I will suggest the followings based on experience

But blocks don't mould blocks, you can't stand their wahala because you don't have all the time

Before foundation, settle the people responsible for foundation and its possible there will be refreshments on that day

The boys working for you will keep making demands for water, ask one of them to get a bag if cold water for them

If you have some one handling the job, be on ground to watch what they are doing

If you want cement, get a near by cement store to buy your cement and be there when it will be delivered and use

If you are nit clever enough, they will do you the more you see the less you understand

Just get like 5/10 bags of cement, depending on what they need it for

Don't dig a bore hole yet because once you go home, those vagabonds will steal your pumping machine

Negotiate with the nearest house if the have water so that you can get water supply

Be friendly with the neighbours around because they are the one staying there before you and they will also advise you

When you need materials, ask your engineer the best products, buy them yourself and let him charge you for workmanship

Don't be hard on them and don't be too soft on them

The best time for build especially laying blocks and plastering is from September till March

Lastly, if it will cost you 200k yo do anything, add extra 50k because prices changes without notice

I was shocked what I heard my neighbours maid telling someone behind my window how my neighbour refused to settle her and what she is planning to do to him.

From the gist the maid said since she came over to live with my neighbour she has never had rest.
My neighbour just say Mr John (I have to change the name for safety) lives with his wife and two little kids. And he is a contractor while his wife works as an accountant in a thriving company. So she leaves very early to work leaving the two little kids at home. Initially her mum was staying withe the kids till she left.

So now the man and the wife goes out together leaving the kids with the maid.

The issue now is, very early the man will dress up with the wife and escort her to the junction sometimes even enter car before her on their way to work.

But in less than 30 minutes he will be back home. By then the maid has drop the kids in school.

The next thing straight to the maids room and ...... Till he is done.

She said this has been going on for weeks. And the issue now she too want to gain or else we will make sure madam finds out. If he refuse to settle her.

Have you considered the weight of that tank, weather effects on it anytime it fulls and pour down

There is no way water will fill and off immediately without pouring or overflowing

I stand on my advice that its the effect of the over head tank that is affecting it

It will definitely continue like that until its removed

Rain falls effects has no impact as the tank seating on a decking

It's never a good idea to mount a water tank on a concrete roof of a building

this structure was built in December 2019.
I noticed the room is always moisty,
When the room windows and door is shut... The glass sweat from inside.
Now it's the roofing(decking), just this part of the decking.
The room is well ventilated but since no occupant the windows and doors are always shut.


Above the decking is completely tiled and two brand new water tanks are sitting untop.


What could this imply?

It's never a good idea to place water tank on a decking

That's why you see some people lay nylon before decking and still tile it before mounting the tank, yet it will still leak

Best option is to remove the tank and do a separate tank stand to stand on its own

No matter how you prepare a decking to carry tank, it must bring out moisture, if not now later, but it must occur

So relocate the thank and renovate that portion

Have been caught up in a difficult situation. I have been dating this my lovely girlfriend for more than a year now. She is beautiful, humble, kind and a good girl. She is from a good family too. The parents are not too rich just average and doing very well. They are 2 girls and 3 boys and the elder sis is more of a slay queen i.e so beautiful and refuses to marry so the mother is hoping on this my girl to settle down, always encouraging her to settle down.

Now I am 29 years and I really love this girl and she loves me more than i actually love her, always ready to do my biding. She is just 22 and I wish to marry her someday but my finances are low. I have met the father and he said he doesn't need anything from me only things for the kinsmen or whatever but my parents are the opposite. Infact my dad won't even entertain my thought of getting married now because despite am staying alone, i still get small stipends from him monthly so he knows am not financially independent.

To cut the long story short.. My girl is pregnant again after several abortions in the past and she is refusing to take pills. She wants to keep this one and is urging me to come pay her bride price so we can move in together. This was not my dream way of getting married. I don't have a problem with her keeping the child but I just cannot marry now with my monthly salary of 40k which am struggling to feed and pay bills.

There are many negative things people say about MTN. Sincerely, I've always given them an open mind but tonight I discovered something very terrible about them

Summary:
When you subscribe for night data, MTN doesn't only deduct from your night data balance, they also deduct from your main balance.

Explanation
For long I've been using the MTN pulse plan. I buy 1.5gig weekly. But because I usually need to download tutorials from YouTube I support my data with their 500mb midnight plan.

I've always noticed that my 1.5gig doesn't last long. Within five days (sometimes three days) my data would have finished.

I spend a lot of time online but there's no way my daily usage can reach 400mb. Most of my time online is on WhatsApp, searching google for information and staying up to data with industry gists on Twitter.

This night I subscribed to the MTN night plan, then used their app to check my balance before browsing. If you use the mtn night data regularly then you know there's no way to check your balance with USSD.

Luckily for me, the MTN app shows the night balance. So I was able to monitor both my main data balance and the midnight balance.

Guess what I found?
MTN was deducting from both accounts simultaneously.
No wonder, this is the snake that has been stealing eggs from my poultry.
I was so angry that I wanted to remove the SIM but I decided to collect evidence before removing their SIM.

Below are two screenshots. I took the first before downloading a video from YouTube. The video is 48mb.

Then I took the second screenshot after the download had completed.

As you can see, MTN didn't even touch my night data again. They deducted virtually everything from my main balance.

This is so painful. I feel cheated.
