Hello NL.
I'm going to keep this brief.

It started three weeks ago. my mum, who was walking normal with no problem suddenly could not walk. Her left leg began paining her severely that day. My mum was all in tears... She was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered that her sugar level was on the high side. The hospital gave drugs which stabilised it, at that point my mum was very weak, couldn't eat, each time she eat she throws up and also had some pain in the leg still. After a week in the hospital, we were then referred to a teaching hospital after a test showed that creatinine in her kidney was high.

The teaching hospital tried their best and I can say my mum is now okay. Except for the left leg. She can't still walk on it, the leg feels cold to touch with a little discolouration above the foot.

Doppler test showed that blood isn't really flowing through the leg. And they said they will need to amputate the leg to prevent the infection from growing to the other parts of the body.

Please I want to know if you know anyone who had similar condition and amputation was recommended but was later healed without need for amputation.

Please share your recommendations. I need my mum now more than before in my life. We are confused on whether to allow them to go on with the amputation or seek other alternatives.

Why not take her to orthopedic hospital if you think the doctors you are using is not giving you the solution

For the leg to be cold, it's possible that there are no blood flow there and probably dead but still there

You guys all have to take one decision and make sure that's the best decision to save your mum's life

I live with my girlfriend she has been staying with me for a year and 8 months now , sex was perfect 3 to 4 times a week . Last nite, I over-heard a heated arguement between a Father and his two female children. They are my neighbours, with just Fence seperating us. The major cause of the increase in price was that, government exempted those that deals on cooking gas from tax for two years, now the two years has passed and they have started paying taxes, so the burnt is on we the consumers

I'm at the verge to decide either to dropout or to continue forge ahead.

I was just informed by my level advicer that I won't proceed with 400l courses till I clear all carryover courses.

It all started when I applied for admission I was given an engineering course instead of the I course applied for. Initially I was reluctant to accept the admission but relative and friends advice made me to succumbed for an engineering.

In year one, I did well academically. fast forward to year 2, I lost my dad he was the only sponsor I had and first semester exam was fast approaching, I lost interest completely on education.

When year two first semester was released I had 4 carryovers, my exam officer called me to know what the problem was I explained everything to him, he encouraged me to put more effort.

What I needed then was someone who could support me financially and encourage me but nobody cares to even ask how I was doing academically.

After year two second semester results was released I had 2 carryovers again.

In 300l first semester everything went smoothly no carryovers. 300l second semester I had two carryovers. Accumulating everything to 17units.

After all this struggle and suffering i went through none of my relatives cares, now that I'm about to give up my aunty showed up and took all my school expenses upon herself.

The question running through my mind is where was she all this while?

Why I'm considering dropping out is I'm 27 already and I can't see myself repeating 300l.
