Nurturing a child takes the highest level of patience and perseverance. Definitely, not everyone has that. Society keeps pushing every woman, resulting into abuse or abandonment by those who just don't have that nature but felt forced to have kids just to appear normal.

Kids take a lot, I mean a lot. It should absolutely be a choice for any woman or couple to have kids.

It is all about manners. If one has been well brought up, they can never be caught setting their sights on another person's food so brazenly. Even when asked to come and eat, they will not be so bold and eager to dip their hands in the food.

Well, you said he was hungry. Hunger can cause desperation.

She was wrong for stealing the wig though. A wig is not enough, she needs legit income of her own and then she can rebrand herself. Wearing an expensive wig and then attracting an expensive man will amount to nothing when they sit down and she has nothing to say about her life, no classy attitude and no knowledge to share.

You've not seen anything o. When I was little and we used to give out clothes, they must be washed and ironed and not contain undies. In fact, they had to be very good, almost brand new. If any of these conditions weren't met, some beggars can shove the clothes back into your car, throw them at you, etc. That is somehow understandable, but have you seen where you give beggars money, and they refuse the money out of pride, or that they feel the money is too small or too dirty? Toh.

That habit my mom taught me has caught me. I have clothes to give out, but I've given up on them, because I have to put these clothes in perfectly washed and ironed condition before I give them out. If there is even a stubborn stain or discoloring on it, or a tear, I must burn it. Why are they beggars if their standard is so high?

Not to talk of many Nigerian men, with mad ego. If Nigerian beggars have such pride, then you can be sure that Nigerian men see themselves as small gods whom no one in their little bubble worlds must be above. If the groom is the one to receive gifts from his family, the wife would be glad, and she can't oppose to it. It would look weird.

Why can't a husband too be happy that his wife is receiving gifts from her family? Why all this animosity from men towards gifts received by their wife from the wife's family?

Nothing in her family should match yours, if your family are not caring for you, bringing you gifts, hers should also not attempt it? Men's families would abandon them, and the men will want the same misery to be visited upon their wives as well.

But, the chicken always comes home to roost. Men and women are different and have been pre-programmed so. You 21st century women seem all out trying to blur the gender lines, much to your dismay.

Boys will always be boys! Men will forever be mindful, wary and obsessed with a woman's body count, and will forever remain unforgiving when sexually betrayed.

Men, most of the time view sex as sport, a game of conquest, sometimes of leisure and not always necessarily an act of emotional connection or love.

Hence, the wise old generation that we like to call archaic devot more time in advising women to maintain their sexual purity and be chaste. I have been really shocked all these years. Empathy is wasted on so many of them. They complain about women's coldness but they themselves often have no heart to spare.

If only girls can see what guys are and the horrible things they are really thinking of them when they give in to sex for the first time, in the name of so called romantic love.

It seems there is no real love on the part of the men, just calculation. Sorry for the cheating lady who thinks the guy outside loves her, meanwhile with the way guys think, he just sees her as a damaged product which he has tested.

A lot of men don't see women as human beings. Just as products with different values and uses. Nairaland is one of the factors that has helped me see that.

When I was younger I got two of these. Had them for some years but they didn't like me. One day I tried to touch one of them and it held my finger in its beak for almost half an hour, before freeing me. That was painful and scary because I was aware that it could have decided to break my finger, and it felt like my finger being firmly held between two tiny sharp points. The rest of the house promptly ignored me because I had been disturbing the parrots too much and needed a lesson, lol.

I was told they charm these birds and sell them. I think they sell the ones that can't even talk, usually the green parrots. Meanwhile people are excited to get them, believing wrongly that all parrots can learn to talk.

One of my two parrots flew away, the other one got depressed/lonely and nearly died, we bought a new one as a mate. A snake came in and tried to eat them once and I ran for my life (snake was killed) but later on they escaped. Well, they weren't happy in captivity so I hope they thrived in the wild.

This advice is for a certain category of women. A category that earns the mentioned amount already, so they can afford to be that picky or play those games with a man.

That's the thing they don't tell you. You must have your own money and be made as well. You should be a bit on their level. So you are not helpless in the hands of the man you want to go for, so you can avoid financial abuse due to leaning on him totally.

I don't bleach.

I believe bleaching makes people attractive to the majority of Nigerians, if not me. I don't like bleaching because of the after effect, but I will never blame those who do.

Lastly, I don't believe you don't like bleaching for the reasons you mentioned. I think you are scared (insecure) of your wife being snatched up by some of the men who value bleached or light skinned women, as light skin is a beauty standard in Nigeria.

My cousin who enjoyed utmost loyalty from his wife decided to bring her abroad where he stays.

The lady got a job, earned exactly the same figure with hubby and turned to Jezebel overnight.
