I rented my apartment 2 months ago for 250k. Few days after parking in, i discovered that the pumping machine in the house is faulty. Two weeks ago, the machine went down and we haven't had water ever since.

I wasn't told about the water challenges in the house prior to payment. Now the landlady is not serious about fixing or buying a new pumping machine. She has been blaming the old tenants for the condition of the machine.

Please i need advice, i have not had a good bath for weeks now. Is it possible to get a lawyer that will facilitate reduction of my rentage to six months and refund of half of the payment?Thanks.

I remember back then someone was motivating students in a tertiary institution that they shouldn't give up, even if school is hard, there's no way they can just slump and die.

That was many years ago, But can he say that today?

I am in my mid 20's, I do things solely on my own financially. I work in a company with a take home monthly pay of 70k and at the same time I'm running a part time program for my National Diploma, I'm in my ND2 now.
So I planned to quite my job by December and process a direct entry into a Federal University to get a BSc, I planned to save enough money to pay my bills during the course of schooling and I can still work during vacation as I am highly skilled in the field, the skill is highly sort for all over the country. But I'm confused on either to still keep my Job and further my Education when I make enough money and have a business of my own.

This is not a Joke. I married my woman about 6 months ago. We dated for about 4 months and I married her. She insisted that I marry her otherwise she moves away. And she was my perfect type of woman so I had no choice.

After our wedding she refused to make love on our wedding night. She said she wasn't in the mood for that. I let her be. For 1 month we did not do anything not like I married her for sex but it's unusual I confronted her and she agreed. We started making love normally.

About 2 months later I started having weird nightmares, seeing all sorts in my sleep sometimes I wake up and find myself under the bed. I asked her regarding me under the bed she said I usually roll and fall then roll under the bed. It's sounds funny but it's not a funny experience. For 2 weeks straight it happened consecutively. Then i changed my sleeping position to the wall so I cannot roll off. I still find myself under my bed. This usually happens when we make love. If we don't it doesn't.

She goes to church with me, prays with me and acts normal but sometimes she is not normal at all. It was Last month, I noticed that she Does not use the mirror and yet her make up is perfect, she does not bath with the shower water and she comes out wet. Excuse me, your wife enters the bathroom you do not hear the sound of running water at all and she comes out wet. How is this possible? I'm running mad. She Does not sit in front of a mirror because there is no mirror in our room and she comes out with a beautiful face.

When she sleeps at night, it takes hours for her to wake up. She might sleep 8pm and wake 11am. When she wakes she looks so stressed and tired (someone who is just waking up).

Last 2 weeks, I was to attend a party my friends organized for me to celebrate us. She told me not to go to the party that she won't go. I went alone with the hope of lying to my friends that she called in sick. Because it doesn't make sense. I got to the party it went well but coming back home I was involved in a motor accident though I survived unhurt it was this morning I started to read meanings into all this. Infact on Sunday, she told our house assistant to fetch some box of matches from the nearby shop. The house assistant was yet to come and I saw my wife cooking rice.

I asked her if she has found some matches, she said no. I don't know what came over me I was dumbfounded. How in the world did she light the gas? Without a match. I did not ask her because I am afraid to ask her. It's as if she can read my thoughts. I was planning on a silent divorce with one lawyer I did not tell her yet. She came to me and said i want to divorce her..hw did she know?

Please if I start counting all this tin it will take a whole day. Please I don't know the section to post maybe religion i don't know.

She is a loving girl, we have dated for 6years . I and her both love each other to the very bottom of our hearts. Well am Doing fine base on my finances . Would want to tie the knot with her this December precisely .
Though relationship has come with ups and downs through out those year but at the end of everything we still waxing strong.
My major is that have realised that she more of a spender then the opposite,she hardly save her income always trying to look expensive. I have tried talking to her not directly but she keeps repeating the same mistake. Though it's her money but we save for Incase of emergency. There is nothing tangible in her account. All these moneys are mostly channel into expensive jewelry, shoes , which I know doesnt put them 3 to 4 times . The cycle continues.

This would've drawn us even on profits from the materials.. but I guess that's me wanting to gain from both sides. Though that isn't wrong after all it's my contract. But the fact is that he handed me the job, so it's only fair I leave the profits for the materials for him.

Besides he knows the exact materials I need. And if I tell him I need significantly less than that he will suspect.

The contract is securely in my possession now and I've been fully paid. Initially, the plan was for my bro to supply me the materials

But the issue now is the quotation he's giving me is way higher than what I'm getting elsewhere.

I've asked him to beat down his price but he's adamant. I plan on sidelining him if he doesn't do the needful.

This is no fiction or story. I DNT want to include name, pictures or state to avoid negative comments from some ppl.
My wife abuses me physically, psychologically and even spiritually.. these are some of my pains..
1. She stopped me from performing any conjugal afffair when she was 3months pregnant till now. Our son is 1yr some months now.
2. Physical abuse
3. Death threats 3 times, when I told her family she brought a defense that she only say that in her anger state.
4. Out of same anger she went out naked bfo ppl in my compound n rain curses on me.
I sent her back to her parents. After some days She went and made some crocodile cries before my parents and now my parents and that of her's are calling to beg, telling me she has repented. Now my family are telling me to err is Human and forgiveness is divine. Am running for my life but my friends are equally saying I shd let go the past.
My fellow nairalanders, i made a promise to make my self and parents proud.. pls advice a brother.

Realistt:
I need mature advice of ways to seriously discipline and deal with a disrespectful wife without laying a finger on her with the sole aim of putting an end or drastically reducing her incessant provocative behaviour and continuous disrespectful attitude. All she does is apologize afterwards but will repeat same attitude after some weeks or months.

PS: I take absolute responsibility of the financial needs and otherwise at home. I really don't know why she keeps disrespecting me at the slightest thing.

I met a Nigerian lady (37) on Facebook, we got to know ourselves. She's in the US while I'm in Nigeria here, we start talking even though we first had some issues/arguments, before we get start liking ourselves. Later we both turn out to like ourselves, even though I'm 31 years here.

Before we meet online, her family wanted her to marry a family friend from Nigeria. (All her family is in the US too). But she didn't like the guy, they could not get along with themselves.

We liked ourselves so much, that we always talk everyday. She later talk to her mum about me. but her mum don't like us together, she complain about the age difference. She also talked to her friends about me, even one of her friends called me.

I told my mum about it too..

We've been together for over 3month now, talking everyday. Suddenly, she texted me 2 days ago, that she's going to block me for a week, that she promised she will contact me back..

I felt heartbroken.

I told some friends here too, they advice me to block her too. If she could not tell me a reason for doing that.
