Thank you! What we did was get Reference Letters from friends who have bought from us and our repeat customers. Basically they just testify to the suthenticity of your business relationship and how long they have been doing business with you. Like a letter of good standing. We did not use a particular format, but these were the guidelines we used. ovy92: Wow this is amazing news, huge congratulations, I am super happy for you because I am in the exact boat as you as I am a self employed person
Please i have 1 question, can you kindly assist with the format for the Reference Letter from Customers
I don't know how to message my customers for a reference letter, I don't know what to advise them to write in the Reference Letter
Please kindly assist
Thank you in advance and Congratulations once again |

I know this sounds like a broken record now, but I never wanted to leave abroad on a permanent basis. I have always been team visit and come back home. After we got married, my husband subtly kept pushing for it but I wasn’t interested. My tipping point was when I watched the commonwealth games in 2018, saw how beautiful Australia was and most importantly, how even the physically challenged kids were given a chance to be whatever they wanted in a thriving society. It triggered something innate with me and I told my husband I was ready. ECA My husband (PA) had a very smooth ride with his. Nnamdi Azikiwe University and LBS were pretty quick. FUTO wanted to delay my destiny but the God I served finally touched them to let me go after my husband had to physically go to my school to get the transcript sent. It was a terrible 5 month unnecessary wait. IELTS BC first attempt, IDP second and third attempt. I was so excited when we eventually cleared it in December.
ITA Missed the January 10th draws (E pain me sha), clinched on the 23rd. Had our medicals at Q Life on the 13th of March. WORK EXPERIENCE So, we applied as Self Employed Applicants. My husband is the sole signatory to the account. The following documents are what we submitted for this purpose: - All our CAC Documents - The FIRS Tax Registration Document(The paper you are given when you register for FIRS TIN number) - LIRS Tax Documents ( my husband updated his LIRS tax payments) - Screenshot of our website - Screenshot of our Social Media Pages ( Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) - Screenshot of my husband’s LinkedIn page - Invoices and receipts from customers(about 4 each over a 5 year period) - Supplier Invoices and Receipts(about 4 each over a 5 year period) - Screenshot of emails exchanged with clients - References from Customers ( about 4 in total) We didn’t submit our company bank statements (This was done with fear and trembling and I actually expected an ADR for it, but we were not asked for it) NOC Ours was pretty straight forward, NOC 0124 because that is my husband’s core function as the CEO. We didn’t list our duties anywhere, I guess the VO was satisfied with all the documents we submitted. PROOF OF FUNDS Now this was the major tricky part for me. We are a business that needs money constantly to run, we could not afford to pull out all the money for a family of 5 POF. So we got a gift deed from my mum for the full amount a day before we submitted. So we submitted the following: - Notarised Gift deed signed by my mum and dad, witnessed by my husband and I. We scanned it to them after typing they signed and scanned back to us. We signed and notarised it at the high court Igbosere. - Screenshot of Oanda with exchange rate for the day; - A one paged bank statement showing the day the money came into his account. That was all. I was really worried, not sure of this would fly, but we had the money on standby in case they required proof it was still available. MEDICALS This was done at Q-life March 12th or so. We wanted it done close to our submission date.
BIL Got a ghost update for Med Pass/BIL when I just randomly checked our account. We got the mail later in the night. We went for biometrics and spent 5 hours there, good thing was that it showed completed on that same day. WAITING GAME I checked our account twice a day, every day. As soon as they resume and as soon as they are about to close. Raised a CSE but didn’t get a response. Tempted to call sooooo many times, but held myself back. I even wanted to mail Ralph, I just told myself I would save that card for a later time. UPDATE Ended up calling once, raised CSE thrice. I got two generic responses and one actual response that let me know my background was in process on June 28th. We are still waiting for PPR, I always believed we would clinch it 3 months post AOR (everyone thinks this, lol). It happens for some, while it does not happen for some like me who is still waiting. We are still waiting on the Lord and I will keep updating this as I remember. I have never been a patient human, this wait has sent me to different ends of the emotional spectrum. From feeling Zen and all at peace for days and randomly getting stressed and worried about my application ,trying to concoct what documents I should submit to speed up the process. Toddles!
30-07-2019 We are now 218 members in our PPR group 01-09-2019 Baba GOD AM I YOUR ADOPTED CHILD!!! 18-09-2019 I am sick of this wait though, this was not the plan. 24-09-2019 I cave din and sent Ralph an email. He responded same day with Criminality passed, Eligibility and Security not yet started. I quickly rebuked his response and declared it was not for me. 25-09-2019 I have sent a total of 8 Web forms. During this time, progress has gone from background in process/eligibility not started to background in process/eligibility in process. 27-09-2019 Attended night of increase in my church, this year was really one kain, so I just left it all at the altar of God and asked Him to do loads of new things in my life. The Holy Spirit said I should go home and cry no more. 08-10-2019 We caught a ghost update. Yay!!! Progress. 09-10-2019 Refreshed email tire, I no see anything. Continued downloading my Jenifas Diary and slept off mid process. My husband woke me up at 4:30am showing me the email. Saying I was ecstatic is an understatement. I was dazed for a few hours, in shock at what God has finally done. This group helped me immensely, read from part 1 and caught up at Part 5. I learned about all the documents we will need to submit from here too! Thank you so much. Shout out to the best group in the world Feb/Mar AOR. You all are the best and we will celebrate big time soon with everyone. Now the journey begins. |

Congratulations! your story really resonanted with me, i can relate to so many aspects of it! God bless your journey and may the land be fruitful to you, Amen. [quote author=Villagegirl post=82324057] Title: Probably the Longest and Most Uneventful PPR Story EverLet's start from the middle...3 Months+ POST AORIt's 30th of April 2019 and I'm dancing round my house and singing "He has done for me, He has done for me..." if you have plenty education and you're shaking your head right now and saying "Nigerians!" Don't worry as long as you're on this journey, you'll surprise yourself. I've typed my PPR testimony before but it seemed forced. Today, however, there's a joy flowing in my heart because so far, I've worked with God's timeline on everything about this journey. Even before I had my AOR, it was revealed to me that we'd get our PPR in May. Yes oh. This information made waiting *a bit* easy for me. I think one other thing that made waiting easy was reading what Ladymarshall write onetime about just preparing one's mind for a long wait. Our application will be four months in 18 days and I haven't raised CSE, I haven't called CIC, I haven't written Raphl, ordered notes or joined any whatsapp group. I've just focused mainly on threads like this one and immitracker on some days. In fact all my prayer has been "God you told me May oh" So I'm walking round the house today 30th April and saying "God May is starting tomorrow" I don't want to have to retype the beginning of my PPR. 30th May UpdateWell looks like it won't happen this May..bummer. It's been a great coping mechanism though...just 49 days left so I'm glad to have experienced it all, I've had friends having dreams of low CRS, great IELTS scores and shoveling snow in Canada. This journey is physically and mentally draining, find whatever makes you filled with hope and keep believing it even if it feels stupid! Whatever the case, don't let this journey rob you of your peace of mind; ain't worth it. Like LadyMarshall says, the timeline is 6 months for actual PR waiting, factor in 9 months to a Year if you're trying to better your CRS, hope to get it earlier but don't give yourself high BP if it comes later! (I wrote this in May and I smile now thinking about how the wait is heating up for Ladymarshall) 23rd June 2019 UpdateIt's a Sunday, and the Pastor is preaching on an "Invicible Future"...the preaching is about Abraham's move to a foreign land. The talk even entered relocating abroad and Pastor says, you can relocate wherever you like, just pay your tithe here...Pastor doesn't know what we're doing...God is this a sign? ...but then again, everything is a sign when you're waiting for PPR. Heck my mind even told me that the packet of soap in my house won't finish before I get PPR. Several packets later... I derail... |

This is so encouraging and it made me smile so much. Thank you,we will not despair but wait on expectantly. wasseynewest: Salute to every member in here that has been making the thread stand out as always. Una boy "wasseynewest" apologise for his absence all along guys.
Like we all know, Canada na "Pay as you go " so man has really been trying to integrate. But rest assured, in my own little way with my indefatigable co-tutors, we continuing with our IELTS gospel and thank God that for every IELTS results released, we do have sizeable numbers of our TAKERS crossing the greatest hurdle & making the cut.
If anyone is still in doubt whether this journey is worth fighting for, I bet you it's gonna be a decision you will never ever regret if you hang on till the end. In fact, your offspring will be 4ever indebted to you.
In the few months(just 3) wey man don enter here, my brain has been formatted so tey whenever I do video call with my people back home and see some things like Pure Water & Bad Roads, I'm always like, oh! So I've passed through this before . As funny as it sounds my people, that's the pure truth guys. It was a matter of Writing IELTS 123456789&10 btw myself and wifey but finally, here we are starting afresh and enjoying our new lives in Canada.
Our boys are first to integrate, we know how kids can be na while Wifey, a Chemistry grad. who was unable to get a #1 job in Naija is now gainfully employed. Me too ? Doing just fine with an establishment that pays way better (and less stressful) than what I used to earn back home.
So guys, no matter the challenge you facing right now, I tell you giving up on this dream should be your last option.
No Pain, No Gain...........#Bemotivatedguys

THE MEDICAL HURDLE After the background check update, I got a request to redo medicals for me and my family. We promptly booked for our medicals although the preferred choice of children’s practice was no longer available and booking had become serious hotcake! I came to this house and appealed for slots and swaps back then. I finally got an opening with IOM and we went for the medical exams in November 2018. During my physical examination, a large size tumour was observed and I was referred to a specialist for more information. This was the point where my story took a big turn, the final diagnosis after batteries of medical tests was that it was cancerous and I decided immediately to go for a surgery in Nigeria in the earlier part of 2019 and improve my chances of a good medical review. Surgery and recovery took about 4 months and the Canadian dream had to play second fiddle to my health. After surgery, I submitted a number of reports to IRCC as requested and was also asked to prepare to submit another follow-up report six months post surgery. |

I can't thank Him enough first and foremost for the gift of life, for His protection and provision, for this mighty thing that He has done and must importantly for giving me the grace to remain on Faith street and trust Him till He came through.
Decision to relocate was February 2018,
On the 5th of April, I was in this very terrible traffic and I decided to have an honest conversation with God. I didn't pretend about my expectation, I bared my soul to Him and asked Him to answer speedily! That same night at about midnight, my husband called and was at the verge of tears. The promotion list in his office had been released and after waiting for 67 months, his name wasn't on the list. I knew then that God was about to do something bigger than that promotion and bigger than all the other small things we had been hoping for. I comforted him and stayed up until he got home, I was afraid to tell him what I was feeling in my heart but I went ahead still and we agreed that it would be from my lips to God's ears. |

Well said better person. Mamaroon: Thank you for your post jare! It breaks up the monotony of our EE questions.
Permit me to use the church example.....As in a church...some are Sunday school teachers...others are ushers...some are in sanitation department....some are in prayer...others in choir....we on this thread are in the EE group.
We want to go to Canada so we can send money back to NGOs... so we can come back later with ideas... some of us may decide never to set foot in NG again and that's ok too...the whole world is now a global village....Bill Gates is making more of a difference in the fight against malaria than any African...and he doesn't live on our continent!!!
Did you know US and UK nationals are in the top 10 migrants to Canada list? On one hand you say "whites" aren't selfish like blacks......on the other hand UN should investigate them for behaving like old slave masters....which is it?
Btw: using migration to fill a working population gap from aging is a well established economic theory. No blame game is necessary but if you insist on one...blame the country that makes it tempting for its talented, educated, middle class youth to leave...don't blame the one that's providing opportunities for them. |

We have heard, thank you Let's make our own $265,000 without overtime. Please rest, thank you. rentAcock: Before anyone says I'm ranting because I was denied Visa or whatever PPR thing you guys relish here like a lottery ticket, I also used to think abroad was the be all end all after graduating from university. I also hustled and eventually left Nigeria. I made $265,000 that year working several overtime hours (I have the W-2 and tax return forms to prove it) but I was never really satisfied because this part of me kept feeling like I betrayed my country. It takes a special kind of person to self reflect and then decide to walk away from a lifestyle of adequate security, good health care system, great schools, cheap food and law & order but without any sacrifice, Nigeria will perpetually remain a 3rd world cesspool. I moved back, got a job and started a mentorship and scholarship program where we find youths whose families are unable to pay their elementary and secondary school fees and we partner with local businesses to raise funds for these kids. School isn't for everyone, we also train several kids in IT, carpentry, plumbing, construction and mini importation. Has it been easy? No. Do I sometimes miss the convenience of my 2 bedroom apartment in north Los Angeles? You bet I do. But do I feel accomplished knowing that I'm making a positive change in small ways that will alleviate poverty, possibly reduce crime and put more food on the tables of a few Nigerians? Certainly.

congratulations,so happy everything worked out for you at the end. Go ye and prosper! konti: IT’S PPR indeed the Golden mail has landed. This Canada waka started in 2017 when hubby wrote ielts in December shortly before I had my first son. I wrote mine in March L7R8W6S7.5. Crs 380. A friend invited us to this group and we realized that the ultimate score for good crs is 8777 and the younger the applicant, the juicer . The responsibility fell on me to become the p.a. I had to brace up to tackle listening and writing. Fast forward to June 2018, second ielts attempt L8R8S7.5W6.5. Oh!!! I wept, we proceeded for remark and after about 8weeks of anxious waiting, it came out unchanged. Before I knew it, I took in again(chai, who send me msg na ) i started attending class in order to defeat writing. After the rigorous exercise, September came and I had the worst result ever L8.5R6.5W6S8, I was broken, discouraged and tired. Thank God for a supportive spouse who kept speaking positive words in my ears. Infact he proceeded to book 2 consecutive exams. Come October 13th I smashed L8R7.5S7.5W7 . We couldn’t ask for refund because the result came out a day before the next exam. I went in for the oct27 and I waved goodbye to ielts in style L8.5R8.5W7S7.5 . With a good ielts score+below 30+masters+3yrs work experience, crs 474. We dived into the pool in Nov and here is the timeline. Ita Nov 15. Aor Dec 20. Biometrics Jan 30. March 12, I Put to bed. March 14 I raised cse for newborn. It wasn’t up to 24hrs, I got double ADR. They requested more info of the company I referenced, my pay slips( I had 7 days to submit this)The second adr was for my baby. I submitted the first adr. Tackled the second within 2weeks( baby’s passport, medical and payment and updated Pof) I submitted these documents on 31st March and my ppr landed on 4th April. Whoops!!!! This journey was indeed an emotional roller coaster but God came through for us. Our VO is Ottawa. |
