice on if that's the best thing to do or which way do you think is best to approach the situation?

After the recent CBN directive that accounts of cryptocurrency traders should be closed by banks. I was a little panicked cuz I have invested in crypto a few times. So I decided to act fast and move all my money into my wife's account.
My wife happen to be someone that likes to make money but hates to spend it. Most of the times she always complain about how much I spend to fix my car, how much I'm spending to feed the dogs and so on like that. But I didn't know keeping all my money in her account will lead to an headache like this.

After the transfer, I realize that I'll have to ask her to send money to me if I want to do anything but we have a good relationship so I'm not concerned about that until questions start now.
If I ask my wife to send money to me. I'll have to explain what I want to do with it.
The most annoying part now is that she goes to school for an advance degree and most times she goes early in the morning so she won't cook before leaving. I'll wake up, do the necessaries and when I'm hungry, there won't be food! As an understanding husband, I will want to order food, I don't have money! I'll still have to call her to transfer to me. After that, I noticed she has taken the only atm card at home with her! What's all these now!

If I ask her to transfer my money back, no issue but I'm worried CBN might close my account and wahala will burst but I'm not used to this kind of lifestyle. I've always provided and give, now I have to take from her and still explain what I need it for!
I swear I don't know what to do.

She was murdered because she reported the activities of some group of guys in her neighborhood

After the guys were arrested and released they got information that she was behind their arrest

Guy's please I'm confused here, there is this girl i started dating last year December, she really loves me and i know that? Have asked her of sex for sometime now, but she keeps telling me she is not ready for that.

Her story goes this way that she was raped when she was 7 years old by there neighbour then, and the guy was arrested and later realised after much pleadings from his people, and ever since then her mother have been so closed to her even up till now due to the rape experience, and more over she also told me that she has dated three Guy's before me, and they all broke up because they are all after sex, and she is not ready for that, and now after, talking to her, showing her true love, making her to believe me that I'm different from other guy's out there, and she has now agreed to give me sex when next we see, only on the condition that whatever happens, I shouldn't leave her, no matter what even if she gets pregnant for me, but the truth still remains that i don't actually need the sex, i just what to know if she is telling me truth.

But the problem now is this please how will i know that she is telling me the truth, that she has never had sex ever since then, as I'm yet to trust her on that aspect, this rape experience happened 12 year's ago.

How will know she is telling the truth, cus I'm ready to find out the truth by all means

I live in a close. My house is inside another close. In fact it's a close inside a close. You won't even know people live there becos the close is kinda hidden.

These boys are a complete nuisance since they moved into the area. They have no respect for those living around.

They are always packing their Cars infront of my gate purposely to block me from coming out of my house.
They make a hell of Noise.
They behave like complete Touts and Agberos. You can't even have a reasonable conversation with them. (So nobody should suggest that)
All they know is how to on generator from morning till night.
They live in a Flat where they pay about N400k and above.
The Landlord doesn't live there.
When they throw party, it is the worst. They will block the entire frontage with their numerous cars leaving no place to pass.

In fact they are a complete nuisance. I dislike them with passion.

I mind my business in the area 100%. If i look at u and u dont look reasonable or behave well, I avoid u.

If they can mind their own business without infringing on other people's right, we won't have a problem at all.

I want to end it all once and for all becos they think I can't do anything but I want to show them that my silence is not stupidity.

I need help on inviting the Law into this matter. If possible EFCC.
