Forgive me, but what is a "K or Y-leg"?? I've heard of bo-legged people. But I've never heard of that slang term.
RomanceRe: She Cheated On Me by livedit(f): 6:03pm On Dec 15, 2010
I disagree. Why would you want to be with someone who is constantly unfaithful to you? I seriously doubt this alledged "woman of God" told her God didn't want you two to be together.  Reason be, I don't know about anybody else, but when I pray, God tells ME what/who is good for me and who's not.  I don't know why some people think God has to speak to them through other people.  Frankly, I think that was a cop out idiotic excuse to dump someone.  If by chance what she said was the truth, it's probably for your own good so that you can move and find someone who will love you, won't cheat on you and be the woman God has called her to be.  Not run around and consistantly cheat and then try to give in excusable excuse like that.  I'm assuming you truly love this woman, but right now, but at the same time, you need to love your self more! You have to realize that you don't deserve to be cheated on and disrespected like this.  There is someone out there that WILL be faithful to you and don't run around like a dog in heat blaming her infidelity on Jesus holy name.

For most, to find out what type of man you are.  Then to them (us) it let's us know what kind of man you will be to us.  Granted she is serious about you. Some are just being nosey, to find out how experienced you are and some want to find out exactly like kokeye said: where we can place you and weigh/decide if you are worth our time and effort.
RomanceRe: Have U Been So Emotional Dat U Shed Tears ? by livedit(f): 11:09pm On Dec 14, 2010
Sure I have. But then again, depending upon certain time of the month when Livedit really becomes emotional.  I can sometimes cry because my favorite tv show didn't come on or the mail was late. Anything silly like that.  And alot times, that happen with women too. Your emotions just take completely control.  Some cry and some get angry for no reason at all.  (Granted you are mentally stable) I think it's a good thing to be in touch with your emotions like that.  This is true to happen when you are spirtually and emotionally attached to the person during intimacy. (This does not always mean sex) Just sitting sharing and bonding with each other is another form of "intimacy".  So not everything do not have to be sexual.

But so many people try to hide or pretend nothing affects them when in reality it does affect them. They just have mastered a way to prevent anyone from seeing them.  But eventually that maybe a different story behind closed doors when nobody is around. Watch em' cry like a baby without his pacifier.

RomanceRe: Should Marry Him To Help Him Get His Papers? by livedit(f): 8:53pm On Dec 14, 2010
I agree, that's illegal. To be frankly honest, it IS fraud.  This is the reason why they are making it more harder for immigrants to migrate to this country.  This will be a long drawn out process.  Do you know that if you do this and so happen to get away with it. YOU are responsible for him for the next 10yrs of his life. It's not as easy these days as it has been in the past.  You and him are sworn in to tell the truth or you are facing a penalty for lying.  They are really checking out these so called marriages between the citizens and these immigrants and not even to mention it's quite costly and time consuming. Your friend of a friend need to find another way to come here.  Because the way I see it, if he is able to afford $10K, then he should be able to afford to sponsor himself to get over here.  Tell him to try going to school. There are other ways he can get here. But fraudulently marrying this guy just to get him over here is not only morally wrong but it's unethical.

Straight to the point, I wouldn't do it.

RomanceRe: Can An American Woman Fall In Love With African Man? by livedit(f): 7:36pm On Dec 14, 2010
I love my Yoruba man

But could I live in Nigeria?

No

They would kill me

Literally - I would be marked and I wouldn't give a "damn"

First of all the Lack of Electricity that you pay for - I would televise nationally to keep "Nigeria" in the Public Eye Nationally on that issue to straighten it out - that "mishlebach" - I would be shipping that to Obama's office every chance I got - I would constantly lobby the U.S. to place embargoes on Nigeria and the abuse the citizens take from the police force and the government officials in terms of "basic necessities." I would LOBBY CONGRESS AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN that the masses of Nigeria are suffering and the U.S. is "still sending Aid and collaborating with the corrupt Government"?!!!!

Also - I hear that generators are sold by government officials and/or those sales/warehouses/factories are said to be linked to those in power

Which is an obvious direct "conflict of interest" to STRAIGHTENING OUT THE ELECTRIC PROBLEM

I hear that the Electric Company is Government Owned - let's hope that isn't true because Nigeria looks to be absolutely something else - NOTHING SHORT OF REVOLUTION should occur with the outcome being "constant electricity without a one second interruption", costs of shipping and import/export fees lowered, a completely new police force overseen by 20 "local citizen's groups" that would determine duty, and pay

I would be videotaping and recording left and right inside government offices, the electric companies and transformer stations themselves - "paying employees off" to record documents and conversations and televising that every chance I got

Since I have serious issues with "corruption and abuse" which is generational to my family - my grandparents and parents are activists in the States

I would be marching every single day - and highlighting that issue because lack of electricity means no TV, no video/audio, no computer for any length of time, no workable washer or dryer, no lights, no hot water or cooking unless you go kerosene or gas - UTTERLY RIDICULOUS

I will take my last breath working on that issue - the "rich" have lights and the masses have to endure - I DON'T THINK SOO!!!

Every single time I think about it - the electric problem - I get irritated and I live in the States

And the different Presidents and governing officials have the damn nerve to show their face on camera to the world while eating, sipping, being well adorned - while my baby and his family members are sitting in the dark unless they have generators running 1/4 or less of the household.

So move to Nigeria to look at those scoundrels in charge? Noooo, my blood boils and heart breaks when I think about it. I cannot remember the last time we didn't have electricity - and the lights were out only for less than an hour if that.

The wealth in Nigeria is so massive that "not having electricity" should be a subject that "has never been experienced by anybody in that country."
And the church says Amen! My fiancee is also Yoruba and from Lagos. He told me about them having no electricity there. I haven't visited there yet, but I plan to next year. Wow! Your post was definitely an eye opener. Thank you Shy-One!
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Women In The House~ by livedit(f): 6:54pm On Dec 14, 2010
The same as what it feels like to be a man, well for some women. grin , But seriously for livedit, I feel blessed to be a woman! I love it! As others mentioned, I like the attention and all that. But more than that. I love the curves and silkiness of my skin and the "cushioning" in all the right places. Although hormonal at sometimes, it sometimes works out for the good because that makes most women more sympathetic and caring to others as do some men to. I love the fact that I am capable to carry a human life inside me and experience motherhood. (but not looking forward to the pain, Lol) I'm very feminine so I enjoy all the greatness of that. Only thing I could do without (it's unfortunate but it's for a good reason) is my monthly "visitor" and the cramps and greediness that comes along with it. Point blank: I love men to much to want to even want to be a man.
RomanceRe: Questions by livedit(f): 6:08pm On Dec 14, 2010
orbaxy:
It baffles me to observe that alto of guys/girls who are in an relationship "know" that they can't get married. it's tricky but "coital commitment" is maintained and a problem sets-in when there is a third party "frolicking". Now, the question is:
1. why is the relationship not "open"?
2. can you legitimately call your partner a "cheat" if he/she plays "away game"?
3. Is commitment to be taken serious?
4. why do the ladies cry when they read "his" sms? cheesy
5. can you say he/she broke your heart?
1. why is the relationship not "open"?  If I'm in a committed relationship, why would I want it to be open. If I wanted to see other people and he wanted to see other people, why not just keep it casual then?  That's the whole point of being exclusive/committed. You are committed to each other, not the world.

2. can you legitimately call your partner a "cheat" if he/she plays "away game"?  No, it's not a legitmate reason to think just because your partner is playing the "away game" that means that they are actually cheating.  I can only speak from a female's perspective and the way society is this day in age tends to play a huge factor of whom he/she is really spending their time with.  Depending upon how long he/she is playing the "away game" plays an important factor too.  That is why it's always better to get to know each other, have good communication skills and respect for one another when he/she can't be around as often. Otherwise it will cause insecurity in their partners mind to start wondering who's or what is occupying their time.

3. Is commitment to be taken serious?  For liveit it is and I'm sure for many other people.

4. why do the ladies cry when they read "his" sms? cheesy Not all women do that. I would say if that is the case, it works both ways.  You can say, why when a man reads her sms messages, he ready to tear down the house.  Again another case of poor communication skills and trust on both parts.

5. can you say he/she broke your heart? Is this a rhetorical question? This depends on what you are referring to.  Please be more specific.

RomanceRe: How Do You Tell A Woman She Smells? by livedit(f): 5:25pm On Dec 14, 2010
Siena:
You'll just have to be straight with her, there's no nice way to tell anyone, male or female they don't smell nice. Much depends on your relationship with the lady in question. Obviously, if she's your girlfriend / wife, you should be able to judge her temperament, and know how she'll take things.

Either way, don't make it sound insultive, or make a joke of it. Body odour is a serious issue, and not necessarily caused by bad hygiene, it could well be a health condition. Best of luck.
Couldn't have said it better myself! , I do think she needs to know, despite how hurtful that will be. Mrs. Eve also touched on some good points too! What if it is because she doesn't bathe regularly or thoroughly. If she's doing that and she still have a stinge. Then she could have an infection. Either way, I think she needs to know about it. If that was me, I would want to know. Just let her know you are telling her is because you care. Sometimes it's worse not knowing.
RomanceRe: Girls Naturally Prefer Handsome Guys by livedit(f): 5:06pm On Dec 14, 2010
Basseti:
That could be interpreted in various ways.

One of them ways is that when a girl gets older , her standards begin to fall. Not because she wants it that way, but because reality has begun to sink in.

Suddenly a man with Obj-ish looks will begin to look like a very attractive possibility.
I was a vain immature teenager when I had those superficial "standards". As I matured and realized that it's more to a man than what he "looks" like and "built" like I realized it was silly unimportant. I didn't even think about what "kind" of man he was. Just that he was very muscular and handsome (sexy). He could've been any and everything. But like you said, as I grew older, reality struck and I found those qualties not as important anymore. My fiancee I'm with now is not muscular, he is lean and dark skinned and I think he is the most sexiest, handsome all around good guy than I've ever known. It's more to men that meets the eye is what I'm saying. It's not about the 12 inch pythons, small waist and light-skin. It's the whole package and "overall" substance of the person.
RomanceRe: He Wont Let Go by livedit(f): 4:24pm On Dec 14, 2010
Wow! Two years make that big of a difference to you? I mean, I can see you being upset because he lied to you about his age, but holding out on him just because your 2yrs. of his senior. Wow! I thought I was picky with age brackets. Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion and what they would prefer out of a relationship.

But I truly think if he is this great of a guy then why blow him off completely. Somebody who lies about anything is not good, because if you'd lie about something as little as that. Then what else would you lie about. However, that's to a certain extent. Obviously, the guy was trying to impress you because he really wanted you to give him a chance. So he was wrong for lying, but I can understand his motive to why he lied.

Before you make that final decision (if you haven't already). You need to sit down and write all the things you like about him (minus his age). How does he makes you feel when your with him? Does he treat you good? Does he love you and treat you with respect? If it wasn't for his age, would he be someone you could see yourself with long term. (again, forget about his age for right now) Is there chemistry? Does he has a sense of humor? Is he caring? Do you two get along well?

Then next, I want you to write the things you don't find appealing or dislike about him. Then compare the two. If you are still confused, then I would recommend praying over this situation first, before tossing him to the dogs.
RomanceRe: Should One Have A Back-up While In A Relationship? by livedit(f): 4:13pm On Dec 14, 2010
deniyor:
1. Having a backup means you are not fully committed to either relationship. Why will you bother expending your energy making it work when you can just move on to the next one.
2. It is totally unfair on the backup option. How would you feel if you were a backup option?
3. If the original relationship fails, you go for the backup. That means you don't care for your backup option. Why would anyone want to be second choice.
4. Very likely, the backup option will not know he/she is a backup option. Dishonesty / Deceit is never a good foundation for relationships.
5. It is cheating. If you are sleeping with both of them, just plain disgusting. If you are sleeping with only one, you have to keep one emotionally satisfied somehow. Emotional cheating right there.
Excellent! My thoughts exactly. I feel, if you need a "back-up", then WHY are YOU in a relationship? Another poster mentioned everyone is "hard wired" to go from person to person, that couldn't be more further from the truth. I'm VERY loyal to my partner even when my past relationships cheated on me. I'm just a one man woman. I give my man my full un-divided attention and get the same in return. I guess you can call me selfish, because I do NOT share my man with any other female. Ever!! (Romantically that is, Lol)
RomanceRe: Girls Naturally Prefer Handsome Guys by livedit(f): 3:53pm On Dec 14, 2010
I agree with iice. Beauty/handsome is not good enough. I'm not superficial and I do agree you do need to have some kind of physical attraction to your partner, but a super model or a "pretty boy" is not the only requirement destined in a relationship. I seek "substance" and chemistry in a partner. When I was younger and immature, I use to only like men built like the Incredible Hulk and looked like Christopher Williams until I grew and realized it's more to man than just his "looks". It is a good quality to have, but should not be the only quality every person should only seek in a person.

On a side note, I doubt the guy in that picture I would want to be a "baby's mama" with. He straight, but not what livedit consider a "pretty boy". wink Maybe for someone else.
RomanceRe: Please, I Really Need Your Help To Solve This. by livedit(f): 3:16pm On Dec 14, 2010
I also think you should stay out of it.  You don't want either of to think you are playing one for the other. Like the other's mention, it could backfire on you.  I would stay cordial between those two.  I know it's hard to sit back and watch your friends "feud" like this. But things happen. Let them work it out for themselves. Sooner or later it should blow over, if not. Then that was something out of your control so don't beat yourself up about it if they never reconcile.

RomanceRe: Nothing Wrong With A Fat Wife! by livedit(f): 8:40pm On Dec 09, 2010
Okay, 1st I have to ask, WHO CARES ON WHAT KIND OF WOMAN HE WANTS TO MARRY?  You are a president and suppose to be looking out for your country and by fighting crime, wars, bringing more jobs and equal rights for ALL people and to make that country better and his needle stuck on the type of woman he likes.  Uggh, who voted for this guy? That's what's important. People suffering and dying and all he cared about was how fat people repulse him.  Boy o boy! Don't get livedit started on this.  Everybody have a right to date who they want to date.  Your preference, you don't like big women/men, you don't like un-educated men/women, you don't like tall/short women/men. Again, that is your preference you look for. But why humiliate someone like that.  That comes to show you what kind of morals he has and the lack of quality these people elected. I feel sorry for Nigerian to have someone like him in office.

On another note. Please stop sterotyping that all big people smell. Don't do that. You created chaos on these boards that don't have to be.  It's true, big people do sweat more, therefore, they need to make sure that they bathe good everyday. But please do not use the term that all big people smell and lazy. Because that's not true.  What you should say is: the big people I've encountered smelled.

Sterotypes: That's like saying skinny people are always musty and have bad breath.  That all black people are ghetto, welfare recipients, steal and kill people.  That caucasion people smell like wet dogs and can't dance/jump.  And a very known sterotype, all nigerians are con artists and no good.

The above are just an example of sterotypes.

We all should be educated and mature enough to know that those sterotypes are definitely NOT true!   undecided
RomanceRe: A Virgin And A Disvirgin Which One Would U Recomend For Marriage by livedit(f): 8:11pm On Dec 09, 2010
Hmmm, what should it matter? I mean, in the bible, God intended it to be that way. That goes for both the man and woman.  Before God blessed me with my now fiancee, him being a virgin or not was not applicable because I can careless and that went that same for him too.  He is with ME now. Whomever he was with before me was none of my business. We can always wonder or hope, but you have to be realistic these days for many people.  As long as he is "clean" and we are compatible.  And let's say I did meet a man who said to me that was a quality he must have before going forward, then I'm not the one for him. That is not a prerequisite with this lady.  Again, that doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't be that big of a deal to the man either.  What you did in your past was your business, not there's.  What matters is who you are now. What are you able to bring to the table. Will this person treat me right.  Are they honest and true to themselves. Do they have integrity and morally rich. You could be passing up on a great potential partner because you stuck on their past sexual experience.

RomanceRe: The Problem With Dating And Marrying Women by livedit(f): 7:55pm On Dec 09, 2010
Noigeeriaa:
Women and men have different perspectives. For a woman: the house, kids, security, etc. equal a successful relationship. Once they get that, they don't give a excreta about the man (other than he still provides). This doesn't matter if the woman works or not, what social strata they are in, etc.

For men: They want/need emotional connection. I know a lot of e-virgins who think they are "alpha" will disagree. The man gets the house, kids, security and they still NEED the emotional connection. Problem is, the woman is done with her goals and doesn't need to provide that connection.

It doesn't matter if the woman is a Playboy bunny or a PhD, they all have the same general idea of what a successful relationship looks like. And it rarely matches the ideal of men.
Let me step up. I guess that also applies to me as a "e-virgin"  smiley  Good analogy for some women. But it's not true for all women.  Yes, livedit wants the house, the kids, the dog(s), security etc., but I also need and want to have chemistry and the emotional connection with my man too. What's the point of having the house, the kids, the security and not be emotionally and spiritually connected to that person. I have to have all the above to make me completely happy. I'd be like walking around in a empty shell.  Far as this "e-virgin" is concerned, my mate's happiness matters to me like my very own. So there won't be no lacking on either parts.

Exactly kokoye! It all depends on how individual feel about themselves. Everyone has a choice. I'd rather be overweight and have 1 man loving, respecting me and treating me like a Queen, than a thousand men chasing me because they want to get in my underwear or to use me for whatever else they can get from/out of me. Nobody has to be alone no matter what body type you are. If you are alone, it boils down to because YOU chose to be alone. It has nothing to do with anybody else.

Quality versus Quanity?? Hmmm, you choose? wink

RomanceRe: Two Fat Lonely Girls by livedit(f): 6:36pm On Dec 09, 2010
Wow! So according to the "worlds" theory, if you are over weight, no man wants you and big women will always be cheated/mistreated.  Wow! There are models who get used and dump. Big or small. It's all about how you feel about yourself.  It's true, boys ( I can't say men because men don't behave like this) are gifted at sifting through certain "types" of women and if they are that shady of a person will use/mistreat them.  Most men are able to determine right off the back how much self esteem a woman has about herself.  Then once those "boys" pick up on their low self esteem/self worth, they move in for the kill.  Sadly, this happens to all body types and races.  This world is so corrupt and base everybody worth on a certain look as to why this planet is going to "haites".  Everyone choose to like what they like. But don't go using people. That's straight up wrong! You don't like big people, then don't try and hook up with them. Because as I've said before in a few of my posts, you mistreat a person because of how they look or how YOU think they should look. Why o why do you expect positive results in all aspects of your life.  You wondering why you struggling financially, mentally and emotionally. Why you can't find a job? Why your boy slept with your girl? Why you got sick? Why you got a disease? Why you getting used by the people who suppose to care about you? Why you don't have no real friends? Why you didn't get that promotion? Why you got robbed/beat up? Why your significant other took all your money and left you with nothing? Why you got cut off on the road? Why you wonder sometimes why nothing goes right in your life no matter how hard you try to improve things.

I just feel, you treat people is a reflection on how you really feel about yourself.  You don't have to like big women if you don't want to. It's YOUR choice. But don't treat them like they are some alien and dirt. Being overweight isn't healthy. I'm sure they are aware of that. But that don't give anybody no right to dog them or call them out their name or use them.  Who are you? As long as you are on this imperfect earth, you will always encounter "healthy" and "unhealthy" people.  That is why the bible says: love thy neighbor. It's in the 10 commandments. Instead of harping about how they look, why not try to speak something "positive" in their lives instead of negative insults. If they still choose to not change that's their choice and have to live with it, not you. You love them and pray for them and move on with your life.
