^^^
You na correct man!
See rapid response to problem and solution found!

One man said Obama had to be 50% white to win the election and that no 100% percent black man would have won that election, especially the debate, where McCain was asking Obama questions that would have annoyed a regular black man. He said the 50% black man in Obama wanted to tell McCain to "Shut the Hell Up!" but that was when the 50% white man in him told the 50% black man, "Go back! We are near the finish line, don't mess it up now!"

So that place you are living has given you a bit of 30% white man with which you run this programming board and every one can see the result! I believe it is that other 100 + 10% black man running this board that knows why the thread was locked! I did not mention names of anybody o, before they re-re-reban me!

Thanks man!
Reply from the 110% proud black man is that your thread was locked because you had two identical threads on the same issue and its forum policy to lock such threads. If Fayimora decides to bend that rule for you, its because he's interested in keeping "our customers" happy :-).

Its also not a good idea to sow discord.

There's such a thing as division of labour. Fayimora handles mostly the community and I tackle the spammers/marketers and followup gurus who can help people on the site (2buff, kobojunkie, beaf, *dhtml and for hardware (you)).

Emancipate thy mind bro and also expect me to lock any dual posted threads in future.

freecocoa: shocked shocked shocked, upon that long essay he wrote?chai.grin
welcome to nairaland freecocoa, land of the anti-intellectual. grin

My reply is that he should criticize by creating. Please list your own qualities.

I listed the man I want.

One who's not
-->a martyr
-->a coward
-->a naive politician who assumes pandering to the public is the best way to lead the country.
-->an inneffective entity with a history of failed projects.

thats the simple gist of what I wrote.
PoliticsRe: Qualities Of A Man That Will Change Nigeria by kodewrita(m): 10:42am On Mar 20, 2012
A pragmatic man/woman who:

1) realises that drastic change as expected by nigerians may not be sustainable.
2) knows how to achieve swift quick wins to solve small easily solvable problems.
3) has a track record of finishing what he/she starts before jumping off to solve others.
4) knows how to shoulder public attacks without seeming flustered or petty.
5) who knows how to handle the press without crushing them with the SSS or hiding from them.
6) who knows how to bring irreversible change in a day-by-day slow but assured manner ( boiling the frog by increasing the temp steadily) without letting public opinion rise so high as to oppose him/her or stop his/her policies).
7) who understands the different faultlines on which nigeria is built and knows how to use those to his/her benefit and the benefit of all nigerians.
cool who is willing to shed blood appropriately in the service of the nation to keep order.
9) who has a history of recruiting people smarter than him/her to handle critical posts.
10) who is prepared to accept small political defeats in the service of greater long term strategic victory.
11) refrains from making public unconfirmed statements without information.
12) keeps critical information between his ears when necessary or is exceptionally open when the need arises.
13) who is able to swiftly identify cliques/enemies/negative stakeholders and take decisive action to smash them before they constitute a threat to the state.
14) has built up diverse networks: political, business, tribal to ensure his/her unassailability.

Essentially: A well-connected charismatic, pragmatic, media-savvy, decisive, wise, resolute and patient reformer with a thick skin.

As an assignment to aid your development, please read about tcp and socket programming.

If all you do is build websites, you won't appreciate the full inter connectedness of information technology.

The dude in charge of networking facebook's many servers is a guru on a completely different level from your average code monkey. Same for the guys in charge of the site's many database schemas.

alaribe22:
what os are you using? If you r using windows, what version? The general method for windows is this: First, install iis, this is the default server for windows, , then install firefox. Installing iis makes the computer open its localhost port, after this, you can uninstall the iis and install wamp, dont forget to select firefox as your default wamp browser, And note that even after uninstalling iis, the inetpub folder in the c directory remains, Please ask questions if you need more help.
just to correct you, there is no need to install iis to access port 80. Just install wamp and open your firewall settings. Open exceptions and allow the wamp service to send and receive traffic on port 80. That's all
